i dont know what people expect from french cars…its a car with a 1.2 cylinder 130 horsepower. let me tell you of my experience.i live in gothenburg and wanted to take a roadtrip around sweden and rented a c4 with my wife.first stop was stockholm.this car or any car with the 1.2 puretech 130 hp is NOT a racecar!!!!its not an audi rs6…but damn i was impressed of how alert and strong that little engine was,its seriously is a little monster..and mix it with the c4’s magical suspension makes the ride so comfortable..believe it or not but driving this car on the highway to stockholm was so easy.one thing that also surprised me was how silent it was inside while driving and almost no sound from tyres…(my average speed to stockholm was 150 km/h!!).i used to own a peugeot 3008 that had the same engine and i loved that car,but that special suspension(which citroen is known for) of the c4 makes it a winner.for those of u saying the car is slow…this car is fast, ofc its not and rs6 but it will get u were u need with good speed if needed.then again u dont buy this car for speed,u buy it for comfort.when driving this car u will really feel the extra work citroen put on comfort. the suspension is the sweet spot here, driving this car feels almost like hover on clouds and im not exaggerating. i am so impressed with this car that i have decided to visit the dealership and order one when this roadtrip is over. if u guys dont believe me then testdrive it.u will be surprised.
I have the same car. It gets faster after a certain km, and also -this is what i think- because of a ea8 gearbox there is a little delay between you and the car. So, before I floor it I floor it half way then pull back then I floor it. It makes the car faster.
Sounds like kickdown. It's acommon feature of many automatic vehicles. I had the C5 Aircross with the same engine, did the same thing and it is a very strong engine for its size. Also, Sport mode does change things in the car, despite what people say it much becomes more responsive.
If Stellantis want to survive they would have to enter the market with a new, very reliable, 4-cylinder unit with turbo with possible lpg version...like renault/dacia.
Renault/DACIA are using 3cy. as well, even at the top notch Rafale. Their 1.2 Tce 4cy. was not good either. With the emission regulation evolving, we won't have simple and reliable powertrain anymore. The chain substituted EB2 100ch with the manual gearbox probably is the most reliable one you will have in the future Citroën. Puretech 136 e-DCS6 48V had already a recall and added too much weight to the system. If anyone has Puretech 130, just take care of it correctly with right oil and service book maintenance.
@@thereclus their 1.6 Puretech doesn't seem to have any major problems of any at all, but they seem to have dropped that as a single unit to mate it to hybrid motorisations.

Dayco supplied the problematic wet belt and there is a recall, it is in fact an award winning engine. Usage of the correct oil and timely services mitigates the issue, but it does require at some point a belt change. From 2022 they now have timing chains. In any case, the problem is not particular to the Puretech 1.2, the same problem with some Ford, VW and a few other brands because the belt supplier was the same.

Ride quality is amazing, I had a C5 Aircross some suspension system and heavier car, same engine and it was great. Unfortunately I had to sell it off, due to other priorities and now drive a 15 year old Honda Civic, fast little thing but ride quality by comparison is terrible.

It seems kinda loud in there over 120 tho …?
@@neznamtija8081 well, its a 20k base car. Its not that bad, but you will notice wind and tire sounds at these speeds.
I've had two C4s in the past found them very reliable.

💪💪💪good job. I still haven't changed the belt... the car has covered 80.000 km. That expense is waiting for me soon😂
Watching from US😊❤
1.2 puretech the best and citroen Forever 🔥

Anyway, LPG is going the way of the dinosaur, hybrid is the game
Nice car, but that cab driver... wow. I can't believe he done that, turning into an no entry. Insane

Great great video ! But just it’s C4. The fourth génération of C4 !
No wireless Carplay/AA? Cable only?
pretty sure it has wireless now. I drive a 2018 E-C4 Shine and it has cable only. But the new models have a revised infotainment system.
wow 1.2L 😮😂
Does it have autohold function?
Sadly yes, complete nonsense with the EAT8 Gearbox and you can't turn it off.
I mean yeah 1.2, but for this price it's very decent car
So they claim the 0-100 is 9.4s with 130hp 1.2L and that it only weighs 1300kg :D You did a 11.9s 0-100, something smells fishy here Citroen :D

good fact. the only pity thing the fact is bullshit
@@HologramJones but in construction is problem

Anyone have proof of the engine problems? Does it still drive like old Citroen, so it's rather light, soft and comfy instead of sporty?
