I just love the brilliance, clarity of mind and articulation of complex issues by this lady. I listenned to her during the last elections debates, unfortunately she was swept out by the UDA wave. I hope Nyeri people will give her a chance next time she vies...
What drives the cost of living up
1. Inflation
2. Lack of manufacturing incentives by government
3. Government over taxation
4. Corruption by government
5. Over dependence on imports
6. Government interference in local businesses
8. Lack of transparency and accountability.
All these can be controlled by government policies ( a transparent and accountable one) not a corrupt one.
9. Our culture is now forced into underproduction and overconsumption
All roads lead back to government. It’s the source of all the problems

She asked a good question about the cost of living and minimum wage so why not increase the wages to mitigate suffering? I think it is high time that "corrupt"politician should start thinking of Kenya as an investment and approach the implementation of laws and spending from a business perspective.If they are going to steal why not do it in a controlled environment that benefits the country and diversifies our assets. I mean first world countries do it all the time.

It is important for you to understand the lamentations is all about taxes ,we have been living in comfort zone ,for a better Kenya are the taxations we'll utilised
But we are paying taxes. Whether the government decides increasing it or not, tax has to be collected. It's our compulsory duty to do so.
Question is, Are these taxes utilized to pay our public debt or not? We play our part but the economy keeps worsening.
