Good evening, also, Ross. That is not a mess. It is a project to look after in the spring. I would till it again to get a finer soil and then plant grass seed. Place straw over it and it should turn out nice. It will look like a walkway. All the best from the other end of the Valley. PS: I got rained on this afternoon and then hit with hail. I survived though.
Ya that's a good idea. I will probably grass seed it and definitely straw helped on the trench project. It rained here but no hail. I need a few more days to get everything sorted for winter. Have a great weekend.
Good Evening Ross, This is Various Very Nice Views 🧐🧐👍👍You should run a carpet over it or back dragging with your front bucker 🧐👍Be Well Ross Cheers 🍻🍻
Hey Ross, Greetings from the other side of the pond! (Australia). Just wanted to say i really enjoy your videos. Always good to see like minded hobby homesteaders getting it done. Keep up the good work!
Thank you for watching and commenting! And thank you for letting me know where you are watching from. I really enjoy taking care of my 6.5 acres, very rewarding. Have a great weekend Lewis
I would suggest "mowing" over the garden area with the Zero turn 1st, then till. The smaller the "organic" material the quicker it breaks down. Agree that bring in fill might have been a better way to go. Nice video angle!
Yes I should have definitely mowed it first then I wouldn't have had everything stuck on the tines. I think I'll need to bring in the top soil for sure. Thank you for the suggestions.
You got some great shots! You can tell you see straight. 😂Run your box blade and smooth it out. Just my 2 cents🤷🏻♂️That was awesome thanks for the video. Canadian Cuz! 😁👍🚜💨☀️
Oh for sure! Should have just added soil to the ditch.. I even have the damn roller. But I didn't think of that one. Where were you 2 weeks ago 😊 Thanks Mike.
The tiller works well. It may look a mess now but I think it will sort itself out in the spring. I know it is a log run but I think I would be thinking about installing a pipe
How's she goin'? That tiller is a fine piece of gear!! Not too sure if this was a mistake. In fact it looked like the thing to do to me. Maybe in the spring some topsoil could be added. Thanks for posting. Take 'er easy!!
Humm. I guess I could have tilted it a bit, that would probably work. And yes I have a box blade that I could have dragged over as well. Good ideas. Thank you.
You know that torch that you used a couple back, might work for clearing tines. Hose at the ready though. Run your box blade over that old drain way might clean it up. Cheers bud, loading up the mini in tomorrow's vid. Still trying to get to 500! 😢 🌴🇨🇦👍😂🪵
No, you didnt anything wrong, till it in again then go get some top soil and level it out, let it sit through the winter and hit it with a landscape rake and let the grass come back in=perfect.
I’m curious if you’ll get washout when the rains come and the sump runs. Good job though!
It hasn't washed out that far yet, and hopefully it won't :) Thank you Ed.
I have found the following process works well for tilling overgrown areas.
1. Brush hog, then wait 2 weeks
2. Disc, then wait 2 weeks
3. Till
Thank you I really should have chopped it all up first. Thank you. Have a great weekend

Thanks David. Ya maybe I should have to press it down a bit. Thanks, and have a good weekend
Hi Ross, I like that you did it AND that you will let future Ross worry about it. I say you did a good job!
Thanks Margaret, I guess Future Ross will find out in 6 months.
I think it was a good idea Ross! Sometimes you need to break eggs to make an omelet!! Best, -- J. Andre. / Old Iron Acres
Very well said. Thank you. I like eggs 😋
@@RossOnTheLand -- Hahahah. Me to... with steak!
Perfect meal! 🥩
Good Evening Ross. I wouldn't roast you. Dress it out in the spring and it will be fine. Have a good weekend. ❄
Thank you very much Bob! Appreciate the support and the advice. Have a great weekend

That rototiller does a nice job!
Thank you! I'm very happy with it, but it's now hibernating, have a good weekend
Hey Ross looks like you have a situation there. I’m jealous of that tiller. Maybe plant sunflowers all the way along. 😊
Ya I said that to Michelle 😁 we'll see what she wants to do with it. 🌻

Winter mode will be soon. Bring topsoil in next spring and do it up. 👍🏻👍🏻👋👋
Yes very soon. I think that's what I'll do. Have a good weekend.
👍🏻👋
Looks Great 👍
Nice thing about owning a tiller they are multipurpose
I have used mine for many different things
Thanks Phil. Have a good weekend
You do like to make a mess right before the snow flys😅
Haha! Absolutely! 😁 Have an awesome weekend.

Hi Mitch. I'll definitely revisit this mess next spring 🌼🌱. Have a good week ahead American Cuz
Good evening Ross
Hi Gary
It’ll settle in nice by spring time
Thank you. I hope so. Have a good rest of your weekend.
Haha. Yeah I think that 6 foot fresh till will all compact and sink. Would and roller might have been better. But… we will see! Enjoy the weekend Ross

I thought about that, and if it becomes a problem I may do just that! Another trenching series maybe 🤔 thanks Joseph

Thank you Mike. We'll definitely see what it looks like in the spring. Hope you and Nanny are doing well.
Could you tilt your tiller ( or if you have a box blade) create a swale ?
Humm. I guess I could have tilted it a bit, that would probably work. And yes I have a box blade that I could have dragged over as well. Good ideas. Thank you.

Oh! Ya I should try the torch. It's a mess. Getting close to 500!
@ slow and almost steady. Lol have a good weekend bud.
That's been my road as well. 🐢
