When I was a kid we would go tubing down the river. We'd launch right across the street from the Windmill tavern. Which is a private beach now for the local residents.We would stop at Hospital Hole which was a huge tree we'd dive off of(till somebody got hurt, they cut it down) spend the afternoon swinging and jumping out the tree. And get out at Rogers Park it would take a couple cases of beer and about 6 or 7 hrs.I loved it there.Every year they have a Christmas parade on the river so cool,.
