Thank you for keeping the glow glowing! There is something so 'on the edge' about having the cox engine screaming and you know you don't have long to get it adjusted and launched- so good!
Thank you for sharing the Bounty Hunter...nice flights...I had wanted to build one back in my days of flying ..of course never did..question...what fuel are you burning and where do you purchase.
Nice video, that TD should be screaming. Mine always did. I am not sure I used a 6" propeller. It was gray that is all I remember but it pulled the plane up very fast.
Do you have 20%+ nitro in your TeeDee fuel? The way it kept going "off tune" (until the last flight in the video) reminded me of low nitro experiences of my own. Also, your venturi size issues might reflect oversized propellors. The people who recommended the larger venturis may have assumed you would be operating it at 21000 rpm or more - where the TeeDee with standard venturi develops maximum power. At 17k - 18k the airflow may be just too slow for the larger venturis. I wonder what size propellers 1/2A contest winners are using?
This is only 10% nitro, I did try 35% nitro once but had the Cox prop. The only higher nitro I can find is half synthetic. Interesting about the venturi. I am just out there flying for fun but always interested how performance could be improved.

The electric worked well but yes there was something so satisfying about getting the Cox TD working well.
That flies great!
That is what I think too. I am getting my Sunstreak dialed in for very consistent flights now too.

I am just running 10% nitro fuel from Brodak the company known for control line.

Cox makes gray props too and all APC props are gray.
@@FreeFlightDigest I cannot remember the make.
@@johnmajane3731 I think the TD gave alot of performance for the money. Newer high performance engines are really expensive.
@@FreeFlightDigest they do
