Yes, I suppose that the techs guys were messing around with the speed of the taping machine or maybe George Young create this weird tuning coz the songs were almost in the same key and it's help the listening not to be boring. (maybe a 50Hz/60Hz issue with gears, till this days I still try to understand the reason of that alternative diapason) Also, back in the days, tuner was very confusing machine I guess (see the guys tuning-up before the show on "let ther be rock" live performance in Paris).
I believe you offer the best guitar instructions online! Exceptional the way you show how to play songs and including the tabs! Your ACDC instructions are the best! Saw ACDC with Bon in 1977 0r 78 (can’t remember) at the Roxy Theater in Northampton PA. Still one of my favorite bands. Of course with Bon Scott!
@@KozumaHeiji I looked in the description and I thought you put him as playing it so I just deleted it haha. I could barely tell the difference from him and Angus but they both have a very unique style I'd say!
hi man your sound is really cool and so is your guitar. I like how you explain the sound and the idea you try to give. good job. if I can afford the gretsch what kind of model is it? thank you, see you soon.
Hey man, mind if I ask you how you take care of your guitars? I plan on getting a Gibson SG like yours soon and I want it to play the same way in 10 years as it would on day 1. Would be great if you could tell me what your routine is such as how often you change the strings and what products you use :)
Thanks for the tutorial! I was wondering if there's any video evidence of the chorus part being played down the neck like you show. Most other tutorials play it all on the first three frets. I prefer the way you've shown it but was just wondering how Angus or Malcolm would've actually played it. Thanks again.
Unfortunately not. At least I have not found any actual footage of them playing it. I based this on a few things - 1 it's easier to play it up there because it's right next to the hendrix chord position. 2 - if you listen to the 1976 live recording (Peel session audio only), you will hear them sliding down from the B note, into the G - IMO that only works by sliding down from the 7th fret low E, otherwise you don't have much room to do it (only two frets into the open string if you play the B on the A string). And 3 - it sounds warmer and mellower by playing it on the lower strings up the neck. If you directly compare that part to the one right after when we play the E note on the D string, that one sounds much brighter. Again, if you listen to the Peel session live recording I think it's easier to hear how mellow the first few notes are. But again, this is just my opinion and I can't prove it 100%.
@@KozumaHeiji Thank you for the information. I'll have to check out that recording. Thanks for pointing that out to me and again thanks for the tutorial.

Thanks! Here it was straight into amp (Marshall 50w 1987 copy), into Weber Mass working as load box, then line out into Focusrite Scarlett solo and SoloDallas G12M Impulse responses. Gretsch is stock. SG has SoloDallas Solo71 pickup
@@MadrasDSF have to check, but even if i did it's nothing extreme. Just a high pass filter to cut everything below 80hz and maybe a hair off the mids (700 to 1khz).
I use it when I need 'that' tone, especially when I know he used the SVDS to record the original. For instance, I didn't use it here because I was really going for that straight in pure sound. I could have used it to give the solo some extra oomph, but I liked it without it. It's a very useful tool and nothing sounds like it though. It has a permanent place in my arsenal for sure
Original recording pitch is around A=426hz if you want to play along with the record. Here I'm tuned to standard A=440hz for your convenience.

Just by listening I could barely tell any difference to be honest. Maybe I didn't pay attention to that.

I also recommend the newer G5222 series
