    Never have I been more grateful for a rules video. The rulebook was very scattered and a hard read.

    "For example: If you really need a horse in summer, and let's be honest, who doesn't?" This made me laugh!

    Wouldn't have set this up and learned without this video. Great game and while it isn't too complicated, it's hiding behind an intimidating rulebook.

    So glad I decided to watch this just in case we were playing incorrectly...turns out we did a few things wrong in our two plays! Thank you!

    Outstanding Rules Video Paul. I love this game and you did an excellent job. You really are the best at creating this kind of boardgaming content. Thanks.

    I just got the game, so I am going to watch this multiple times, in prep for the weekend :-)

      Thanks! I'd strongly recommend: a) sending the link to all players to get them to watch it before and/or b) putting the video on at the start of the gaming session and getting everyone to watch it. Might sound silly, but it means everyone has the correct info then and the vid is less time than it would be to teach in person anyway :)

    We just picked this up at a FLGS sale, and I've watched this 3 times to prepare to teach the game. Excellent work as always sir! Thank you.

    Just excellent, Paul. Thorough, concise, and engaging. Well done - I'm glad to have this, as the rules are a bit opaque.

    Actually really useful video. I skipped through to the parts that were unclear in the rules and everything made sense after. Thanks for the help.

    Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! ...for explaining the “multi-season” fair tiles. Confusion over that is what led me from the rule book to watch the video. Keep up the good work, Paul.

    • @GamingRulesVideos

      Yep. That part in the rulebook is probably the most confusing part. Most people I know were playing those tiles completely wrong (including me) so I wanted to focus quite a bit of time in them in the video. Glad it helped.

      Great. If everyone watches the video at the start of the game session, it should help to ensure you're playing correctly, and it's probably quicker than teaching in person :)

      Thanks for the comment. I've been teaching people how to play games for about 35 years now, so had lots of practice, and I've been doing it "professionally" for a few years too. It's really nice to hear that they are working for you. Very much appreciated.

      Rulebook will still be needed for looking up certain tiles, but I got you covered for the rest of it I think.

    Was reading this rulebook this morning and glad this posted! Thank you! Quick question if you have a White worker on your keyp, I noticed it in the top and bottom section. Is that and meaning you get both or it is your choice?

  • @frabac72

    Hi Paul. Just a quick question about laying down keeples: when you decide to lay down on your board, and there are two keeples there, can you lay them down both of them, or the only one standing, if you have already laid the first one down when you placed the second one.
    If that is the case, between placing and laying down, you can perform that action (on your player board) 4 times at most during a turn, right? Either 1, 1, 2 (if you do not lay down the first keyple when you place the second one) or 1, 2, 1, (if you did), or actually 1, 1, 1, 1 if you have time to waste.
    All correct?
    Thanks

    • @GamingRulesVideos
      @GamingRulesVideos  6 років тому +1

      That's a good question. I think the rules for laying down keyples are the same.
      So, lets say I place a keyple on a building and do the action once.
      Then, on a later turn, I place a joining keyple, I do the action once more. Or, I could join and lay down the existing one for two actions.
      Now, if have two standing keyples, I can on a future turn (when I am all out of keyples), lay down one of them to get one action, and then do that again later. Or, I can lay down both at the same time for 2 actions.
      So yeah, pretty sure that whatever the combo you use, it is a max of 4 times.

    • @richardbreese2943
      @richardbreese2943 3 роки тому +2

      You can only lay down a standing keyple.
      Play, play second and lay down first, lay down second - so yes, 4 times
