Really love the effort and passion you guys put into your videos. Drone, go pro, tri pod shots. You put a lot of hard work into the videos. And I can feel your love for what you do!
love it. heading to mt. Baker at the end of February to snowboard with some friends and looking to do some hiking as well. this might by a good choice. thanks
How cool! I camped in Winchester this summer (while the shutters where still up) and it was amazing! That was before I had started posting videos, but my first video on here is of another lookout! They're true gems of WA
Ahh yes, my backyard. I am blessed to live right there for sure. Great video! FYI Flying drones in Wilderness areas is illegal and very expensive when they catch up to you. I know the Chief Wilderness Ranger for the that area and they will ticket you. Also the FAA is starting to crack down on YT creators, as they are considered "Compensated". Some folk have received huge fines. Otherwise great video. Glad you had great weather!
You are SO lucky to live in such a beautiful place.. we loved our time in Washington, it seems like there are endless hiking opportunities there! Thanks for the info on the drone! We definitely knew that it's a big no no to fly the drone in the National Parks... we were still learning about some of the restrictions within the wilderness areas though. We certainly try our best to follow the rules. Thanks for letting us know!!
@@WaypointofView no problem. I am currently working on my commercial drone pilots license. This will keep the FAA off my back when I post drone footage. Its getting more and more restrictive these days with more people flying.
The movie Dear Hunter was filmed in that same location 20 steps from the parking lot, also the ski area just north of Mt Shuksan in 1998-99 set the world record snow depth in one season at 1140” (95 feet), fresh powder turns every day
What are your thoughts on Mt Baker vs Mt Rainier? I will be visiting Washington in a few months and would like to see both, but will only have time for one.
Ahh I wish I had some thoughts for you but we only tried to do one hike in Mount Rainier NP and it was completely clouded in... so much so we couldn't see but 50 feet in front of us and we stopped our hike early. 😕 That said... it does seem amazing. We really loved the Mount Baker area though and in general we found any of the wilderness areas to be much quieter than the National parks. How long do you have in WA? If you go up towards Mount Baker you could combine with North Cascades NP which was AMAZING!! Either way, I really don't think you can go wrong!
@@WaypointofView Thanks a lot for the input your videos are great. Unfortunately we will only have 4 full days in Washington, and would like to spend a few of those days in Olympic. North Cascades looks great too, we are hoping to also spend a day there doing an alpine lake hike or maybe cascade pass if we have time. We like alpine lakes and also like to avoid the crowds so leaning towards the North Cascade / Mt Baker area, but hard to pass up Mt Rainier for how big of a mountain it is. So much to see so little time. Might have to request more time off or quit my job like you guys
We were there in September 2020.. looks like this website might give up to date info on the road conditions. ☺️ www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/mbs/recarea/?recid=80180
We stayed in an Airbnb in Lynden.... www.airbnb.com/rooms/37461999?source_impression_id=p3_1628690811_E0XoWbn4ZarYA0rM There are some smaller towns that are closer to the wilderness area but we were needing reliable wifi to work during the week. :)
Northwest Forest Pass is needed for many areas in the North Cascades, Central Cascades to park at the trailheads without being subject to a fine. They are available for the day or a yearly pass your choice.
This was great! Big like and thumbs up 👍 Thanks for sharing this slice of Washington.

@@WaypointofView Thank you for sharing. It is inspiring to watch!
“Most expensive hike I’ve ever been on” buy a car that goes off-road dumbass.
Love your hiking videos, they are really great for getting a feel for places before we decide which ones to go on. Thanks so much for sharing!
So happy to hear that!! Thanks so much for watching! ☺️☺️
Incredible video. You guys capture the scenery beautifully and the intermittent commentary is perfect and adds to the video.
Thank you so much, that really means a lot to us!!
I just discovered your videos & they're really helpful, thank you for helping me fine-tune my upcoming trip to WA :-)
So glad you found us! :)

Very surprised with the quality of these. I feel like you guys have got to explode on here soon... only a matter of time! Safe travels
Wow thank you SO MUCH, that really means more than you could know! 😍😍
Awesome video, thanks for doing this. What month it was?
Thanks for watching, we were there in September.

@@NATEG01 Sounds like North Cascades is a better fit for what you're looking for.
Are you sure you weren't seeing Glacier Peak and not Rainier? You seemed to be pointing too Far East (not southerly).
Those are NOT blueberries. They are huckleberries.
What time of year did you do this? When do they open the road to artist point thank you?

depends completely on how quickly the snow melts off for the season. Usually August and September are the best months.
Hey. I Watched your video. Super nice!
There is a piece of video recorded with a drone. I have a drone I would love to use it there. Is that posible?
Hi there! What time of year did you hike Mt. Baker?
This was in early October :)
Where did you stay?
We stayed in an Airbnb in Lynden.... www.airbnb.com/rooms/37461999?source_impression_id=p3_1628690811_E0XoWbn4ZarYA0rM

Is a permit needed?
Not for the day hike.. not sure if you are trying to camp though. :)

NO NO NO It only rains here and there are lions and bears and mosquito's.... :~)
😂☺️😂
