Great Video! Love how I thought to myself a couple of times when you were explaining a rule I was like but what if this happens. Then bam next line was you explaining just what would happen in that situation!
Thanks. There could be a reason for that - I spend a couple of days writing, changing, and testing the script on people to ensure it all flows as well as I can and try to present the information in a logical order. It's great to know it worked :)
Not sure I follow the question. Each season you play with one keyple colour only, and they are cleared at the end of the season. So all the keyples played in Spring are green, and then they all go into the storehouse at the end of that season.
Super video Paul. I'm really not sure about Key Flow, my favourite bit of Keyflower is the tile auction at the start of each season, so many decisions and mind games! I think I'd really miss that aspect.
Yep, I get what you mean. This doesn't have that at all, so you probably wouldn't like it as much. I think this game appeals more to the people who didn't like that aspect of Keyflower.
I’m really torn now. Keyflower is one of my favourite games and I’m not sure if I feel I should passionately defend it against this hip new upstart, or welcome it’s little brother lovingly into the fold 😅
I really enjoyed this video, I think I will possibly even prefer this to Keyflower. I especially liked the colouring in of the main picture between each section - a nice effect. How long would you anticipate a 4p or 5p game of Keyflow lasting?
Great video Paul... increased my interest in the game :) Do you know if those are the final components? Not a fan of the size of the cards and the wood resources are a different color than the wood on the cards, see for example 9:45, I thought you were using a wrong resource to do the upgrade because they are very very different in color Another Question, at 17:07 if you use the card for the keypel will it be worth 2 keypels /the ones on the middle of the card) or 1 keypel (the one on the bottom of the card, meaning each card is worth 1 keypel every time)? Thank you
The cards are a bit of an odd size yes. MayDay do a sleeve, but it is quite hard to get hold of. The game has not been produced yet, so all the wooden components were from other games, and the printing of the cards was done locally, so colours are likely to be different from final.
Thanks Paul for covering Key Flow. Unfortunately it won't be for me. 75% of plays are two players only, and with the seemingly fiddly 2 player rules combined with the drafting mechanism (tends to be less than ideal with low player counts), I must pass. But the game still looks like a really nice variation on keyflower.
I've not played it 2-player, but I don't think it is that bad, you just can't use half of their buildings, which seems needed for 2-player games, otherwise left and right arrows are the same. But I get ya, drafting games are generally better with more IMO
Somwhow I always end up with paul grogan videos, and enjoy them without fail. Can't explain it whatsoever.. Some game points: there is NO reason for such tiny numbers. Must be made bigger. Much bigger. The box is ridiculous. Must be made smaller. Much smaller. 5:00 what on earth is the use of a stone in a cow? this left/right/not yourself playing is making me dizzy. Thanks for making the video, I know now to avoid this. YMMV.
Thanks for the rules breakdown. However, I already own Keyflower (and its expansions) and this game seems to duplicate 90% of that game. So it's a pass for me.
Honestly I don't see the point of this game. It tries way too hard to "emulate" Keyflower. It has too many fiddly rules and concepts to be its streamlined brother (the rule with simultaneous card play is really weird). If you make a card game out of something, either make it MUCH simpler and approachable or make it small and compact. After seeing the rules this game achievies neither of the above, so I don't see any reason why anyone would pick this over keyflower.
Having played it at Spiel I don't agree at all. I never felt that it's fiddly and the simultaneous play rules are straightforward and natural. No one was confused with it. Doesn't mean you can't dislike it, but fiddly and weird rules don't seem to describe it at all.
This is a game as beforementioned for those who didn't like the auctions in keyflower, and want less of that feeling of taking something away from an opponent directly rather than indirectly.
This does look too good. Not a fan of being spoon fed certain cards at certain points and the monotonous scripted voice help to make this look very dry.
Love the expression when you check your starting hand
Trained at the best school of drama :)
I really like how this video is done- it's certainly put the game onto my 'interest' pile
This seems amazingly straightforward. The video has definitely peaked my interest. Nicely done.
Thanks Tracy
Well done. Love me some Keyflower, didn’t think I needed Keyflow. After another amazing video from Paul, I think we’re going to have to get this one.
Thanks. It will be an interesting one for sure. Some will prefer Keyflower and stick with that. Others will like this one more.
I didn't realise it was a drafting game until I saw this video! Now I'm really interested :D
Thank you for this detailed and clear rules explanation :)
Thank you for the latest rules video. It's looking great. I quite like the game as well. I'll have to investigate...

Well done Paul. Thanks for the video
Thanks for another great video. Keyflower is an amazing game, and I am really looking forward to try out this drafting version of it :) Great job!
Great video, Paul.
Another superb video, love Keyflower so need check this out.
Very clear explanation ! Thanks Paul ^^
Will play it for the first time this evening. Let you know how it went. Love the video.
Fantastic video, thanks so much!
Thanks for the video Paul, much appreciated. I think these cards are going to be a nightmare to sleeve!
They are an odd side for sure. I think Tribune size (hard to get hold of sleeves)
An intriguing mix with accents of 7 Wonders and Carcassonne.
Thanks for this explanation video (and special thanks for the crystal clear English ^^)
Great video as always Paul! You are lookin well 😀
Thanks, I'm good at pretending everything is ok and keeping things professional :)
@@GamingRulesVideos You'll get there Paul 🤗
You do such great work
Thanks Michelle!
Great video as usual! Also is it just me or does anyone else love the way "Buildings" is spelt at 08:00?
You just gave me a panic attack. I thought it was wrong and I'd uploaded the wrong version! :)
Haha sorry about that ;)
looks so good.
This is great, thank you!
Great video as usual, definitely not a game for me though. So glad you did this and saved me from buying it! Cheers!
happy to have helped you make that decision.
LOL Paul's face at 2:32
As usual 🔝 video...i for sure will try this at essen
Good stuff. I may not have noticed, but did you mention anything about the keyple colours having to match?
Not sure I follow the question. Each season you play with one keyple colour only, and they are cleared at the end of the season. So all the keyples played in Spring are green, and then they all go into the storehouse at the end of that season.

lol. let me know what you decide to do.
It's OK to love both!
I have both, but in your opinion, Keyflow's faster than keyfower?@@GamingRulesVideos
Gabriel Ferreira Key Flow takes less time to play than Keyflower. That’s not just my opinion, it’s reality :)
Great job all I'm hoping this one gets to America fast I want it now :-)
I heard that R&R were bringing this one over, but don't quote me on that.
I really enjoyed this video, I think I will possibly even prefer this to Keyflower. I especially liked the colouring in of the main picture between each section - a nice effect. How long would you anticipate a 4p or 5p game of Keyflow lasting?
it's simultaneous play, so the playtime shouldn't change much for the number of players. I reckon its a 45 min game when you know what you are doing.
As a playtester I can confirm that it's *much* quicker than Keyflower. And it's really a different game play experience too.
Great video Paul... increased my interest in the game :)

For your other question, the card is worth the 2 printed on it in the middle, not the one at the bottom. Good question though.
glad to hear it :)
You missed the chance for an obscure Beatles reference - Surely the Quarryman should be John?
good point.

5:00 what on earth is the use of a stone in a cow?
this left/right/not yourself playing is making me dizzy.
Thanks for making the video, I know now to avoid this.
YMMV.
I'm glad you enjoyed the video. The stone I place at 5:06 can then be transported to another card and used to upgrade.
Thanks for the rules breakdown. However, I already own Keyflower (and its expansions) and this game seems to duplicate 90% of that game. So it's a pass for me.

I have to agree wayyy to close to Keyflower, just get Keyflower now and start enjoying the game.

Interesting, but I am pretty sure I'd rather just play Keyflower over this.
Indeed. I'm sure a number of people are the same, especially if you love the bidding part :)
This does look too good. Not a fan of being spoon fed certain cards at certain points and the monotonous scripted voice help to make this look very dry.
Sorry my voice sounded monotonous.
