@@jonathantyree8172 I like the Ram version better because of the dual doors. Seems to take less room. But I get that the Honda's single door is shorter overall. If that was split in the center would be ideal.
8:20 yeah a real problem. How about you keep a cardboard box handy to toss groceries or other crap in that stats right at the back. Most ppl have some sort of cover over the bed. Works very well.
It's kinda funny that they had to make a special tailgate to gain access to the bed to grab a cooler, or the chalk blocks for your trailer, BUT if FORD hadn't made the sides of the bed so tall one could reach in and grab those items out. I'm a Ford fan and traded in my 2002 for a 2023. I could reach into the bed on the 02 but not the 23.
I am very tempted to get this new pro access tailgate when I get my new truck later in 2024. But I'm torn, b/c there are some real advantages to that pull out step. I wish you could get that pull out step from the regular F150 pickup also a part of this new pro access tailgate. That would be great. It looks like there's room, so maybe it's a structure/strength thing. As for that new modular front bumper option with the winch capability on the Tremor, is that something I can decide not to get initially, but a year or two down the road swap out the initial bumper and add this modular one with the winch, a day two sort of decision?

Please ask Ford why we can’t get the Black package with the Atlas Blue or Darkened Bronze exteriors. Customers who want those colors without ugly chrome seem to be out of luck. It may seem trivial, but when we’re dropping $80k for a truck we should be able to get any color we want with the Black package. Chrome is ugly.
1:52 "In base F150"... sorry to say that the Powerboost does not appear to be available on the base model XL trucks, unlike the 2021-2023 trucks. They want to increase production of they hybrids but they're taking them away from the cheaper trucks. They've also made the tow mirrors unavailable on the hybrid trucks as well. So much for making good use of the most powerful powertrain outside of the Raptors.
Dropping 3.3 liter is good for the customer? Not if they don't need anything more and don't want to pay for anything more. Power boost is hooked up to a travel trailer in video, yet they won't even let you get tow mirrors with a Powerboost drive train. Their "best in class" payload used to be 3300 lbs. He didn't say why they discontinued HDPP. Do like the Modular front end of the Tremor.
I agree - anything you purchase at this point has down sides; my issue, which I'm free to express is that the price for these things is ridiculously over priced, the quality is marginal at best, and the value of the technology being added to justify the pricing is questionable. So I apologize but this stuff is frustrating if you are actually looking for value, features and reliability. I support Tim's channel, and I appreciate the work he is doing - but I do think there is value in reminding the reviewers and hopefully through their influence the manufacturers that we see them and the crap they are trying to sell us .. just my .02 and don't plan to get over it.
All of these new innovations for the new F150 are great, but some of us who are now retired need something different and are looking at the maverick as an alternative to A full size truck I would love to see A video about the maverick if that is possible thank you love you videos
Yeah that would have been nice, even a 3.3 hybrid would have had a place in the market. Unfortunately that versatility is still seen as a premium or luxury item.
Everyone with their tailgate… meh unless your trailer has a very short tongue you can just drop the tailgate then use the side step from GM or Ford now to get into the bed. But wait it’s literally a grocery getter!! Lol
I drove a Ram with their fancy gate and it was damn useful. So easy to reach in for stuff. Granted, I could use a hook/stick but it was just easy with no negatives.
Still nothing that compares to the 3.0 Duramax though. They had the 3.0 Powerstroke but it's kind of a piece of junk and they discontinued it. GM always has the better powertrain options anyway.
My dad still has his 2006 Tundra with 678k mi. My brother has a 2008 Ford Triton with 125k mi. Tundra has original engine and transmission while the Ford had its engine replaced at 65k and transmission at 78k. Now the engine is acting up again on the Ford. So...what did i do?? I bought a 2020 tacoma and its a pos. Luckily i found a buyer for it and sold it after a year and 7k mi.
Great. Ford finally came up with a Tail gate and this is what they have to offer? GM wins the tail gate war hands down. Ford is little too late to the party. I also bet they marked up there prices 10k just for there “New innovation” I also like the fact that dependability is #3 on there list and not #1. That figures.. considering they are always dropping an engine and adding another every year.. what’s next 1.4 mega boost?
Good to see Tim and Andre having a good laugh.
"This is our multi-function tailgate. There are many like it... but this one is ours."
Bruuuuhhh😂😂🤣😂🤣😂😂
The price is insane for these '24s. I was just playing with the configurator. Also, that new tailgate is dumb.
Ram did it better. At least with that one, the whole width opens up.
They don't wanna admit the Ridgeline has the simplest and best variation of all these tailgates. Lol

Drop the Prices about 20k and you would actually be doing something
Look at how high the bedsides are compared to the engineer's body!
It was hilarious looking when he was retrieving his lost fruit and the bedtop was at his head.
You can finally put things like golf bags in your truck bed. You couldnt ever do that before so thats huge. Game changer.
$300,000 go-go gadget truck incoming
Whats going to be good for the customer? Lower your god damn price by 10 Grand! Ford trucks are sitting on their dealer lots 😂
Best towing capacity at 4mpgs where my 3.0 diesel can get 12mpgs towing and up to 40 cruising highway.
Fix those cam phasers yet? Dependability….
Hey, there’s a nut laying on the ground under the rear tire of your Tundra…..better check it out.

3:49 Who's gonna tell the Ford Chief Engineer about payload limiting that tow capacity?

Buy a Toyota Tundra that is actually built in America instead.
