How nice to hear Mark again. I only "knew him via these clips but enjoyed his homely way and gentle manner.

If Fred Dibnah did through hole electronics!
I don't know how I ended up here, but I watched the whole vid, glued to the screen. :)
RIP Mark(?), sail those ions, and besmirch the solar cycle.

Aaaah! Just watched entire video (excellent) waiting to see the band switch wiring (goes from / goes too) and noooo, it's not covered. I have a wiring problem, which none of the videos on here, or anywhere, mention. On the band switch, there is a black wire (standard on PB 010AA) on connection "3". Next to it, a yellow wire, connected to an arrow mark. On my switch, someone has cut it out :( Where should this yellow wire go to??? Anyone? Note: I'm not talking about the yellow patch link on the top linking the grey and white.

Dear sir: I have the Cobra 148. I am using a cigarette lighter to wall outlet adaptor (in the US) and was trying this at home. The adapter has power with the red light indicator, but there is no power on the Cobra. I have tried switching and twisting every button, but no improvement. What could be the predicament?
