BLat is legitimately one of the greatest fishing instructors I've ever seen. Your channel is like BassU and I feel like I'm close to getting a BLat fishing degree 🎓
The main thing about B.Lat, I can read a man. His heart is in what he says. He had to have had a good raisin. SomeOne was whipping his ass as a kid when he was bad. Now he’s a good man, even if he was still cutting grass, he’d still be a good man. No ego, your not watching The multi millionaire SCOTT Martin. Your watching a good man who made it on his own.
Hey blat my name is Daniel Rodriguez and I have been a sub for a very long time I am commenting on this video to say thank you for making a great crank bait you might be asking why I am thanking you? I was in the kayak bass fishing national championship in texas this past week and my main bait for the derb was the mr6 and let me tell you that boy did some work out of 150 kayak anglers I finished in 11th place and cashed a check I made 4 mistakes that cost me top five but the mr6 is my go to crank bait now hands down so I want to say thank you to you and mark for being a part and having insight on the design of this crank bait hands down a work horse especially banging against the rocks I used nothing else day 1 and caught a limit day 2 I used a senko in a couple hrs in the morning then kept that bad boy in my hand the rest of the day and got my limit the 2nd day best couple days throwing a crank bait in my life!!! So thanks again and keep up the great work best of luck!!!
I started watching B-Lat’s videos a month ago. Because of Brian, I bought a Lews - team lews custom reel, and a Favorite Defender Rod. Well today I got to use that combo for the first time. Me and my cousin caught 20 Bass in about 5 hours. So thank you B-Lat. the combo is awesome, and my confidence in it is definitely strong now!!!!!!
Here's a blast from the past ! My Dad's first boat on Lake James was a Homemade Saw mill Lumber boat with a Used 5hp white Mercury motor ! And was Uptown cool with it ! But anyway !!! I Cant remember the Large Largemouth Bass he caught using a 8" " Cream" worm ! I'm Talking 6 ,,7 and 8 pounders ! I've won several small tournaments around here from him teaching me ,,,, Long Cast ,,, little or no weight ,,, Slow retrieve , Purple Paddle tail worm ! His Story was my Great grandma's house was part of the land that was Flooded when they built the lake ,,, And it took a while ,,, but when " Paper graphs " first came out ,,, and listening to the locations of her house ???? I found a Her Chimney ,,, Still standing today from the 1920's next to the Catawba river Channel in the lake ! I've drug many largemouth off that secret Chimney in the winter time with 8" Purple worms ! Anyway ! Love your kids, Hug your wife and keeping rocking B. Lat. !
Once again...you tell us "how" to do it...without the negatives.... Great video.... I get tired of OTHER CHANNELS constantly talking down to the audience like they are all rookies....
Brian, I just watched 19 lake Champlain and like many of your videos, they are great fun. We watch in the garage while we get ready to fish. Perfect Sunday! Many thanks!
Ribbon tail has been my go to this summer so far. 7in behind a 1/8 o 1/16 bullet. Cut the body in half and pitch it on a wobble head when I need finesse. North Eastern US here.
BLat I'm a new subscriber. I love you content. You can tell you are a true grass roots type fisherman. This video cracked me up because my wife and I went out this past Tuesday she normally just pan fished but this time she said she wants to consecrate on bass. Our local lake has a lot if pressure so this time of year I normally flip zoom trick worm or the zoom fluke stick. I handed my wife my box of plastic so she could pick what she wanted to throw and she pulled out the zoom ol' monster. Now you see why this video cracked me up? Keep up the good work. Oh yeah she whipped my behind.
Have a zoom ol monster tied on year around!! I flip it! Pitch! Drag it! Swim it! Even swim it on the surface!! Big girls can't stand it!! If it ain't broke dont fix it!! Great video as always b.lat!!!
I fish a lot of man made brush piles that have small bass . crappie and bluegill along with large bass . Any type of worm with appendages or curl tail , fire tails... will get grabbed by these small fish and I end up setting the hook and getting snagged in the brush . Senko style worms dont get messed with much by these runts so when I set the hook I usually stick a bass .
Man i love the way you explain into detail thank"s! I do have to say i was thinking of purchesing a new falcon 195 but there was a gentlmen i spoke with yesterday was so rude I dont think i will just by that conversation. Thanks again for all the good info.
It was the falcon manufacturer in South Carolina. I'm a black angler been doing it for late 80s here in Virginia. Just felt he was short with me and like I was bothering him. I was inquiring about a 195 and was talking about different power on the back . And that's were it got a bit rude.
Giving away my techniques here. 😂 I flip with the culprit ribbion tail worm during the hotter months. They hit it like a freight train. I’ve seen them come in from 2 kayak lengths away to hit it.
Hey that ribbon tail has been my “old reliable” for 25 years or so as has the finesse worm soooo never discard what has worked for the new fad I always say🤷♂️
I really like flipping a ball head finesse jig with a z craw Jr. And as for dock fishing, I'll use a medium diving crankbait. Most dock fish see jigs and sinkos all day. An old bill Norman deep N works wonders. (Favorite color is the old purple back shad)
The Bang stick, Hula stick, and tickler all are very similar but- I love each one individually for different techniques. I've probably caught around 90% of the bass I've landed over the last two seasons on these three baits. The tickler I ned rig, the hula I ned rig, drop shot, and mojo rig, and the bang stick I wacky rig, pitch, neko rig, Texas rig, weightless, it just works, really doesn't matter how you get it in the water just get it in their with a hook in it and they bass will do the rest. No idea what this shape resembles to them- just a stick bait with some tentacles at the end but I'm telling you, if you haven't thrown them you don't know what you're missing- especially if you're fishing spotted bass.
Thanks so much for your content. Started watching you when you did a Lake Jackson video in Tallahassee. Me being from there wonders of you ever did a Lake Talquin video and I just can't find it? Don't matter I live on Lake Roaslie two Lakes over from Kissimmee now, trying to do my dream just like you.
I still flip U-Tails- cotton candy and motor oil, dipped in JJ's. They work great when the fish are being difficult. I call it finesse flipping- a term I picked up off UA-cam but I can't remember who I heard say it. The guys at Tactical recommended the U-Tail to me a couple years ago, and it really works. If they're really finnicky the straight tail is better but, if they want a little action but still smaller baits- the U-Tail rules.
Ive had good luck with the junebug red zoom ol monster 10.5 . 20 lb fluro with 3/8 oz weight non pegged. It could be all in my head but since I changed to red hooks I get bit more.
Love the content. Curious what you use for the straight shank flipping hook for the finesse set ups? All of my flipping hooks are gaffs and I wouldnt try with 12# line.
I loved the old Mister Twister curly tail worms from the 70s and 80s when they first came out. The ones out now aren't the same. I do like that 10 inch worm though. I've had one tied on for the last month. What size hook do you prefer for the 10 inch worm?
I'm the rep for our hollowbody cicada 1.0 and 2.0 as well as our viper(mouse) 1.0 and 2.0. I've had some problems rigging the zman plastics texas/weedless
I like flipping power worms. The 7 inch and the 10. I really like flipping a ned rig though. But shit I’ve flipped a big glide bait right into a bed before and let it sink right down.
Hey B. Lat, love the content and your rt bout going old school with this approach ; Woo Dave's put out a video back in 95' on wormin' with Woo and basically goes through just bout everything you had said with style of presentation. In case you think I'm playin you lol go check it out on oldschool fishing videos channel here on UA-cam, I still fish all these ol' techniques for two reasons 1. I'm catching fish where others aren't and 2. No one else uses this approach. I'm proud of your in sight in keeping these techniques alive keep up the great work bubba and best of luck with the rest of the season on tour. And Tight lines B
Yep,I've been fishing a worm like a jig for years..And in all the same places!I jumped on that train a good while back! It's like eating eggs and bacon for breakfast..Who says ya can't "break with tradition "and eat spaghetti for breakfast?Or last night's leftovers?👍
Was fishing docks and they were on a black and blue jig, they got off of that then ate a finesse jig, then they got off that and ate the crap out of those bang stickz!
Bass fishing is the best my favourite is striped bass but bass in general are just a crazy fish too catch the way they strike is super exciting I do my own UA-cam as well except I am only 13 my goal is too engage our next generation into fishing 🎣 but your videos are better then mine your editing is just next level awesome 😎
Recently, the bass were ignoring my jig. Probably because I've shown it to them a lot and caught some big gals doing that. So I tied a Senko on my pitching stick. I cast it up on some lilies and dragged it over the edge. BAM! Got an 8lb 0oz. I've been thinking of flipping a toad.
Fishing lake Miccosukee. North florida in july and August. This lake has very little open water. Lot of pads. I watch most everybody fish with frogs. I have been fishing a black 6" trick worm. I have been tearing the bass up. I catch my limit everytime. Plus some. Have not caught anything on frogs

Compare the shape of an old school creme scoundrel and a new “finesse worm” - ain’t no difference!
Once again...you tell us "how" to do it...without the negatives....
Great video....
I get tired of OTHER CHANNELS constantly talking down to the audience like they are all rookies....
I’m always learning from your channel, and have seen you use these baits on your videos! This is why your channel is the best!
Brian, I just watched 19 lake Champlain and like many of your videos, they are great fun. We watch in the garage while we get ready to fish. Perfect Sunday! Many thanks!
Thanks for the lessons Blat...we are soo very greatfull.
Brian the word I have used with the ribbon tail worm is “unassuming”
Thx B Lat! I like to flip a Sinko and a brush hog but I like the looks of that Zman stick.
I still use a slug go and it's a 80's bait.
I caught biggest fish on a slug-go in 2017.
Bro, I love it. The amount of content you have been putting out lately has been great and full of so much information. Much love from NY!
I always wish I had an epic beard when I see Brian.
Ribbon tail has been my go to this summer so far. 7in behind a 1/8 o 1/16 bullet. Cut the body in half and pitch it on a wobble head when I need finesse. North Eastern US here.
Love the chitlens man! Crack me up! Also love your music lately

I do use the ribbon tail and still fish it shallow, but I put it on a skirt less swim jig head.
Have a zoom ol monster tied on year around!! I flip it! Pitch! Drag it! Swim it! Even swim it on the surface!! Big girls can't stand it!! If it ain't broke dont fix it!! Great video as always b.lat!!!
Killer video. You’re the man BLat. Thank you. (Glad I stuck around to the end haha)
Came for the fishing tips, stayed for the beard. Seriously, that thing is CLEAN.
Great video definitely will try that thanks B.Lat!
The old trick worm never fails
I fish a lot of man made brush piles that have small bass . crappie and bluegill along with large bass . my PUNCHING (i'm in FL) worm is the OG zoom speed worm. the ones with the paddle tail...
Giving away my techniques here. 😂 I flip with the culprit ribbion tail worm during the hotter months. They hit it like a freight train. I’ve seen them come in from 2 kayak lengths away to hit it.
Love it ,great info for the summer
Brooks is def the homie 😆😂 his cameos always steal the show lol
Great video! Gotta try those bang stix! Thanks!
B. Lat, great video. My go to is a 7 1/2 Yum Ribbontail "Junebug" color. It is my confidence bait.
Mr. B-Lat anytime you're up fishing Clarks hill, I'd love to fish with you. Love the knowledge and content.
Hey that ribbon tail has been my “old reliable” for 25 years or so as has the finesse worm soooo never discard what has worked for the new fad I always say🤷♂️
I have caught a lot of fish flipping a zoom finesse worm all year long. Great video BLat.
B lat. I almost won a club Tournament here in west virginia on that very worm a cotton candy zoom 6 inch worm just last weekend . awesome video .
I really like flipping a ball head finesse jig with a z craw Jr. And as for dock fishing, I'll use a medium diving crankbait. Most dock fish see jigs and sinkos all day. An old bill Norman deep N works wonders. (Favorite color is the old purple back shad)

Hell yeah !! Just got 3 packs of Mann's Auger tails worms. Work great at my local urban creek.
Zoom Mag finness has been my go to lately.
Good stuff I'll be back to watch more keep up the good work
Ive had good luck with the junebug red zoom ol monster 10.5 .

Ahhh ... Mister Twister! .. there's some old skoolin'
I use the Red mag worm myself on Texas rig..
Been flipping the 6" Roboworm just like you mentioned, for a couple weeks now. The traditional wacky has been happening also.
How are you casting an 1/8oz Trig ona heavy rod??
A really good reel
Do you peg your weights when you throw these set ups?
I'm the rep for our hollowbody cicada 1.0 and 2.0 as well as our viper(mouse) 1.0 and 2.0.
I've had some problems rigging the zman plastics texas/weedless
Junebug U-tail! Got them and Plum Ol Monsters in my tackle bag as we speak 👊
Dude that Berkeley worm 10 inch works great by itself I cast next to weeds that tail drives them crazy
I fish a curl tail worm all the time only problem with it is the tail sticks or wraps around sticks or lillies
Always good content!
I still catch fish on the zoom u tail worm. I caught several last week fishing it on a drop shot and they was smoking it.
see, thats why i love ya man. unorthandoxed fishing. i do the same. it works.
Started flipping a 5’ senko while back with pretty good results
Awesome video BLat
I like flipping power worms. The 7 inch and the 10. I really like flipping a ned rig though. But shit I’ve flipped a big glide bait right into a bed before and let it sink right down.
When you did the garage update i asked when you were going to do an expansion. You'll need another 20 feet by next year haha.
I flip a fluke sometimes with a 1/8 to a 3/16 weight and a 3/0 or 4/0 Texas rig with 15lb invix flouro and on a 7 3 mag mh
Love the video great info I will be using all of this
Nothing like an OG Culprit grape shad worm!!
i still have multiple bags of culprit ribbon tail worms, taquilla sunrise color....it has ALWAYS produced quality fish for me flipping
Quality content thanks God bless
What camera do you use?
The 6" U purple fire tail worm has ripped many lips for me! Hard to find anymore! Great video, appreciate you Bro!
I like flipping swim baits have good luck towards the fall time doing that.
Your not the only one, lol
No!! B lat!! Dont give up this secret!!! I been doing this for years!!!
Sometimes I will flip a smaller jig with wacky rigged worm. Sounds stupid but around brush and logs it works. Flip it in there and dead stick it.
I'm not a good pitch or flipper, but I've actually been using the giant ZMAN TRD in yoga pants. I'm also a yamamato senko fan in green pumpkin.
What’s the best bait to use for beginners bass fishing
5" Yum Dinger Watermelon / Red flake. Its the killer color on Falls Lake and Sharon Harris.
Thanks for that. Taking my son on kayaks to Shearon Harris and Jordan next weekend. We got skunked last time.
So if you’re using an 8th ounce wilhat rod you be using

I flip 5" jerk shadz in the deal, on 4/0 straight shank, 1/8 oz. tugsten flipping weigh
Red shad u-tail caught so many bass on that bait
I wish someone would've told me how addictive fishing is. I would've found a sponsor first🤣🤣🤣 #FishersAnonymous
Looking for some senko in avacado color
Swimbaits....sounds stupid but it works hopping it around brush
I believe it!

I flip 1/4 ounce jigs and 3.5 or 4in creature baits
BLat that TRD in THE Deal Color is killer.
I use custom color NED rigs
