This is my first kickstarter review, so I'd love to hear what you think about it, and if you think I should do more like this in the future. :)

In this video I review the new "Endless Dice" kickstarter by KAKAPOPOTCG. Truly they are beautiful sets of dice and for that reason alone might be worth purchasing. They are cheaper than several of their competitor designer dice, so they also have that going for them.
Their main draw however is their paint-ability. As such, if that is what you are looking for, I would highly recommend getting their more porous stone-looking sets, as I had a tough time getting paint to stick to the metallic coating ones. However, a quick coat of primer paint and you would fix that problem.
All in all, a great set at a solid value for what you are getting. I will definitely be adding the gold set to my dice rotation, and can see the others being enjoyed by fans off the various colors! :)
If you want to win some, join us on twitch.tv/levelupdice Tuesdays from 7-11pm EST during our DnD stream of my Homebrew world that I DM. We give away awesome sets like these all the time, and some of the sets that you saw in this video will be given away very soon!
If you have any ideas for what you would like to see built/reviewed in the future, let me know in the comments down below! Then subscribe so you don't miss any new videos coming out in the future! Also, if you liked this, gimme that sweet sweet like.

It's okay if they end up disappointing you, but your own enjoyment of seeing that produc for the first time is a big part of the fun I think!

I love how they thought about heavy metal d4s and went 'Naaaah. We are not getting sued for foot injuries."
The multi-chrome set is a bit too much for me. I'd definitely try to paint the indents matte anthracite.
The stone ones are :chefskiss:. Excellent painting potential.
The metallic ones are so damn shiny they make me think of Clash of the Titans. Release the Kraken, indeed. Would chafing them make the dye stick? Chafe them with either sandpaper or use the hand drill with that one small buffer drill bit. The right buffer drill bit could get you very precise chafing.

This is a well done review! I have been eyeing these dice for a while, and it was great to see how you painted (or didn't) paint them, and how they sounded when they were rolled in the dice tray. That being said, I do really love your dice making videos, so I prefer those because they're about creating. I really enjoyed this review because you included the painting bits, but would be less interested in a straight up review of a product and I might just skip that video. Hey Rybo, me again. Loving the vids as always. If you want contrast paints to work more like a wash and avoid the raised areas, thin it with contrast medium from GW. That works for me most of the time. And when it doesn't, a quick coat of satin or gloss varnish really makes the paint move to the recesses 👍

Beautiful dice, your repaints are lovely as always. I bet these feel really nice and comforting to hold, like a weighted blanket.
It's too bad about the paint not sticking though... I wonder if Mr. Super Clear would work? A lot of doll repainters use that to draw on vinyl with acrylics and even colored pencils! Gives the surface a paper-like texture.

You might try using gel polish nail polish for the metallic ones? I have found the UV hardening gel polish sticks quite well to metals (did that to my secret money keyring, a layer of clear topcoat, then burnished it after curing with holo fragments and another topcoat +cure and it looks good) so maybe a single bottle of black, and a clear topcoat? Not too expensive to get, comes with built in brushes and the UV lights, you can use a UV torch rather than a big nail cure or craft light.

I wonder if sealing these first would help. Mr Super Clear is a fantastic matte sealant spray that people use when doing doll face repaints because it is water proof, works really well, and has the tooth you're looking for so that paint sticks to it. It's kind of hard to get in the US but there are other spray on matte sealants that would work too. Or glossy if you want to keep the shiny metallic look.

On the really shiny dice, try using your alcohol inks. They work great on polished metal. Just use a brush like you do with the paints. You have to work fast, but it should work. If you use the blue ink over the silver, the blue will become a metallic blue. I use alcohol inks to color jewelry.

I am WAY late to this video, but figure these could be some good thoughts to share. Apologies if someone else has already suggested these.
If the metal doesn't accept the paint, a light sanding could possibly remove the finish, and make it more willing to hold the paint.
Also, the gold dice could be well accented with some gold alloy hues. Green gold, and red/pink gold hues would do well for contrast, but still tie into the very expensive look of the dice.
