I'm ALWAYS here 💋
Thank you so much for the post Scotty! The feedback and comments are hilarious to read. I'll get to as many as I can. Thanks everyone and thanks again Scotty!!
I love Acura's so much 😭 People say "Oh it's just an Acura" but it's sooo much more. They're unique, sporty, classy, and have a ton of character. I have a 99 TL and love it to death. My dream car is an NSX and mark my words I'm going to get my hands on one of those beauties some day 😍
Ight im gon mark this
2 years later.. NSX Still out of your reach for a number of reasons.
1. PRICE
2.AVAILABILITY
3. NSX OWNERS ARE HAPPY
Did u get it
Marked 🏎️
Any update
Always LOVED that body style. Aged very well.
I totally agreed with you man. They would never go out style they were the first Tuners and for ever be legends in the making. Love JDM😍💚💚💚💚❤
You talking about the host or the car? Haha!
I like the da style integra
Agreed I just brought one that's in mint condition!
It has anti theft built in. It’s a manual.
That presumption does not apply to the world of Honda/Acura.
Except integras getting stolen was a massive problem lol
Old Integra, hell any teggy that is manual will always be top of the priority list of being stolen. Manual trans in these things can go between 300-1500 dollar depending on which one in particular you have.
That presumption doesn't apply to C A R T H I E V E S who are more likely to know how to drive stick.
@@XxChuyoxX everyone i knew with hondas back in the day all had at least 3 kill switches scattered throughout their cars.
Jesus thats a pristine integra. ive never seen one with that good of paint
in ny you can find one.
Are you at least 20 years old?
Taemeister 24
This guy does really nice videos, I just subscribed.
He has a good sense of humor.
Rev up your Acura
Till the auto transmission goes out lol
Ill go rev up my RSX right now lol
I owned a 90' Integra w/automatic trans. and 250,000 miles on the odometer. Still drove fine when I sold it last year for $2000. Most reliable car I ever owned; and I've owned a few Toyota's.
I got a 2000 Acura TL im on my 3rd transmission
Typical on that model. Odyssey used the same trans and had the same issues.
I used to work on Acuras in the body shop back in the 90's. They were some of the most enjoyable vehicles to fix up!
Daniel Anthony They still can be, if they’re older than 2008.
1991 Acura Legend and 1995 coupe ...still drive em
lol youre a funny guy those arent NEARLY the only cars I own fella, nor do I race em ...nor do I drive them more than 3 or 4 times a year....but whatever helps you compensate for your obvious lack in other areas is cool with me buddy.. I dont hate on Hondas of ANY YEAR or their owners..
It's not that we cant afford newer. It's the feel and how it drives. Newer electronics are not the greatest. Hydraulic Powersteering>electronic power steering any day. Throttle cable>electronic throttle any day, etc. I have more expensive cars than "newer" hondas and acuras and I still prefer the 90-2006 cars for that road feel. But you wont understand.
I still have my 92 Civic with 302k miles.
It's my daily driver, and I drive 138 miles a day(for work).
Its so easy to fix and maintain...unlike damn Fords.
I will try to make it to 400,000 miles..but for now I'm gonna smirk at the newer cars sitting on the side of the road.
Nice, only 166,000 miles on it. My GS 4DR had 266,000 before it needed any work (new bearings) but it was a great fun car. Glad to see it featured here Scotty! Cheers
Hard to believe he's a Acura enthusiast with all the hate he has for a pristine Teggy. I understand the unbiased opinion tho. Nobody likes an unrealistic fanboy.
Alex is the man! Love his channel!
Thank you for having him on your channel Scotty, you’re always informative with all your knowledge and I love the way you’re so honest with people!
God bless you and your family! Merry Christmas!
That was a great video! Well presented with just a perfect touch of humor! Loved it! Thanks.
old car that looks newer than half the new cars out there, thumbs up from me.
Thanks buddy!
Exactly
You see to many kia's and fords on the streets cuz they really cheap and their resale value is fucking horrible,a buddy of mine bought a fusion 2016 and he said he is going to get a different car cuz only issues these last 4 months
my DC5 Type-S always puts a smile to my face when i drive
that's a good car aswell. i miss mine

Great cars! My first car was a '90 180k mile integra ls that was Dads. He bought an Accord coupe shortly after.
I have a 93 vigor 5 speed after the integra! Lots of nostalgia from your video.
Thanks!
This was my first car. My cousins had Legends, so I know the differences. You’re right that the Legend is far superior, but most of the negatives you said about the Integra never bothered me. I guess an 18 yr old was just happy and content enough to have a car, let alone the Acura Integra.
How old is this guy, that his back is, "on fire," after an hour in the seat?? I'm nearly 50, and I take all-day trips in my EF Civic (less luxurious than this Integra, by far) and have no such aches and pains.
Hah, I'm 33 but it's just the position of the seat, there's no support for long rides. I drove a Civic cross country, 12 hours a day and I was fine, that's a comfortable car for sure.
@@Altek1 Thank you for the reply. So wait...you're saying that my Civic is MORE comfy than its big brother, the Integra??
The coilovers he has arent comfortable at all especially on a road thats far from perfect
@@eriktruchinskas3747 Ohhhh...okay, that makes way more sense now. Thank you.
@@baddestburrito4718 I own a civic and a teggy. The teg has sportier bucket seats that keep you stiffer and in place. Whereas the civic is just a more comfortable design.
Scotty i dont agree with a lot of your videos but, giving this guy a spot on your channel shows you have a heart of gold.
Great episode both of you.
Nice that you went back to a stock muffler. Too many noisy cars, motorcycles, and trucks out there just making a racket while barely idling.
Thank you for understanding! I don't mind noise if it comes with power, but with 140hp and a loud exhaust, I feel foolish.
I do understand why you removed the yonaka muffler those sound horrible, a quality muffler that does not make tons of noise would be something like a tanabe medalion or a fujitsubo legalis R
jean lessage fujitsubo can get really expensive not really worth it on a car that costs just as much as the exhaust system
I wonder how old that Yonaka exhaust is? Cause i had one on my 98 civic with a B16A in it and it was really quiet and the only time it actually got loud is in Vtec. I still have the exhaust but had to modify it to fit my 93 Del sol with the same motor, its a bit louder cause i took the cat out but it still have a nice non raspy/non ricer tone to it.
Like my bumper exit h22 hahahaha
I absolutely loved those 2nd gen Integras. To me, it was one of the most fun to drive, reliable cars Honda has ever built. To this day, I still want a GSR 3rd gen Integra with an automatic (YES, I said automatic)...It was not ever sold in the US, only Japan along with the Accord SiR automatic.
SUPERB and FUNNy video! Thank you!
Very detailed review, well done!
At least you kept the wheels. Great wheels on all integras.
As much as I like stock, they look sweet on it. The black contrasts well with the red and they weigh virtually nothing.
Little late reply but what type of rims are they
Dude I want this guy to read me a story before I sleep every night.

"Sorry about the Sun, I can't change the tilt of the earth" lmao

Biggest mistake of my life was getting rid of my Integra, which was basically his exact car minus the wheels and dampers. That’s not an ideal ride for a 6’6” guy. But it’s a real joy to drive for that first hour.
Wow, you fit into an Intergra with 6 inches over me? Good on ya!
Same here. Should of never sold my 92 4dr GS 5 speed and 94 4dr GSR with the JDM ITR front.
Truuuue
I got a 93 RS my senior year of HS in 01. I’m 6’5” and I felt it was fine - my friends were like you’re driving from the backseat!
Great video , I love this channel
As a kid a friend of mine had a 94 Integra in "arrest me red." And while his was a different generation, you descriptions is absolutely spot on how I remember it. Currently considering getting one for a project car to keep for nostalgia.
This guy's pretty funny. Thanks, Scotty! BTW he says his channel is Altek1 but it's actually called Altek without the 1.
Thanks for trying to clarify. My channel name is technically Altek1 but you can find me either way. Now you're making me realize I probably just confused the situation, hah. Thanks!!
A 92 Integra was my first car back in 1998! In the 20 years since I have owned over 15 of them, including two rare DB2 gsr's with the little known b17a1. Something about the second gen integra feels like the perfect street legal go-cart. Have to disagree with your comments about the steering wheel, transmission and available power. The roughness you may be feeling in the transmission is likely due to wear and not running Honda oem MTF. With simple things like a real cold air intake, DC integra intake manifold/tb, header, and exhaust 150-160 hp is easy to reach, the latter being with a good tune of course. Swapped with a b18c, h22 or k20, these DA integras will annihilate lots of more expensive sports cars.
AcuraL vR 82..totally agree
I've got a 98 ls with a b20 swap. I went all in on the clutch, flywheel, axles, cold air intake, and exhaust. It's not a Ferrari, but it's very peppy, and super fun as a daily driver. Love that car.
I have a 93 with a JDM b16a and it's sooo much fun
Ive always enjoyed this guy's content! Thanks for sharing, Scotty!

It’s hard to find a 2nd gen Teggy in SoFlo At all anymore. It’s a diamond in the rough w the scene being flooded w civic hatches and coupes.
One for sale in my town half primered in front of a local mechanic shop
NICE I like the older cars and you are lucky you have 3 of them. That was funny when you showed the radio and the rear view mirror.
Funny review. Good stuff
You can still buy a cheap coupe that's fun and you can row the gears. The Civic Si. $23k. As for the Acura, I'm surprised you found one that isn't riced out. A rare find.
@Dirk Diggler u don't see many Fart Cans without power these days.. ppl actually have learned from past mistakes and build the Honda's now to whoop V8s on a daily .
Second gen Integras are easier to find unmodified because everyone wants the DC (94-01) body style.
@@2_2_4_3 I beg to differ. Some people will never change.
Better get your Crapmaro "potatoe" out

That DA integra looks so good!!!
Great review
Great vid, reminds me of my first 93 Milano red Ls in absolutely mint condition, then I totaled it (worst day ever) 6 months later bought a 92 db2 gsr back in 09 and still have it till this day!! Str8 gem!
You will have that car for many years.
Still daily drive my all stock, unmolested '98 Integra. You just can't top the purity of the driving experience -- especially in '90s Hondas. Can't bring myself to sell it just yet.
Drive DB7
Im pretty sure my stock 83rabbit gti tops an acura in driving purity .. a lot slower but purer .
@@darthdaddy6983 : I've never driven a Mk1 GTI, so I can't really compare the two, but what's so appealing about '90s cars to me is that they're a pretty much an ideal balance between driving dynamics, mechanical brilliance, modern(ish) conveniences and safety features and reliability. All G2 and G3 Integras had sophisticated front and rear double wishbone suspensions, high-revving twin cam engines and of course VTEC on the GS-R and Type-R. Many publications still consider the Type-R as the best handling FWD car ever built and, based on the direction of the current market, I doubt that will ever change.
@@drivedb7 DONT EVER SELL IT!!Unless you sell it to me 😉😂

Wow!! So clean!! Respect.
Love it scotty, I own a White 91 Honda Integra LS and it's an awesome car.
I don't know; I had a '93 Prelude with five on the floor, that was pretty sporty. Had 58 more horses too!
Acura really needs to revive these names and Honda should revive the Prelude in SI trim. He should swap those headlights to led since no one really uses hid nowadays.
We bought a Prelude, '87. Traded a Toyota '83 Celica GT which i loved. Wife loved the Honda but was rear ended so hard it buckled the spare tire bin. Fixed but the trans shifted funny. Fixed under warranty though mention of the crash raised an eye brow. DS door widow was hard to crank then the headliner shrunk away from the sunroof. Should have kept the Toyota.
Reading this in 2023 and honda just announced the 2026 prelude!
@@mattcardarelliAnd the Integra was recently revived. The Japanese made the best performance compacts back in the day and the reasonable MSRP is what really sold them. Today it’s a different story, they’re not bad cars, but they can easily exceed $40,000-$50,000 in top trim so I think people just buy them for the name.
Great video 👍
Sweet Ride! I remember in High School gunning it around a corner in this same car & my buddy pulled the E brake without my knowledge & us getting sideways & me frantically trying to get it back in the right lane 🤣👍

*This car is from back in the day that there where amazing Japanese sports cars that were lightweight, fast and some of them where affordable too!* The Suzuki Swift GTi, Toyota Celica ST Limited and GT, Honda CRX, Civic (type R) Vtec, Acura Legend, and Integra, Subaru Impreza WRX, Mitsubishi Evo. Nowadays almost every Japanese car company quid making those zippy little runarounds. Embarrasing yonaka exhaust? That's the best sounding and least offensive street exhaust there is.
God no yonoka is raspy garbage half the time they’re poorly made
Mugen, spoon, hks, or custom is the only few I’d get that sound decent
FroztProductions..Truth
@@klassenkustoms9932 That's absolute bs, those are all more free flowing exhausts which almost always means more rasp on a 4 banger. The yonaka catbacks can even make the single cam motors sound great if you leave the stock cat in.
Obviously I’m implying leaving the cat in taking it out is useless on most Honda engines unless you’re going high power
I’ve never had good experience with any yonoka parts they’ve all been poorly made ( bought directly from them ) the crv exhaust is the worst barely lines up to the hangers
Yonoka is a decent entry level exhaust

very awsome car, and good review.
The govt should pass a law that makes it illegal to put a soup can exhaust on your car. The only people who think that is cool are the young, low self-esteem losers who put them on their cars.
Those exhausts are very dumb yes, but the last thing we need is more government regulation with cars... they've done enough crap already!
@@brandonburley3080 I was joking about the govt law. But, I hate those f'n soup can exhausts. Always young guys without enough money who take their Mom's or Grandma's car and do as many $0.99 cent Mods that they can think of.
why cant people police themselves. they always need someone to threaten them in some way to behave.
Agreed, unless they mod the engine to account for the new putt putt exhaust the cars electronics try to compensate for it in the wrong way. They probably get even less hose power, but just more noise. Like Scotty says, engineers put a lot of time and research into the entire engine system and some young high schooler who knows nothing about engine design that takes a serious degree thinks they can get more "performance" out of the engine is just wasting their money and annoying everyone around them with that loud exhaust.
They're certainly stupid sounding and looking exhausts but is the vitriol necessary?
