Hey Ross, glad we were able to get together for a tour of your beautiful place. We're honoured to be in such great company on the CoD. We'll have to get those trees next time. 👍🏝🌴🍻🚜🪵
Good day Sir 👌😉👍 Ross fixe your ants problems right now since the still a little numb 👍😉👌 Yes it is very windy here too since the last two days 👌🥴 Pretty little cat 😉👌🧐 Having spares tractors 🤣🤭👍 Fun music during you PTO shaft uncertainly 🎵🤭🤣👍 I receive your Coffee cup ( incoming video soon ! ) 👍👌🧐 Great flamed inflated tire 👌👍🤭 Great Stickers from OUTSTANDING You Tube Creators 👍👌😇 Yes very windy in deed Sir 👌👍🤭 You are a strong man ( you putting tree down without chainsaws ) 💪👌🤭 Bail out time toward the WC 😉👌👍 Have a safe week Sir CHeers 🍻
Hey David! Thanks for the merch purchase! I've sent stickers as well, so they should be there soon. That tree was dead a long time, but dangerous tipped over like that. The internet needs more Kazoo music haha. Thanks very much !
You have a great looking cat. Cool merch too. Now the weather is getting warmer it is great to be outside clearing up after the winter. Great video, thanks
Thanks Joseph, we have 8 cats, some go outside, some stay indoors :) yes it does feel good being able to do something other than snowplowing :) have a good day.
Glad that you found that errant PTO shaft, I understand they can be pretty wily 🙂😄 Man, those trees were really wagging back and forth while you were chipping! Also, thanks for the shout-out and inclusion on the CoD! Have a great week!
On the pto shaft generally the shear pin side goes on the implement. The sway bar links really help on the BX. I made mine, I’m sure you could build a set yourself if you wanted too. The chopper does a great job, Wallenstein makes good equipment! Take care!
Hey Ben. Thank you. I'll be swapping the direction of the pto before next use for sure. My access to raw materials is limited to bed frames at the moment, so I'll check the cost of purchasing them. Yes very happy with the chipper. Thank you.
Thanks Keith, I have thought about it, but then I'm like.. I don't change them that often.. but really I think I should get one. Thanks for watching and commenting! Much appreciated
Thanks Chris, I think I'm hesitant because I don't want to have to keep switching attachments, I think I'll keep the chipper on in spring, and switch to backhoe in mid summer.
Ross, My PTO shaft on my chipper has the shear bolt part attached to the chipper and I also don't normally take mine off. They put a guard box around the end on the chipper so you have to have small hands to get in there and take it off or put it on. I love the Telescoping Stabilizing Kit makes it much easier to adjust and those turn buckles broke every other time I used them until I welded the joints. Factory welds were really bad. You might also want to look into PAT'S easy change for hooking up the three point implements unless you are set on a quick attach. Make sure all your implements a quick attach compatible and they have the same exact measurements.
Nice chipper! Wanted to get that one but the CFO shut that down quick. Champion chipper was the compromised. Made her watch your video so she can see what she will be missing!
Sure is an effective chipper. I've been 'toying' with thoughts of buying a chipper too for my Kioti ( 20 HP ). Time will tell,. I was also thinking of making one, ( yes, I can ) but in some serious costing thinking, I'd be money in to go buy one. Thanks for this Ross.
@@RossOnTheLand Ross have you ever watched 'Made in Poland' on You Tube ? Well that guy sure knows how t 'put stuff together, he just made a firewood chipper, PTO driven, what a project. A wood chipper like the one you have there is not that difficult either, as you said, a flywheel with cutters and some bearings etc.,... and now as I'm talking about it, Im thinking again! :)
I HAVE! That guy is great! I wish I had access to all that steel and parts. Cool things he makes. Let me know if you want any measurements from the Wallenstein BX36s chipper... You know.. for research purposes :)
@@RossOnTheLandYes Ross, I wonder and marvel too at how he seems to have no limits to the supply ( and cost ) of steel. I feel a project coming on,..... but the question looms, will I or won't I?
Great video. You should try changing some attachments on garden tractors. Hehe. 3 point much easier. Could the pins on the chipper for the lower 3 point arms be put on the inside of the chipper. Maybe easier for hook up.
I gather if you added a 3pt quick hitch the wood chipper shaft would be to short? Yup, that was a windy day. It won't be long before you will be able to smoothen out those ruts. Keep chipping, stay safe.
Thanks Paul! Ya I think you are right, I've seen a spline lengthening adapter to take up distance, but I still don't think I'd use one enough. Do you have any tree damage?
Ross: If I had the money I would have each attachment attached to it's own tractor. No more fooling around trying to attach things. My mind is saying "dream on dude". I could use a chipper here in my bush lot. Today I moved some Petawawa Nuggets from the pit to my house. Three fit in the bucket with no room to spare. Take care and stay safe. Where is the puppy?
@@RossOnTheLand Pet Nuggets are large rocks. The crushing company would crush the granite ( Petawawa Red ) and send it to Mexico and Japan. I wonder what they were paying for it? Shipped out of Cornwall I believe. I own 2.67 acres but have about 400 acres to roam on. Not my property though. About half of the lot is bush. We have moose, deer, bears and turkeys wander through. I feed the chipmunks but am still trying to figure out how to claim them on my income tax. All is good here. Take care and bring on the videos.
Hi Ross, just watched this one also. That wood chipper is one nice attachment ! A great investment for your size of property. P.S. - PLEASE film the install of your new trenching bucket ! oh and wow, in just about 3 weeks or so your channel has really gone up in subs ! Like I always say, post good content and they will come. Sorry Kevin Costner I stole your line hahaha. You'll be up to 1K very soon I'm thinking at this rate ! Good stuff Ross ! So so looking forward to that trenching attachment video. It will be a good one. It's so wet out there this year though, wow, last year at this time was indeed more dry ( the land ) I haven't even taken my tractor out for a spin for months now, my snowblower is still attached. Thanks for the videee-ohhh Ross ! 🙂
Hey! Was wondering where you were.. I've missed seeing your excellent animated vide my friend. I will be installing the trenching bucket very soon :) but agree it's been crappy weather and I haven't done much either.
@@RossOnTheLand Hi Ross, yeah sorry about that. Just haven't used the tractor in so long, and running out of things to do with the videos, there's only so many times you can animate the Kubota logo hahahaha. Hopefully I'll be back into the swing of things soon. Yeah please please do a little 2 mins on the install of that new bucket, it looks more than awesome. This guy knows how to make quality stuff. That is NOT from Amazon, you can see that from the video, he takes pride in his work. Let's hope warmer / dryer weather arrives soon. Have a good weekend Ross, an hour to do, and I see a pint in my future ! Cold, and yummy. 🙂
I wanna see those chips put in the ruts and see how that works out. I shoot sporting clays and they use the chips on there courses just put them on thick and you should be happy with the results. Take care and see you on the next one.
Hey Herb. How long do you think it takes those chips to break down? I've thought of putting chips in the low areas of my trails at least for a temp fix to some flooded areas. I would still add more fill and maybe some rock later on.
@@PaleHorseOutdoors I would say the first thing would be what species of trees you know I would think Pine would take longer to break down but a general answer I have some back on my trails has been there for like four years
Hey David, chips work well if you have an ample supply. I did no base preparation before I put the chips down. I didn't cut away the first layer of Earth or anything. I just dropped the wood chips down how they lay. So I do go back and add a bit more every season and they seem to be holding up well. I can drive 40 ft RVs on there. I can drive dump trucks down that now so it's pretty good. As for longevity, I guess time will tell, but I prefer the wood chips over paying for stone.
How's she goin'? Did you ever think of a Quick Hitch? Princess Auto have them on special this week I think for $199. I have one and it works great. Sure helps when hooking up on the 3 point. I really like your chipper. Take care!!
The BX Telescoping Stabilizing Kit from Messicks (part #K2561-38300FR at $189.00) to replace the turnbuckles really save time changing implements. So much easier to adjust! Well worth the money. I dont change implements often, backhoe is normally always on, so three point quick connect not really for my needs. Saving up for a chipper!
Hey Joseph! Thank you very much. I'm looking into them for sure. I agree that my backhoe is usually in as well. Except in spring cleanup so a quick attach isn't as appealing. Thanks for watching and commenting
Great video Ross 👍 always something to do do on the land. I hope everything came out ok🤣👍☕️💩🚽 thanks for sharing 😂👍🚜💨🍳
Bahaha! Little gift for people who stay till the end. We tried a new coffee.. and it was not good.
@@RossOnTheLand I hear the coffee ☕️ is better the second time 🤣👍
It was not fun :)
That chipper is awesome. Looks like it can chip up some pretty large sticks. Enjoyed the video too..
Hey! Thanks. It says 3.5" capacity, but it's doing more than that. Much appreciated
The chipper motors right through and works great!
I'm so impressed with it. Perfect for my needs.
Hahahaha... coffee is good to the last 💧 💩 ...great video and yes we had the wind also with snow...
That's a gift to whomever sticks around till the end! Bahaha. We got some flurries but they didn't stay. Lots of wind, but no damage. Rain tomorrow.
When you said that you blew up the tire, you really did blow up the tire
Yup! Wanted to try it as we couldn't seat the bead on the old tire. We couldn't push enough air from our compressor so why not try it :)
I agree that switching attachments is a pain lol
Yup no argument here. :)
Cart for sure is in your future
I think a cart, or just my mule and trailer.

Telescoping arms put the fun into changing implements. WAG without looking at a book the shear pin end goes on implement ?
