That thing is mint and beautiful, and the best receiver / clarifier tuning on SSB I’ve only experienced on expensive HF Rigs . I have a couple and a Grant XL I just had refurbished . They’re great radios
Had 2 of them back in late 80s both had the uk fm mode and a K tone on the base station, nice to see one in that condition today nice find chap 26TG064
They just allowed us in the States' to use FM on the 11 meter band. Why Cobra discontinued such a successful model i have no clue... I for one would have purchased one. Beautiful example! 73 de KF4LBG Florida sends you best wishes!
Yes they were a brilliant set. Good news on the United States now using FM. Hopefully more sets will be produced - although the days of quality are well gone. Thanks Florida catch you down the line 🇬🇧👍
It is in absolute prestine condition in my opinion for a lightly used radio. It must have very low hours of use. Congratulations on such a great find. That will sit nicely amongst your growing CB radio collection. Thanks for sharing brother Russ.
Yes brings back many memories for me. Such a lovely radio but the 148GTL non DX American version is probably a better radio. Thanks for watching check out my other videos. 🥲
I have a Superstar FM-360, supposed to be the same thing, I'm not 100%, but it seems like it. Here is a clip of me talking to a man on sideband, it is so clear it sounds like AM. ua-cam.com/video/YP3-XUQGtDU/v-deo.html
I've fell in love with this radio when i 1st saw it and am glad to own it now.
