    I tried out my friends and man is it a blast. I would have never thought that based off of first looks. Just shows, can’t judge a book off it’s cover.

      I thought the same thing! It looks a little ridiculous, but it's so much fun to ride that I didn't care.

    My wife brought me the 800 watt version and it is good.
    Plus I live in the city of New York and it works well in the Bronx hills and all 👍

    I've been contemplating the 750/1200w version, and I think your video just convinced me to go ahead and get it. Thank you for making this video 👍
    This fills the void in my collection of PEV's. I built a 5000w 76v mini bike (45mph), a 1000w 48v kick scooter (30mph), and a custom electric skateboard built from an Exway Flex (26mph). This little Caroma scooter looks like the perfect thing to take to the campgrounds to cruise around on, or down by the beach, or just to throw in my truck and use as a last mile vehicle. Way more convenient to get in and out of my truck than my other ones (apart from the skateboard).
    Plus, it's a nice base for upgrades later. I'm sure at some point I'll change the motor, controller, and battery. Fun in the meantime at a great price! Thanks for the great video!

    there is also a 1200w version available, you can see it there @3:00 too.
    the older display had speed on it but now its just battery. i cant decide between the adjustable height or fixed, but i like the looks of the fixed better, and it has an extra ramp over the rear that might help keep road splash off your legs better.
    appears it struggles a bit uphill, but at least it keeps moving, but i think i might still have to get one. cruising on the coast would be a blast, i live not far from carlsbad and it might actually make it there and back on 1 battery, maybe haha.
    thanks for the review, it was really helpful to see this scooter in action.

    I just got my girlfriend and I one. On a full charge we went exactly 26.7 miles. I weigh 170. That was with an average speed of 14.8 mph with hills. I am EXTREMELY impressed. Best money I’ve spent in a long time!

    I just got the 500 watt version and I wish I got the 750 because the motor and wheel are all one piece and I can’t find a Coroma 750 watt motor to plug and play swap in 😢😢

    Any idea on how to add a front wheel with a motor on it. Do you just have to buy a motor wheel and connect it or do you need other things? Also is there a speed limiter where you can disconnect and make the scooter go over 20mph

    which model would you suggest for a 200+ man with a long steep driveway?

    • @BikeHombre
      @BikeHombre  23 дні тому

      I think you should go with P1 with the 750w (peak 1200w) motor. It's a lot more power and with someone over 200lbs with a long steep driveway, it'll be much better.

    How tall are you, I see your knees are almost touching the bars. Can the 750 watt motor be unlocked to go faster? Does the MANUFACTURER get back to you when there's a problem?

    • @BikeHombre
      @BikeHombre  2 місяці тому +5

      @@grh7399 I’m 5’10”. My knees are close, but I think if you put detachable pegs on it then there would be more leg room. Even though it looks tight, it was comfortable; but my guess is that anyone over 6’ might start to feel cramped. I’m not sure how good the customer service is when there’s an issue; I haven’t ran into any issues with this scooter or the other Caroma scooter I have.
      Regarding unlocking the a higher top speed, I don’t think it can; but let me reach out to Caroma and find out. I’ll update this comment once they get back to me. Thank you for the questions!

      @@BikeHombreI have this scooter but mine has a different display on it than the one shown in all the product influencer reviews on screwtube.
      Unfortunately I lost my keys recently so I'm stuck using my razor ecosmart metro scooter again.
      Caroma says that you can order replacement keys via the caroma store on Amazon but my owners manual says that if you lose the keys you're effectively SOL and because the keys are required to remove the battery now I have no safe way in which to dispose of the scooter as without the keys it's now completely useless to me.

    • @michaezell4607
      @michaezell4607 Місяць тому +2

      @grh7399 the United States has placed a 20 mph maximum speed limit 9n all seated electric scooters which is more than fast enough especially on this particular model.
      I own this same scooter and it's definitely fast enough at 20 mph for my liking....any faster and odds are I'd probably crash on the darn thing.
      I see half a dozen posts on the reddit escooter page from people repeatedly asking how to defeat the built in speed limiters on their scooters when tampering with the speed limiter is not only dangerous but is illegal.

    • @michaezell4607
      @michaezell4607 Місяць тому +1

      @@BikeHombreI'm not sure that adding foot pads is a good idea on this model as the only available spot on the frame would be on the downtubes just in front of the deck which might negatively impact one's ability to balance properly especially on turns.
      What phone holder are you using in the video? I'm looking into installing one myself for use with my Samsung galaxy phone so I can download a speedometer app.
