Nope, Pete Sagar (his touring guitarist) was playing bass for this band.
GraditudevsRevenge I'm pretty sure Mac was in this band at some point, I read it in an interview and there's a few articles pointing towards him being in this band as well. Plus I recall seeing Mac in their photos on Myspace.

I know its been four years but you can vaguely hear Mac singing in the chorus parts of the song.
