@EnjoyFirefighting You sir must work in heaven! :) lol my city has seven stations with different aparatus in each one. Station 1 has rescue 1, engine 1, and the ladder. Station 2 has two engines, station 3 has rescue 2, an engine, and the hazmat unit, and so on. I only live in a town of 55,000 so we dont get too many toys lol but we recently got 2 brand new rescue trucks. Beautiful.
@rock4334 Well ,this community is not frequented with tornadic activity.So the only indicator would be any surviving sirens in the area sounding longer than usual.
@TheJNix22 well that's a big difference between the US and Germany: In the US there are many smaller stations around the city, here are quite few but big stations. That big station in my city is the only full-time station, and in case of bigger call they get supported by the volunteer FD (4 departments with 11 stations, normally with (Rescue-) Engine and group carrier), and also the three factory FD (BMW, Infineon and Continental). Last but not least there's also a fire-fighting school
@TheJNix22 quite an average size station for us :) You must know our station isn't the biggest here, but we have 4 Engines, 2 Tankers, 3 Aerial Ladders (each 100ft.), 1 Heavy Rescue, 1 Technical Rescue, 1 Water/Heights Rescue, 1 Command, 6 Chief cars, 6 transport vans and trucks, and also 3 container trucks with 14 contaienrs with all the specialized equipment (like radiation protection or frozen CO²). This year we get another new Tanker, and in 2013 2 new Rescue Engines
@Quickcall I'll have to sneak in there one day(the security room) to find out because I have no idea.That room is off limits to fmartinjr because they know I'll set that siren to blast for 10 minutes.
@@littlekuz there are pager chargers at several different locations in the building. But I'm not understanding what you're referring to, by hooked to it.
@usarmyboy8 we cover a city area of 32 sq mi / 81 km². It is the only career / full time station in the city (there are 7 small stations from the volunteer fire departments + 3 factory dire departments, but they normally don't run the average calls, just when we need support) Besides the city we sometimes respond to support Volunteer FD in the County, e.g. when they need another Aerial Ladder or an Heights Rescue Truck
There is no 3t22's in my area. But there is (1) model 2 four miles away,not sure if they use it still.I'll check out the model 2.And that Water Rescue truck used to be an ambulance,and a HazMat Squad before we got it for Water Rescue.She's been over due for replacement!
@GayBoyRunning No offense taken.The siren on the Marine Rescue truck is beat as dirt.This vehicle was a medic ambulance,a HazMat Squad,and now a Marine Rescue truck.And it's from the early 1990's. And for a volunteer fire station in the United States,thats surrounded by 6 other different companies within 1 to 3 miles away.So this is big enough for around here..,..matter of fact, too big.
i have a 2T22 and a 3T22 within I would estimate a good 10-20 miles of where I am. There used to be a screamer like 5 miles from me and idk what happened to it. Nevermind, it was a model 3 and a fire bell. I swear to god it was a screamer.
I'm a fan of the federal model 2-240 and the 3t22. Mr. Martin is there any way you could record a video of either for me? I'm also a fan of Mill Creek's Model 5. Your Water rescue ssounds like it needs replaced
I know you Have a federal signal & siren co Model STH-10. Suggest replacing the Rescue with a Seagrave. Those are som pretty durable trucks. Pierce is a good option too. I know Yorkanna In York County, Pennsylvania Has a Model 2. I had a picture of it before my computer crashed. The model 2 you're tallking about dosen't need to activate.
That is a huge fire station. It's pretty awesome looking!
@byronge14 The siren on that truck was heavily used.And it's still in service.
its a Vfirefighter siren, just in case pagers arent heard, it may be used for other things idk
Wow, that's a big fire station!
@fmartinjr Fits that truck beautifully, Keep them running strong!
All the above. I don't use my fire pager unless I'm on the road.so around the station or at home I depend and rely on the outdoor siren
@EnjoyFirefighting

Have you guys introduce a paging system like we have hear in Australia?
What kind of station alerting system is that sounding at the start of the video? Who makes it?
@rock4334 Well ,this community is not frequented with tornadic activity.So the only indicator would be any surviving sirens in the area sounding longer than usual.
@shadyryan0740 The officers wanted it in correspondence for radio transmissions
@byronge14 wtf does it sound like?
nice one frank!
OH HELL YEAH! Listen to that electronic start up at 1:37! Ahaha classic sound!

Oh I remember this week in the east coast.
@TheJNix22 quite an average size station for us :)

Question how did u guys get a pre alert in the station like that with the alarm before the dispatch is it hooked to a radio or pager ?
Our phones and iPads with several different CAD apps
Do u have an amplified minitor charger hooked to it in the station ?
@@littlekuz there are pager chargers at several different locations in the building. But I'm not understanding what you're referring to, by hooked to it.
@fmartinjr That would be great! ?Thanks!
@FirefighterEmt4Life That SVP is worn out!!!!
But hey,rock it till it burned out.
thats freaky! like earie when the tonrnado siren is sounding
Holy crap thats a gigantic station!! hahaha I wanna check it out :)

@fmartinjr set it for hi-lo too...
@oxlab We have it all
@shadyryan0740 On the back roof.Why'd you take your comment down boy!?

@joemagliari It's a good feeling ain't it.Especially on a humid low cloud ceiling day.
I know every place is different but that flood siren sounds so much like an air raid siren. I know in Oklahoma we use klaxon sirens.
It's not a flood siren it's to signal the volunteers to get to the station and listen to your pager
Oklahoma uses Whelens. And this siren in the video's a fire siren.
Y did EMS tow the boat....?
What is the in station buzzer alert, and how do you guys have it hooked up?
@GayBoyRunning No offense taken.The siren on the Marine Rescue truck is beat as dirt.This vehicle was a medic ambulance,a HazMat Squad,and now a Marine Rescue truck.And it's from the early 1990's.

@fmartinjr yes , is freaky
That siren on the station is just plain creepy.

damn big station
I thought I saw a set of water ski's on that boat..lol...
well very important that is saved
quick question. how does the community know the difference from a house siren and a tornado warning
Nice diaphone's! The STH-10B (?) sounds sick. :(
She ain't getting the appropriate juice.
fmartinjr thanks!
Not to burst your bubble, but I think those are just horns inside the station. You can hear the 60 hz buzz tone.
I agree with flyover it’s just the stations tones
