When the window pops up dude that gives you all those knobs to fool with take that knob in the middle slight off to the right I think its labeled like time mule or something like that and fool with it. I found by doing that I could get that southern hardcore rapid tick noise I hear in all those rap beats and you can do it to anything too I just really like doing it to the hi hat. Try it out and have fun!

Make a chord progression and melody.
Sample yourself.
Chop it in fruity slicer.
Add Halftime, flangus, effectrix, etc…

Another way so find specific samples is type the artist name that you want it to sound like mf doom ,50 cent, Nas,bigge followed by type samples
