Ditto Tony! I'm 64 and have vision issues as well as hearing issues. I too live again through your videos, Christian, and hope you never stop! When I was your age I used to hike and camp and backpack too. It feels so good the watch you do what I used to do! Thanks and Love to you!
Wow at the stunning scenery and the fantastic videography! Thank You for sharing your experiences. It's a lot of work to live out of a vehicle and travel to remote places. Thank You for your efforts. Watching your videos takes me to places i would never get to visit on my own. Stay Safe, keep posting and I'll keep watching 🙏👍
Wow...such a beautiful planet when seen through your eyes. Thank you so much for the reminder and sharing how you see the world. Amazing "Cheers" Michael
Bellingham and Glacier were my home for 25 years. The state left me behind and now I call Western Montana home. I will always have my old friends and memories though. That trail out Shuksan Arm is something I did every day every Winter. It is magical any season you go.
I LOVE all your videos Christian! I'm a full-time freelance photographer based in London. And I REALLY want to go off-grid. I'm pushing now online to be able to don't rely on clients as much, get a van, and prepare it as beautifully as you did. So jealous of all those hikes you do! 😍Love your channel! Big love!
That’s awesome that you live in London, I wonder what vanlife would be like over there? I’ve always wanted to explore Cornwall and the northern regions of the UK 🍃
@@ChristianSchaffer Van life would be amazing around here. Very rainy but all green and beautiful nature! Cornwall is incredible, I've been there once to surf. Maybe one day you end up exploring the UK, who knows. :D But all the places you show in your videos are so breathtaking! They make me wanna go! Looking forward to you next videos. :)
Stunning videography, and the bloopers are a welcome addition to your video repertoire. It's nice to see the raw side of your life digressed from your beautifully edited work. Keep 'em comin!
I was so happy to see that you uploaded again, I was literally thinking just before I saw the video wondering when you would post an update, the edits made me lose the sense of time, thoroughly enjoyed seeing that spectacular scenery softly transitioning in to other the other clips. these videos are my therapy. thankyou. Love from the UK
At the age of 83 I'm not getting out very much anymore I am living vicariously through all of your videos and the other UA-cam presenters. I love you, all thank you so much.
Dearest Christian: Thank you so much for another vlog GEM full of beautiful, God created countryside. The views from your hikes are spectacular & truly stunning. I am continually in awe of your tenacious climbing of high mountain cliffs-you and friends seem to do it with ease. It makes me smile when Nathaniel joins you for an exploration; you already know I’m a big fan of “Mr. Cool, Calm & Laid Back.”😊 Keep soaring to new heights and basking in the beautiful landscapes you uncover. I LOVE it and I am more than happy to (virtually) join you and your friends. While watching your walks, I feel as though I am right there with the group. Thanks, again! Take good care. Sending you Sisterfriend love & hugs.💝🤗
There's nothing like "being" there, the vastness of the landscape, smells riding atop the crisp clean air...it's a beautiful thing. Congrats on living your life on your terms. Not many people are truly free. Thank You for this video.
I agree, it's about presenting what you see in front of you in an artistic way. I mean I'm no pro, but there are UA-camrs out there that just push record no edits and upload and still get thousands and thousands of subscribers, but to me it's all about the creating of the content the story telling. This is why when I edit my videos! I try to portray the story that suits best of the situation (footage) that I am putting out in top the world.
Gorgeous and beautiful as always with all your backpacking trips. I didn’t know that there are still lots of wildflowers in the Mount Baker area - so nice!
We were the very fortunate other group on this hike. Thank you for sharing the magic! And for echoing the dread of those last couple knobs/wayfinding challenges! Happy travels to you. ♥️
No way!! So sorry I missed your comment until now. It was great meeting you all - that was such a beautiful hike. And yeah those knobs were a real workout 😅
Another great video Christian. You are truly blessed to have a group of friends that love to do the type of camping and exploring as you do. A little mind blowing that after that very physical hike in, you have neighbors. Love the food, fun and that someone carried the wine. The photography is at times surreal. Thank you so much for taking the time to include us.
What a stunning place with all those wild flowers, forests and lakes, just so beautiful. The views go on for miles and miles as well. I'd happily spend weeks/months out there just exploring and enjoying it all. Thanks for taking us along Christian 😊

My favorite video of yours. I know these mountains very well and recognize all your camping spots. Be careful in September because it's blueberry season, so lots of bears everywhere.

Sept’s always a favorite time for hiking, in fact we just returned from the Sierra! But with the change of seasons comes new opportunities to venture out to the desert and enjoy camping & astrophotography in dark skies. Love your videos keep ‘em coming!
