Damn, those Turaga builds looks pretty great^^ I'll have to try them out and maybe experiment a bit to make each of them slightly unique. I've also always loved the robes and I'm surprised Lego never released, or even though of making movie version of Turaga sets. All they had to do was to release again old sets with custom printed cloth to make fans happy^^
these are some amazing mocs! they look so good, and have around the same size as the original turaga of 2001, while still having some posability! they remind me of the turaga revamps that bobthedoctor27 made. and that's a compliment!
@@TammyCalamity I actually think that the dume you made and the dume that BtD27 made are actually pretty distinct! they are both amazing builds, and now I know what video to come to when i think of making a turaga build!
I always wished they made an upgraded Turaga build, like they had for the Matoran in 03, namely for the Dume set, this looks super good. I made Nokama with dark blue hands and feet to match her Toa form, and I think it looks really cool, I might try making the rest at some point, or see if I can give her a black torso and medium blue limbs like her 01 set Update, I’ve since seen the color schemes for all but Vakama, and so far they all work with this general palette; the limbs are Bohrok limbs in their Turaga colors, the hands and torso are black, and the hips, shoulders, and feet are their Toa colors. Whenua looks pretty much the same as Tammy’s though, no Bohrok limbs or color changes necessary, but I will say that the mata-colored heads are weird with this color scheme on everyone but Whenua, so I went with dark gray heads with their Toa eye colors. Maybe at some point I can make them some custom cloth pieces to fit over their bodies to look more like the movie forms, but for now they look super good.
Love these designs, definitely feel like a proper adaptation of the original models. I've used these myself and even modified them to really look like the originals. Which (personally) overall gives an interesting aesthetic, especially with the new build and is quite easy if you have the parts.
The slight alterations I made to them (cuz I can't help myself) Vakama - replace the axle 3 on the neck with a axle 4 Nokama - 2 modified ball joint angled with 2 liftarm thin (1x2) connecting them, for the arms Matau - angled the head forward with a bush 1/2 (to keep the distance) Onewa - the same as Nokama but for the legs Nuju - just replace the preexisting limbs with Bohrok limbs (also made his body like the others, personally I just think it works better) Whenua - didn't change anything his build was practically spot on accurate And for all of them I replaced the colouring of the perpendicular double split to black (barring Whenua cuz he doesn't have that section). Also added an axle and pin connector #1 to the ends of the staffs (in their respective colours) just to make them longer, and it just looks fitting for the revamps Edit: these modifications are just to give the revamps the weird body distortions the originals had

I think this is the right time to bring it up- When Toa fulfill Their destinys, They turn into a Turaga. Matoro also did fulfill His destiny. So what if, Matoro became a Turaga in the place He is now?
They can become Turaga if they survive their Destiny. Matoro is gone, but his sacrifice means his energy lives on in Mata Nui and all of the inhabitants he saved.
While I love the design, I would add more black to the torso because the original sets have sort of a robe thing, and without it they look kinda... *...naked*
That was my first approach (the movies seemed to be based on that design), but the Krana-holder looked weird without a robe. I'll keep looking at it, though!
I'm working on a design for a council of turaga myself. Main issue I'm having, though, is that I want to use cloth pieces to cover the technic involved in a bonking play feature. But all of lego's cloth pieces seem to be meant either for minifigures or larger figures
There are recreated versions of each of the masks that appeared in the films on thingiverse if you want to go the extra mile to get resin prints of them. Just for that authentic movie recreation feel. Also helps them and the toa stand out from the matoran with similar masks.

The Hau is the mask of shielding, so the Noble Hau is just a weaker version of that.
Try making onewa's legs and nokama's arms longer
Onewa can be made taller by angling the hips down. Nokama's arms were always freaky!
