Yet again another great video, it's all about getting out and having fun....the outdoors just boosts your mind and body. Fantastic trail as well, need to add it to my list to do it 👍👍👍👍
Great video Andy, dont worry about having one hobby priority, iam the same with about 5 different hobbies from metal detecting, watching wildlife to mountain biking. Its whatever makes you happy at certain times of your life or how you are feeling.
Super video Andy - your videos are great and the filming / production value is top notch regardless of if you are on a paddle board or a bike ;) Can’t wait to see you try hand gliding…. ;)
Andy that was a great ride and I'll be booking this ride in to get done. Well I was very surprised to hear that you have lost interest in the MTB it doesn't sound like you been negative and yep I can see where you are coming from with the cleaning and maintenance of the bike or bikes but that is part of everything of any hobby when you get into it on your scale - can I add by watching your channel as seeing the great scenery that you put up and what you've done and achieved you turned my life around to where I went out and bought not just 1 but a few MTB's as I suffer from Biopolar ha ha as that would explain a few MTB's so I could get out and be part of this clean air and great scenery and now I live my weekends for it or even I get out locally for an hour in the morning before work as it clears my head and sets me up for the day and this was all through watching your content on here so it would be sad to drop this and watch you on a paddle board in our poluted dirty rivers and you end up bad through catching something from the dirty water - So Andy bare in mind I am just 1 person with mental health that has spoke out what you have done for me via your channel and I would advise anyone with Mental Health to try and get a MTB and take on some of your trails and I no they would be a different person after been out as I have tried the gym well I trained to compete in body building for years but I had goals to achieve so the gym was never enjoyment like I get out of Mountain Biking - You spoke to someone in the comments about the cleaning and the maintenance that goes with it but in the bodybuilding it was the same ie eating certain foods, training certain times not much social life and driving for something that really I wasn't going to get because I had the dedication just not the genetics so long story short everysport has the othersides when took serious. Keep up the good work and hope maybe the MTB stuff keeps coming because it has turned my life around and I bet with others. PS You did cost me thousands for these bikes HAHAHAHA BUT IT WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY - Maybe push the well-being of MTB on your channel for MENTAL HEALTH and get the word out there.
No matter what you do, you should enjoy it and not feel you are forced into to doing or enjoying it. It does not matter what it is, a walk, visit a park, go see some animals, what ever puts your mind and heart to rest is what life is about.. took me to 50 to really realise how short life is and we never know what around the corner, will we still be here in 6 months?
Sorry to hear of your love of MTB waning. I'm now 57 and had a dip at a similar age to you. I fortunatekly found a new group of mates to ride with and have been back on it since an epic Rockies adventure in 2017. I don't think I could ever live without an MTB in my life. Have tried most other outdoor adventures, but MTB and hill walking have been my staples.
Just found your channel doing some research for moving to Derbyshire. Fantastic routes you take and hope I can ride some of them in the next few weeks. I myself am a bike coach and have had the same feeling every year after I've taught for weeks on end. This year I decided I would concentrate on riding for myself and have found a new love for riding. Hope to see more mtb videos if and when you can make them. Also what's the Garmin you use?
Know what you mean mate, I've been feeling 'burned out' with mountain biking, sick of all the faffing around, driving long distances just to go for a ride, all the cleaning and maintenance...etc. Still love MTB though, just don't do it as much these days! Maybe just once or twice a month now, but been doing more hiking and kayaking instead 👍🏻
Li k for ride here.. My gamin crashed.

Hi mate and thanknyou. I use the Garmin 503 edge. It's not touchscreen but it's small I didn't want a large one on the bars.
