And that's how we ended up in modern slavery with high standards as a country. This Jimmy guy should be awarded airplay in all radio stations everyday.
There appears to be a deliberate move by the mainstream media to gag Jimmy.
@5810 last government and the current 1 both leaders supported & funded by Hon.Jimmy to be in power. Sasa kina Mlamba.
That's why its said economics is 80% common sense with basic primary school mathematics. Thanks spice for always bringing this man
The reason why basic education is free and mandatory.
👌🏿👏🏿
There's no economics here, there is simple arithmetics
This story if true,
Most shocking financial crime in history of Kenya..
Dont forget hii mess yote tuko imeletwa na graduates Depsite having hii ujinga u must have a degree
"If the alligator comes out of the water and tells you the crocodile is sick, you better believe him"
This is why I trust Jimi on these exposes. He knows how these dirty games are played.
Shows like this should be aired in luo, kikuyu, luhya, kale, kamba, pokot etc...in every single language so every Kenyan understands
I wish every Kenyan would watch this to understand the situation we are in. Jimmy and Spice Fm great work as always 👏🏾
Unfortunately majority of them doesn't know they think we are coming out of this economic mess soon but weeh when I hear we have borrowed for the next 60 years I just feel Soo bad
true I agree how I wish also for once tuweke siasa kando
I find it weird when Kenyans expected Ruto to redeem them from the very problem he was part of it from day one. impossible.
We should share this clip to all social media platforms to make it viral.....
Just when I thought nothing in Kenya could shock me, shock on me. It is not even the amount that was stolen that shocks me, it is that the heist was not even covered up cleverly. Like just a smash-and-grab job, with evidence being left lying in plain sight, so that a guy with internet can download zip files, save them and present them on "live TV". That's shocking. Kuibiwa na madharau.
Goldenberg looks like child's play in this set up.
If it wasn't shockingly sad, it's really funny.😮😮😮😡🤬😂😂😂😢😢😢
Jimmy is always thorough, he's done his homework really well.
He is an international Broker so he's got alot of Information rem his siege during Uhunyes reign?
His company Kwacha international does it
Shocking truths..
Unfortunately we are not taking this issue seriously. We are drowning but we are still partying, and applauding, like everything is normal. The impacts are beginning to show: no exchequer releases to schools, universities, ministries etc.. We aren't seen nothing yet ... not even prayers will save us.
Because we are poor and foolish, and we think more of food than integrity and accountability.
@@benardmakori6924😂😂😂.... true
Maybe the day they will charge us for using the local roads we will start waking up
Linet Toto said the government will publish moree cash
@@ericrakamba7572 What? Seriously?
They can steal all they can but one either the actual perpetrators or their offspring will pay for their sins. I'm hopeful the next generation won't be as forgiving or should I say stupid as we are. They'll will investigate and return everything to the kenyan people.
99% of Kenyans actually don't know what happens in their country. Wanjgi talks the truth but his messages cannot resonate with the ground.
Tuambie ben githae atengeneze wimbo ndio kenyans waelewe haraka
This is the. Only guy i can listen to on matters of economics
Exactly ...not the rest who are busy blaming former regime.
Jimmy, you have blown my mind. As a matter of fact, many times over by now.
Whenever I listen to Wanjigi I get really mad and informed at the same time..... that connection between SGR heist and the Expressway laundry mart
The problem in kenya people talk or give a leak of how money is siphoned in our country. But nothing happens.. In USA, anything on TV is acted upon immediately and followed!kenyans need to go to state house and demand Ruto and Rigathi to go home and have Jimmy as the president and me as the DP if we want better kenya!
Corruption in USA is actually way worse! You have no idea
@kamaukarangatha9600 But life in USA is manageable, that is why most kenyans do everything to go even to Soudi Arabia, but u never find American demanding to immigrate to kenya. I work and live here, take my words, that corruption u know in the USA doesn't affect my daily life.Lastly, USA is 52 countries or states but with manageable lifestyle!Hope u open your inner eyes otherwise your sentiments will make no sense.
@@kamaukarangatha9600Stop burying your head in sand. Kenya's corruption situation is far worse than US when you base them on the size of the economies.
@kamaukarangatha9600 Govt in the US delivers services e.g 🚔 police services are available, security and basic things. I wouldn't make that comparison my friend
@@matts6894 Wrong!
Another classic from Jimmy…. laughing whilst dropping bombs. Amazing job…he gets my vote next time. Makes you want to cry as there is no place in this world where this would be allowed to stand.
Kind hearts, deep pockets but a starving stomach is Kenya. 21:10
Kenya went downhill and violated between 2013 and 2020 Ruto can never escape
He had his man at the treasury and Energy ministry...
He’s very part and parcel of all the ills that have happened way before he became president
*Who else would love to follow but is lost in between figures?*
Imagine someone stealing the entire budget for free secondary education, hospital funds etc etc. And they can't be held to account.
Why can't theives be held accountable?
@@jeddycherono9229by who? Those to hold them accountable are also thieves
The ones paid to hold the thieves accountable are the thieves.
Kenyans would burn their children and homes to protect them@@jeddycherono9229
@@georgeodhiambo598 Is really sad,,the way we have to push to thrive and few people are just stealing from our sweat. Listening to this i just felt like.😭😭😭
This is interesting now, thanks Jimmy for educating us, yani we dint even need a loan for SGR yet we borrowed heavily n we are repaying to goons somewhere.I beg all Kenyan's please come 2027 elect his guy as next CEO of Kenya..
Tragic! KE must demand accountability! !
How can we have the Treasury Cs and Jimmy together here and the Auditor General and we get to know the pure truth of this,So far we don't have a country rather we have parastatal for some elite families,Kenya is doomed
they can never showup
The SGR contracts with China total about 5 billion dollars. An amount that the Trade and Investment Bank could have lent to Kenya in one month like they did in 2019 February according to Jimmy Wanjigi. So why did Kenya need to bortow from China? No wonder Tanzania built their railways without external borrowing. After all Kenya paid more than the Chinese paid for 90 percent of the cost of the SGR. That means we have paid for 2 SGRs. This indeed is a damn crime scene. Warudishe pesa za Wakenya. Pap! Spice FM please bring an accountant to do the calculations simultenously and show the panel to avoid confusion.
I am amazed now, Wanjigi talking now ..the looting was done more by lying Ruto...way back 2013....(my Friend diaspora told me back then) most of the people around him are beneficiaries. Ruto buys everything including the presidential seat he is seated on....which source can he declare he acquires his monies from?
Yaani we Kenyans literally settled on a thief and his lies
@@Mo-wk3rg
Wanjigi stated these conversations early last year before elections
So sad
Absolutely.
Kenya Kwanza should camp here for basic economic lessons
We are going deep into the Kabila,DRC way
People blame Ruto but the mistake started when the Uhuruto govt was voted in...agovt headed by guys accused of killings. Then after 10 years basically voted for exactly the same
individuals pretending to have changed now. Tusilie sana..we are paying for the blood of our fellow kenyans
Our biggest problem is that very few of us are competent and efficient in their work. We have become a nation of shortcuts and get rich quick deals. It is a huge loophole and the thieves have seen it. Steal in broad daylight because nobody will ever take the time to look. Auditor general, COB, parliament...fast asleep.
No, that is only part of the problem. Our biggest problem is that only a section of the country can choose the leader. Let the people whose votes matter do as they please. I care less because I am powerless to do anything. Wacha ikue vile itakua.
Thank God for Mr Wanjigi.
A Patriot 💯🇰🇪.
May the lord guide you and bless your family 🙏🏿
We need to go to court to demand for the audit of the SGR financing
Spice FM thanks for bringing Jimmy his a game changer if only kenyans had chosen him.
There was a small company in Joint venture with china bridge... This the company that need to be investigated... Its registered offshore same thing with expressway... Investigate the company in Dubai n its owners
Kenya engineers can build a standard gauge railway without expatriates. The executive and treasury should know better.
My heart cries for Kenyans from the evil greed done to the people wolithout care or concern. May people learn from this and be wiser next elections.
This is mind-boggling and chilling. Spice FM please take the lead and organise an all-media forum {akin to The presidential debate] where Jimmy, Okiya Omutata et al can walk us { Kenyans } through the numbers. Progress this conversation. I envisage a scenario years down the line where we will be saying should have could have would have as we replay Jimmy's interviews....😡😡😡😡.
THis should be our everyday show and converstion. Jimmy thank you sharing
The question is what are we as a country doing about it??this people in leadership who is taking accountability for this mess??the government needs to be sued plus the China railway cooperation
So if China Exim bank was overpaid by $17.4B shillings why wouldn't the bank return the funds? Or was it deposited into offshore accounts of Kenyans officials?
To my understanding we owed china about 500 billion KES for the construction of the sgr. Kenya was supposed to raise 10% of that amount around 50 billion KES to kick start the project. The treasury raised 640 billion KES instead..paid the 50 billion KES and the rest of the money disappeared.Basically Kenya didn't have to borrow money from china in the first place since it could finance itself. Also 600 billion was stolen from the treasury while Kenya is still been asked to payback the 500 billion SGR loan. Yani in short Uhuruto stole 600 billion from the treasury in the guise of SGR financing.
Hiyo ndio pesa watu walikuwa wanatanga ,tanga nayo wakipewa mia mbili na mobilising
@@charlesbabu5845Jimmy has mixed things up.The project was worth $5.5 we borrowed $5b which the Exim bank remitted to the contractor on our behalf .So in our books we have paid $5.5 to the contractor.( Exim bank is not the contractors client). So our payment should be 550b and not 640 . There was an overpayment of 100b not 640b
@@charlesbabu5845treasury raised 500b from China 😂,,
offshore individual family Account.**under company** abczzz n thats that
1.2 Trillion, where was World bank & IMF on this nonsense. Uhuru & Korir are complicit in this economic malfeasance
You have nailed it
Very very very well articulated
The problem is that I believe in this guy more than the Grv and that's where the stress comes in,he sound to be tell the truth
Keep bringing Jimmy back, he has great access to information. When he comes back kindly remind him that he affirmed on the Dr King'ori show that he was very pivotal in the installation of the previous government he is so vehement about
My vote for you Sir
And the funny thing about this whole situation, we had the money to build the SGR.
Why does Githeri Media not report on this. Media houses must have legal and financial reporting. If all of this is open and visible at government documents, why is it that media is not confirming what Wanjigi is saying.
The Kenyan government is the largest client of most of Media houses in Kenya. You are not supposed bite the hand that feeds you. 😊
They have not reported on this because Investigative journalist retired with John Namu and Jicho Pevu.
Secondly and seriously our journalist are lazy and only chase baba politics and mambo ni matatu politics. They don't dig deep and try to ask the hard questions.
We are where we are because the 4th estate went to bed with the politicians of the day. As long as there is a brown envelope and the prospects of government appointment, the rest of the story does not matter.
Threats. A normal reporter touches this and s/he is quickly silenced by carrot or stick. Didn't they try silencing Jimmy himself some years ago?
We paid more than twice....from 520b to 1.12 trillion..
Wise and truthful Man God preserve this voise
This guy has brains
This is outrageous!
weeeeh!!!!!!!!!!! shocking sana i believe one day history will judge, thank you spicefm for always mean full conversation
It chilling!!! Crime Scene indeed.
Wooooiiiiiiiiiii
The only man that has sence and evidence in terms of what is happening g in Kenya 😔 hapa ndyo unaskia I secure my job bila kiburi😂
I now agree when the grand mullah was saying we have $ billionaires Cabinet ministers in Kenya. Utterly shocking 😮
Maziwa lala
Jimmy is Lighting Up Forest Fires eeeeish.Listen Wadau If What Jimmy is saying is trully Factual This Means Ile Ufala na Ugonjwa Iko Kenya ni Excess.
Even if we didn't major in Math, we can at least say Jimmy, Okiya O and COB have seen something that needs addressing. It's not even possible for COB to raise her concerns the way she did just for clout. Anyway i keep thinking Kenyans, we think we are immune to economic collapse. Maybe not today but one day with all these matters...one day
It's already here.... kenyan government is bankrupt. The only option is to steal more from kenyans pocket
Important issues raised. Granted. But I think the math is not mathing.
10% of 4.7bn$ is 470mn$, not 47mn$. But since the approx 5bn$ was 90% as claimed, then GOK was supposed to pay 555mn$.
I understand the need for accountability, but let's get the figures right as we debate these important issues.
this man should have more airplay on all redios and tv stations to help kenyans understand what has been going on ....
But Jimmy seems to know too much.
He now needs to be protected,24 hours a day.
Damn😮
The most craziest stuff I've heard from your guys! Maybe I need to relocate else where😭
The number of times i have had to say rewind selecta on this video😮
Oh my goodness 😳😳😳😳😳😳🙆🏽♀️🙆🏽♀️🙆🏽♀️🙆🏽♀️🙆🏽♀️🙆🏽♀️
is all I can say. Where are we 🇰🇪heading?
With Wanjigi I'm learning a lot of Economics. At the same time I am mad at the Kenyan government and the leaders we elected.
It's time the govt should go back to the drawing board
Retract every statement made in the name of manifesto
Apologies to Kenyans for heart breaking unfilled, broken & unrealistic promises
This guy is smart
so do we have any SGR debt?or was the 600 billion to repay the loan.otherwise if the company is the same ,express way has been repaid therefore open to all public vehicles for free.400billion remain.
@Jimmy, have you taken into account things like commitment fees, drawdown fees and interest? Not to mention perhaps letters of credit costs? All of which would be over/above amount paid to CRBC for goods and services.
Wanjigi is very clear in the maths.
His emphasis is on the inflated amount of the self raising fund from ksh47.5 billion to ksh 644 billion.
According to auditor general report the total contribution from the self raising fund is ksh 644 billion instead of ksh 47.5 billion.
Note:47.5billion is 10% of the total SGR cost which is ksh 475 billion.Thats the amount that kenya was to contribute then EXIM bank was to contribute the remainder 90%.
So his point is,according to the agreement treasury should have paid ksh 47.5 billion but they paid ksh 644 billion instead
The question to govt is why did they pay more and why was the huge extra amount not accounted.
Payments were done in installments according to stages of the project so he is referring to the total payments by the end of the project according to the financial statements.
I'm trying to understand the objective of this discussion. Yes we are enlightened. What is the solution to the mess ,❓
Apo kwa media Jimmy just hit home hard and for a minute the studio was silent. Give us real news Kenyan media.
We have very good professional economist, at the treasury, with all this analysis from S .G .R. my wonder is not one of them could have blown the whistle. Wa kenya jamani.
You guys
Now Jimii u have open my mind now Jimi how do we reduce corruption advice the government of the day
This man Jimmi..🎉
When l grow up am moving to tanzania. The fact that this is just gonna be ignored is just sad
Ok
I cry for our beloved country 😢😢😢😢
Wanjigi is talking the truth if look at like of ngilu she was buying a pan for a ksh 1000 if you look to waigiru she bought an electric wheelbarrow for ksh 100,000 I was there I didn't use it at later all this project gave in, and that why Tanzania president maghufuli he followed his project and we will have never have this president , wanjigi for President now coz I see he knows the law and fanincial
Oh my goodnessss!!!!!😢
We're doomed!!!
Shocking..
When I grow up I would like to be Jimmy wanjigi. That man is sharp and knowledgeable on matters to do with economics.
I really find his interviews very insightful.
And I wish him for the next President.
Me let me tell you! I too need to go to the very start of Jimmy's exposé and track with the revelations because wueh😢
60 years!!!!
Please always bring jimmy to articulate this issues
Waaaaah! Kweli ni system ya wagondi. Am blown away by the nassive theft by politicians
Why pick on politicians? Such thefts are facilitated and enabled by public. Let the public/state officers who appended their signatures to these documents be called upon to account.
crackssss are so huge rite Now waah
It appears, there is a kind of abracadabra going on, at treasury.
👍🏾🆗
This guy is loaded with information
He is well informed
Omg
I don't know if the government hear this and if they what step have they done with this brilliant knowledge.
Moment of silence from 29:55. We have $ Billionaires!
Bw. Wanjigi the Chinese ambassador should be called in and a refund demanded.
The truly sad bit is that this is all we will do about this, just talk.....and things will remain just the same....very "mighty keyboard woriors" we are!
What then must be the solution?
