Best of all: it fits in your backpack... and in lots of use cases, hardware synths and drum machines are totally inferior (in all senses but above all price wise). Virtual analog, modular, granular etc etc... for a fraction of the price of hardware synths. For example I can have a VERY competent and full option sample based and virtual analog drum machine for under 20 euro.... no hardware can compete. If you keep an eye on the sound creating apps, there are regularly sales going on. Have fun!
