This printer is a total piece; I own it. I wish I had sprung for the biggest, most expensive printer. I need to be able to shrink, etc., and this does nothing but copy and print (when it's working). You get what you pay for.
Great set up. I like the feature where I could go back and review a section at my own speed. My blood pressure when down and my heart is not racing anymore. You did good. Thank you for being available.

I keep using the HP smart app to set my Envy 6455 in sleep mode but it doesn't seem to work. I still have the blue glow and wifi light on. The setting says it set but ???? Any thoughts?? Thanks!
I bought this printer a couple days ago, and already spent hours tried to set up. Aparently, I made a mistake during set up the printer, and now I don't know what I did wrong. Used virtual support and also chatted with HP staff, and customers can't talk directly with HP support staff. The guy chatted with me seemed he didn't know much about the printer, and I stopped wasting of my time. There's no screen on computer, so people can't know immediately why printer is not working. I have to return store within 14 days for refund. I will get the simplest printer without all fancy functions. Compare to ordinary simple printers, this is too time consuming and complicated if you fail to set up printer once. Absolutely, nothing with this video, but I don't recommend for people who don't have patient or time.

HP Envy line of printers DO NOT work with Chromebooks, especially HP Chromebooks. I returned my 6055 and went with Epson Workforce Pro 3820. Works great.

QUESTION: Can I just bypass all this wireless & phone app stuff and simply use this printer with just the USB into my desktop? If so, how do I then operate/control the printer? I'd had an HP PhotoSmart printer for years, also forgoing its wireless capability then. It had a touch-sensitive visual display.....all functions were easy to locate. It was simple to run but it died. If I can just use USB, will I control this ENVY Pro from my desktop, plus some use of the "light show" buttons on the printer? In the initial setup then, CAN I bypass the wireless & phone app setup stuff? I want to tell it to just use USB in to my desktop....is this possible?

I just bought this one because my old HP just stopped working.. the Driver Unavailable.. anyway HP Tech.. yeah right another story.. bought this because of price was reasonable..and wireless.. came here for reviews but just nervous.. hooking it up tonight.. I did find / see that you have to replace all the ink cartridges when one goes out.. meaning you can’t just turn off the one not working.. but for my Cricut needs we’ll see.
Buyer beware of this printer! I've had to uninstall/reinstall so many times to get it to work because troubleshooter won't work. I've tried to print just one page and it'll show in progress for a day and never do a thing. Hardly use it and it acts this way.
I cannot get this machine to scan! there is no way to connect, My cell phone is not compatible with HP SMART app, and frankly I think that is lame. I see there is a port for a usb connection, have you tried that out? It is not a conventional USB, one of those polygon types. will that give me a direct access to my computer so I can skirt the "smart" app?
FYI - If the computer is connected to a router via wired and a person is using a VPN, the HP Envy Pro 6455 will show "offline". This is happening on my two computers that are wired to my router. If someone knows of work-a-round, please post.
@@geekazine Which made zero sense. I AM a graphic designer and common sense should tell you that duplicating a copy will be degraded. You are testing the printers capability to print 10 consecutive quality copies and speed.

Can you see it in the app? If so, you can reset there. If you cannot, I would contact @HP and see if it needs to be replaced

You took off the tape on the cartridge, right? Otherwise, I would check with HP.

You should NOT place a copy to make a copy. Just put the initial print and hit 10 copies.
That is true. The idea of this was more to show how the copy will change from the original. Needed to do this a few times to show the differece.
