I make epoxy coasters. Sometimes work with wood as well. Just scrolling through looking for ideas. I actually just poured a set of coffee bean coasters and the beans seem to want to float to the top. Hopefully I didn’t fill them too much and I can go back and add a clear top layer. I really like your coasters!! I 😊

Thanks, that didn't happen on the coasters, for some reason, but it did happen when I poured the coffee table.

Did you have problems with the beans floating to the surface in the epoxy. If so what did you do to fix it?

I did, but this was the first time I had done epoxy. They didn't stick up too much so I sanded them down and let the finish deal with it.
What you could do is pour in two stages. Do a shallow pour, let it get tacky, put the beans in, then do the second pour.

I’m in the middle of a pour now. I poured a thin layer, let that set first. Today I mixed coffee beans with epoxy and put those in the second layer. Tomorrow I will pour the final layer. That should take care of floaters

one would think you would use some forethought to avoid cutting through the beans thus exposing them on the sides making it look like shit...
