I couldn't begin to tell you how many hours I've spent watching wood turning videos, but I will say this video distills an incredible amount of knowledge in one entertaining video. For anyone who's more of a "visual learner", just watch this video a few times. I bet you'll pick up a few interesting things with each viewing. Thanks Kerry, you're doing great work.
I really appreciate your message mate thank you so much. I too am a visual learner. Though this video might not apply to everyone when I re-watched it myself I knew that it would help others out there that learn the way we do. Thank you again for your support. Please feel free to ask me any questions at any time, and my email is in the about section on my channel. Feel free to send me a message at any time. Cheers Kezza
Thanks Keith. Really appreciate your support mate. Unfortunately I got a mono infection in my finger and I’m back on anabiotic’s but I’ll keep you all posted. Cheers mate talk to you directly
Hey Kerry, glad to see you putting together some videos. I’m sure you aren’t ready to do much turning while you are healing up. I too am getting back on the horse so to speak. And I should have done what you are doing now. Just keep going with your videos and staying in touch. I had a knee injury and surgery that kept me out of the shop for 2 months now. I’m actually doing a little work but I’m still not healed enough to go at it full time. I almost let my channel fall apart, And almost gave up do to depression. I told myself why bother. So if you feel that way , it’s natural. But don’t let it consume you. We love your channel and your work. Looking forward to you being back in the shop full time. Your fellow woodturner Darren.
This is from North Queensland. Exceptionally large trees up that way in the rainforest. Thank you for always being there in the comments Claudette. I appreciate you.
Just discovered your channel; I am a novice turner, haven't done a platter yet but you have given me motivation to do so: you do beautiful work, picked up many tips;grateful to you, thank you!...Bob from Pennsylvania,USA
Thank you for jumping on board Bob. I appreciate the support. I don’t claim to know everything but what I do know I want to pass on to help others🤝 Cheers mate. Kez
Thank you, Mandy. It's funny, but I actually listen to piano music, jazz (like Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin), and blues mainly when I'm turning. It really gets me in the groove.❤️
Thanks very much Anthony. I tend to listen to piano blues and some classical when I’m turning, so I found it quite fitting to have the piano in the background. Cheers for the support mate
Thanks so much, Rod. I always appreciate your comments, mate. I'm just going back through and re-editing older footage to give it a fresh lease on life.
I'm sure you'll be turning out incredible pieces in no time. Keep a it mate. Please shoot me an email or ask any question that you have so we can all help each other grow! Cheers, kezza
Thank you so much Robert, appreciate that. Are used Danish oil with 600 grit wet sandpaper. I then apply another two coats as normal afterwards over three days. Hope that helps. Cheers mate. Kez
Cricky Kerry YOU BLOODY RIPPER what a outstanding plate. So i was thinking about wet sanding a table what's your thoughts on that?? Keep the dream alive son. Ernie smith from brisbane Australia
I’m not too sure how that would go over a large surface area. I know that you can buy the wet sandpaper pads for your orbital. You have to work fairly quickly I guess. Let me know how you go Ernie. Cheers mate. Kezza
Good to hear that you plan on "getting back in the saddle" again Kerry. Stay strong and speedy recovery, Brutha.
Thanks very much Brother. appreciate the support mate. just taking one day at a time

Hey mate on your road to recovery are you thinking of catching up with local wood turners?
As in via zoom or Skype or something?
@KerryCorney or in person? I'm not part of a club but would like to have the option of swapping ideas, timbers, thoughts, etc....
For sure mate, are you in Brisbane?
@KerryCorney I'm in redcliffe, shall I email you through your website? I'm not great with technology
Yeah for sure, Scott. Cheers mate.
