I had to go get my car title today in Montego Bay so I caught up with my mom who took me to see some of the properties she had sold or was in the process of selling/renting. Living in Jamaica is a blessing but I was on the opposite end of those you want to live or visit my island home. I was making preparations to see a little bit more of the world.

It’s always good to have a house in Jamaica, something to come back to. Some people want to return to JA, but can’t because they decided to get rid of what property they owned. It is good to have your own.

I agree 100% with you. I left Jamaica 29 years ago and served 11 years in the USN, and I have traveled all around the world. I found my way back home. He is young with no children or responsibilities he can go and see the world.
@MrCandytyper Never say never. Florida has become very expensive to live, especially south Florida. Jamaica seems like a viable option now.
I have been watching you for a while now. Happy that you have the opportunity to leave Jamaica. This will push you to the next level if you keep your head screwed on. Because there will be challenges even with the people you expect better from. But keep your focus and keep pushing, and you will be good. Also, please don't come here and settle but have a plan to escape. There are a lot of opportunities here, but it's nowhere close to being the best place on earth, especially for people who look like us. Anyhow, I look forward to seeing new content. Travelled on the Knutsford Express from Glistening Waters Trelawney to Kingston while I was home in September did the day return journey too very comfortable really enjoyed it, it was great to be back in Jamaica I am returning in march will take it again.

I thought England was a country of opportunity for immigrants until I've been here for a number of years, then I realise no where is better than home JA , the grass is not necessarily greener on the other side, but I guess you need to have the experience to prove it, JA is a lot better than abroad in many ways trust me

Jamaica has the culture, food, beauty and location we all desire, but it lacks opportunity for most of us, especially people from the ghettoes of Kingston like me. Abroad has the opportunities, but there is a price there to pay as well, racism, isolation, horrible fruits and food etc. etc. ultimately, life is what we make it, so make it what you desire my brother!!

I want to have a vacation place in 🇯🇲 (with the possibility of moving back to 🇯🇲), but sometimes I wonder if that’s the right move. I don’t like living in America, perhaps because I experience isolation and loneliness that are depressing to the human spirit. The laws in America doesn’t encourage socialization without expecting to get a possibly sexual harassment charge. Some states (especially states with a large minority population) are more relaxed to live, but to me I feel less in bondage in 🇯🇲 than the 🇺🇸.
Notably, I am aware of the cons of living in Jamaica. The criminals, especially scammers are “nuff.”
I have an Apple desktop & iMac and both cost me a total of $5000 🇺🇸$.
According to my friends in politics, politicians hands are dirty in 🇯🇲, so I was advised to stay away from politics. I wish you great success in doing all good things. All the best.
YEP. Exactly how I feel. The loneliness & Isolation in America is truly depressing. Many ppl are lonely here, even those who live in major big cities surrounded by millions of ppl. I'm leaving too. Won't be Jamaica though😊 Will visit not live. Not now.
Where do you live? I've been to some amazing cities... Dallas TX, Austin TX, San Diego CA, Seattle WA. I grew up in Ft. Lauderdale... I joined the Army and lived in Savannah, GA (great city). I don't understand the "isolation", please explain that part. Atlanta has a ton of traffic but... The city is good culturally. "the laws in America doesn't encourage socialization? Without getting a sexual harassment? Huh...? I haven't had to deal with that. I don't understand that part.
Also look at Cleveland and Boston... Great cities... I also Googled "best places to live in America" and a lot of votes went to Raleigh North Carolina... Definitely google like I did.
@@KennyLauderdale For 24 years I live amongst majority Whites in Staten Island, New York & Gainesville, Virginia. I don’t know what it’s like to live amongst (majority) black folks, but I must add that places that have majority Blacks are more relaxed & scary to me as well. For example, when I lived at Mayport military base in Jacksonville, Florida it was a scary experience for me because the culture is more hostile compared to what I am used to back in northern Virginia (in the majority White neighborhoods that I lived). For example, I got my Florida’s license plate stolen off my car that was parked on the military base in front of my garage. I also got my cars sketched with dirty words written on them. Notably, vandalism happened to my cars only 4 days after I arrived in Jacksonville, Florida. However, for the many years I lived in northern Virginia I never experienced robbery, hostility etc.

I work with the county government & I vividly remember merely complimenting a “cock off” ears monkey looking white man’s ugly orange Halloween “shirt,” simply because he caught me staring at his shirt & I was reprimanded for sexual harassment. I was so traumatized and shocked that I quit my job to work at another location with the state government. Therefore, my point is this, not because you live in a majority black or culturally diverse environment please don’t assume that everyone has access to such opportunities in America. Many people, including myself, look at the cons of living amongst a majority black population especially if persons have children with autism or disabilities. Lots of people are so isolated and living a fake life because America encourages fake relationships otherwise known as internet relationships that have no meaning or substance. Facts are facts, America is one of the worst place to live because lots of veteran homeless people are spread out across the nation and many people are single and s6xless. I won’t even talk about mental illnesses in America, the overused of prescription drugs and alcoholism.
Notably, if your lifestyle is all you know and you don’t aim for a more natural, peaceful and spiritual lifestyle, then you won’t understand the many problems or issues in America that are affecting people’s mental health etc. Essentially, to know what’s going on in America is to stop living in a bubble and just for oneself.

For the first house the area is a decent one, never heard much complaints about it. For the second one for the first timer you might pass through an odd looking area for a minute but otherwise cool and quiet up top the hill.

No for the entire suite. So the first family suite they said hosts 4-6 so the $550 USD is the total per night including breakfast lunch and dinner

If you think America is the opertunity you will find out as a black person America Canada Australia New Zealand and Europe isn't easy these countries Carry alot of racism and law enforcement in these countries are not welcoming either in America you will work until you dead in England the pay isn't great especially for us black people if your mother is in real estate why don't you learn the ropes from her and make some money in Jamaica then you can get your license just like her these giant countries are a serious problem especially in the US you should visit then you will get some experience but don't just pack up and leave Jamaica altogether you may regret it soon

I’ve had several opportunities to live in the US or Canada and I’ve remained home, heck I’ve worked in the US so I understand the working culture there.
