@@punman5392 i considered a Bassman 10 for a long time. Sounds good and has really nice breakup. I actually first came to this video to see how they improved the Bassman in modern times. I'm not disappointed.
My first bass amp was a '71 super bassman...I still have it...100 watts all tube just like these...these new ones have more features, but given the questionable build quality of modern fenders, I dunno if they'll last 50+ years before winding up in a landfill
Thanks for the video! The amp sounds amazing! It produces "the sound" I was looking for! It's going to be a long time 'till I'll be able to even consider buying it, but I appreciate the demo anyways. Nice playing by the way! Have a good day :)
I really love the Bassman 800 passive tone stack, but couldn't deal with the extraneous noise that constantly comes from the head and isn't covered up by playing. I guess it's fan noise, but doesn't sound like other fans I've heard on amps. Does the 100T make the same sound?
Awesome isnt even close! Ive owned BK Butler, SWR, Orange, and Marshall bass rigs. None of them, not one, compares to the Bassman. Its next level tone with warmth and clarity I havent experienced before. I sold my 500w Orange the next day after realising the Bassman was everything the Orange was pretending to be. Its only taken me 25 years to find this amp!
daverlb just picked one up myself. I'm pairing it with a Bassman 610 and it is the best bass tone I've ever had and I've had an SVT that I loved, but this thing just sounds like a bass guitar should. Big, beefy, round articulate notes to swim in on stage.
So what does 100watt tube head equal in solid state as far as bass goes ? I noticed this amp and the Ampeg come in 100 watts and it's like $1,200 bucks (Ampeg)
Someone asked about a year ago "if 100 watts was enough?" I'm sure the 300 watt Bassman will blow your ears out but how does a 100 watt Bassman tube amp compare to a Hartke 7000 if you were only using a single Hartke 4.5 4x10 cabinet at 8 ohm. How hard would the Fender have to work to give the same'ish pressure levels that the the Hartke 7000 would be pushing the 4.5? I'm curious how hard the Fender has to work in order to push itself to its 100 watt capacity. Tube amps have a natural ability to have lots of extra headroom in quick bursts so it may actually hit 100-300 watts when it reaches into that available headroom. Ok, so I rambled a lot there. Who , if anyone, has one and can proclaim that the Bassman 100 is as strong and loud as something around 260 watts at 8 ohm without needing the master volume at 7-10 in order to push enough sound for a small venue? I'm already sold on the Bassman 100 and its bigger brother. I just need some facts from owners.
Fender bass amps sound amazing but man are they garbage. Went through 3 Bassman 100t’s being replaced under warranty before giving up and buying the Bassman 800 hybrid. The auto bias system keeps breaking and their certified repair people haven’t got a clue how to fix. And now the 800 is giving issues after 14 months. The guy mentioned that it weighs 14 pounds. That means it’s basically a computer and I can expect it to be there a while as he deals with fender over how to fix it. They sound great. But no more chances. Moving on to another brand.
being a electronics student and a bass player that automatic biasing is quite intriguing!
At last a Bassman for Bass players! thats novel!
I wish I could afford one. Love the tube tone.
Ditto!
that is just the best ton amp I heard in years!
Check out the fender bassman 10. It's a fender bassman from the 70's/80's that actually sounds not bad bc they finally put it in a closed back cab

Nice beautiful tone, I like the Fender Bassman amps that was one of my very first amp that I had when I first started playing.

Great demo! I wish other musical products demos world like this! Thanks again!

thanks for the great review.....i'm sold on this rig!
0:30 Is that "Opeth - Nectar"??? :O
Which one Dobson prefer 100T or 300?
How do you like the superbassman with a 115 or two of them compared to 410 or 610?
All tube autobias, fine , have adjusted a few, and so on
Nice !!! How was the amplifier recorded? What microphone did you use to pick up the amplifier sound?
DI :)
I like a lot
is thing loud enough for mid sized venue rock gigs? I play in a LOUD rock band.

silent mode! after the power! WOW You had my curiosity. But now you have my attention.
Does this amp have a circuit similar to the original blackface Bassman ?

lol nice!
Any odd issues with any of the tubes since you've had it?
Nice vibrato on that bass.
Very cool amp! What is the title of the song you start playing at 0:55 ?
I play in a band with a really really loud guitarist, will the Bassman 100T be loud enough?
Nah, you would need a 300-watt Super Bassman. It's all-tube like the 100T. The Super Bassman carries a price tag of $1,799.
I want!
nice demo me likey
how much? where i can buy one of this amp?
What country are they made in?
For recording, you can't hear the difference between those big expensive tube heads and a little $200 SansAmp tube emulator pedal.
I bet a guitar sounds great through this...Guitarist have used Fender bass amps for guitar for ages...
Is 100w enough?
Not for loud rock.
how much?
pleeaase make a 200 watt version of this beast!!!!!
Does this same amp come as a combo model?
Is it the famous amp that can't be repaired if some components break down ?
Yes. I have been through 3 of them replaced under warranty because their shops can’t fix.
Sounds like a bass going through a guitar amp

SuperBassman, nevermind
something in between like 150-200 watts would also sell.
You cant beat DIno from Ampeg
He doesn't even look like him lmao
Ни эти струны, ни слэп, на этом усилке не звучат имхо. Где лампа? Где мощь, мясо?
