Dear Keli, I miss your videos. Just happened to have a power steering leak and I already diagnosed the culprit, it's the same hose and you did in the video... My very first search result on UA-cam was your video, I definitely saw it before, but must have been forgotten how to do it. Just ordered the hose and can't wait to replace it. Hearing your voice just got me back in time when Patrick was around... Time machine does exists. If my Patrick ever leave me... I'll get a brand new Subaru Outback, Wilderness trim! Till then I'll try to keep mine alive. Your legacy it's gold to some of us. I wish you all the best, see you on the next one, greetings from Vancouver, Daniel.
Great video! But how did you know it was that hose? I have a powersteering fluid leak and i took out the same hose you showed in the video, but I cant tell if it is that hose who is leaking. Can you explain?👍🏻
Thanks! Oh for sure it was the hose. I touched the old hose in the middle when it was still on the car and that's where it was leaking from. My hand was covered with the fluid. You could clearly see how the wheel housing liner got wet with fluid right under the middle of the hose. The leaks stopped after replacing the pressure hose. The underside of my car and the wheel housing liner are now oil free. Oil used to leak to the floor, it was that bad.
@@ThatAfricanGuy Hi again! For me it was the second hose who was leaking. (The hose going paralell with the one in your video.) Do you know the part name of that hose?
So I'm having power steering fluid leaks to on my 2006 Audi A6. When I turn the car certain directions car certain directions I can hear it make a whining noise. Also when I'm driving and turning on a curve on a local street it make the same noise and leaks. So is this cost of those issues? It leaks up front of the car on the driver side. the
@@dewaynejay1032 No big deal. The problem is caused by hoses that go bad over time. Removing the old hose clamps and installing adjustable hose clamps as shown in the video I shared above helps.
Update: I've always had some sort of leak in the power steering system. Since replacing this pressure hose, all leaks stopped!
Thank you for this video. It was very helpful to me. I love the color of your Audi! Mine is white pearl.
I appreciate the positive feedback and the kind message. This car looks great in white as well. It looks great in most bright colors. 😀
Great video. Thanks. This will help me for my car.
Thanks and good luck 👍🏾
very difficult on A6 , i have made it on my A4 B6 also. was very easy.

Dear Daniel, it is good to read from you! I am glad the video was helpful. Sorry about the troubles and good luck fixing this 👍🏾
You make this look so simple. I'm curious to know the actual time the whole thing takes. From Jack up to Jack down.
Pulling out then inserting back the hose are the most difficult parts. I would say 4 hours for somebody who knows what they are doing.
Must have videos! Keep the good work, cheers.

I do the maintenance myself so I am not sure about the cost. This is how I fixed the most common leaks: ua-cam.com/video/bTRbdQK-J9c/v-deo.html
@@ThatAfricanGuy I'm sorry I didn't mean cost I meant causing the problem.
