Metrotrails Safe Harbor and Pequea Pennsylvania Hike!

Metrotrails hike that began at Conestoga River Park, then made our way up to the Enola Low Grade Trail and Safe Harbor Trestle. We headed east on the Enola Low Grade Trail and descended the trail prior to the Martic Forge trestle and picked up where we left off last time at the Conestoga Trail. We walked along the beautiful Pequea section along the creek, with beautiful cascades, on an old trolley bed, through a campground, and past a lovely covered bridge. When we arrived at the Susquehanna River, we left the Conestoga Trail and followed unpaved roads mostly to the north to Shenks Wildflower Preserve, then ascended back onto the Enola Low Grade Trail which we followed back the way we came to the Safe Harbor Trestle and then where we started. The distance was around 15 miles.
