- Completing a full circuit and Flapless Approach during my PPL Training with Tayside Aviation here in Scotland.
A huge moment for any student pilot flying the aircraft alone. This was my 2nd ever solo flight.
This 1 hour circuit lesson included my choice of Standard, Flapless and Glide approaches at the wonderfully quiet, yet windy, Fife Airport.
We practice over and over again the act of setting up the aircraft for approach and landing. As soon as the wheels touch the ground, full power is applied and we go again!
Hope you enjoy and thanks for watching

These videos are world class. Helpful, informative and brilliant fun!
Nice🔥🔥🔥
Nice landing! Especially with the strong cross winds
nice job, I got sent to fife from dundee on land aways and it's quite a challenge with a strong wind! You must have passed your skills test a week or two before me :)
I passed 23rd October - only managed a few flights since the weather has been dreadful this winter. How was your test? Been anywhere nice since? I did my first visit to Perth the other day which was fun landing on a grass runway for the first time!
Ah, I was early December! The weather system around Dundee is pretty weird I found, could go from 200m vis to blue skies and cavok in the space of a few hours ha! My test was good, flew with a Loganair pilot who made it really enjoyable and not feel like a test which was great! Haven't ventured to Perth yet but I flew down to Prestwick during my training and also diverted into Cumbernauld on my solo QCC due to weather :) If you get the chance you should try Prestwick and fly the return leg along the Clyde and over Loch Lomond. The views are fantastic!
Will keep in mind thanks! Keen to visit Oban in the summer so may fly through Loch Lomond then - try and make the most of our 2 week Summer here in Scotland. Congrats again on your test
I did my first flapless approach today. I'm no expert but your profile on final looked low. Was that the case or the camera giving that impression?
Perfect
Good job, but wasn't that a rather low approach?
Thanks and perhaps a little. Flapless approaches tend to be a much flatter approach though.
Very nice
Thank you - fellow ppl holder??
Yeah at got a first time pass for the skills test in this week
