400 should walk on the 500...yours myst be worn out or have somthing wrong with it
That 400 needs some mods. Port, pipe and clutch kit that 500 wouldn't keep up. Nice vid

The biggest reason I know of the Scrambler 500 is from the first ATV Offroad Fury game on the Playstation 2. That was my favorite bike to use in game because it was the second fastest bike in the game (it was tied with one other bike that had the exact same stats, but there was one unlockable bike that leaves the Polaris 500 in the dust), with its top speed in game at 70MPH.
They actually did a pretty good job for 2001 to model the real-world bike in-game. The in-game bike looks really close to what you have here, even taking technology in account. (I do want to mention that the game does feature some other bikes from Kawasaki, Yamaha, and Honda appearing under license, as well as some fictitious bikes made for the game.)
I actually want to ride a 500 in real life, maybe drag race it a couple.

Years ago I raced my brand new 2000 scrambler 400 (2stroke)against another 2002 scrambler 500 (4stroke)and the 400 walked away from the 500 . How times have changed

I’m thinking the 400 must be really tired because there’s no way I know mine lost alotttt of power once it was higher mileage
the scrambler 500's are impossible to make gains with mods. when i first put my fresh 440 big bored engine in mine the top speed difference was 20 mph and it jumped up quick

The scrambler I have now has a clutch kit, put a clutch kit in that thing and the belt grabs when the band hits, it will PULL
I had a 1999 400 sport in the early 2000's and it would smoke a 500, it had an fmf pipe, clutch kit, v force reeds, and jet kit.
The 400 has wayyyy more preformance parts there’s people that drag race them with 120hp but to be reliable you have to stay under 90
its hard when you have that power on such a fun quad to not run the shit out of it im sure 120 hp scramblers are reliable just not rode right
My brother has a scrambler 400cc 2-stroke. I did a slight mod on my daughter's blaster, it takes the scrambler 400cc 2-stroke on take off and top end. Blaster mods, hmm. I am at the limits of pump gas, I also bought and installed a 34mm carb, it's ported and polished High compression piston, went a tooth taller up front.

My 400 when it was stock always beat the 500 in the long end. 500 always pulled on launch. Well $2000 grand later into the 400 and my 500 doesn't even hold a slim chance against it. 400 is rabid. One bad move and it will hurt you
my dads 500 was a garage queen with very low miles when my scrambler had its old engine they'd stay even until 50 mph then the 400 starts to run

You have got to get a pipe aeen makes a pipe that will make it scream

400 is 38 500 is 32 I believe

There might be something wrong with your 400. There is no way a 500 smoked you like that. Not sure what is done to my 400 but that 500 would get smoked no dought. My polaris 400 would even smoke my 400ex, atleast from riding both I think the polaris is faster
