THANK YOU JOCELYN for getting me thru a mean week of the flu! Now I am battling a raging case of tendonitis but you are helping me still. While your videos don't CURE, they do soothe.
The music box and other piece was for lose face powder. My dad is 85 and bought one for his mom when he was 10. It is one of my most treasured items. I think they are very cool.
I believe those metal containers with the lucite legs that were broken and played music were meant for powder usually with a powder puff in it. My Grandma had one- in fact I still have it and that’s what she always used it for.
Just love watching you shop! I can still get my shop on without leaving the house! I have found that people are loosing the concept of being polite in public! They have no boundaries either! You go Joss! 😍
I think he may have intentionally done. Once shame on your Twice shame on me. Meaning once is rude/accident and twice is one purpose/confrontational. I would have reported him to a manager at the Goodwill and asked them to have him leave or tell them that you could call the cops to file a report of assault and make a scene, their choice. I learned a long time ago to not be anyone's victim or be backed into a corner. Jocelyn is very nice and non confrontational. She spends Thousands of $$ at their stores but, creeps need to be backed down and put in their place.

I liked that blue cat! It's so pretty! You found quite a few nice pieces! Pick up anything Disney. It sells! Good time to do a good clean out before you hit up auctions again! Then get new stock! I hate rude people! Especially men who think they're superior over women!
The glass tea light holder you picked up before the orange thing with the face on it, is Danish glassware from Holmegaard. Denmark 🇩🇰 and Sweden 🇸🇪 make the best and beautiful glassware.
Beautiful treasures as usual. Keep an eye out for that angry dude. Ya never know, especially if it's been more than one time. Be safe, maybe shop with Andrew a few times in that store.
The candle stick/bell reminded me of the movie Bell, Book and Candle (Kim Novak, Jimmy Stewart, Jack Lemmon...) great mid century furnature and decorative items to behold as well as a lovely little story....all that and a Pyewacket too. 😊
@@trixiebelton4604 I think I've seen everything both Jimmy Stewart and Jack Lemmon ever made.☺️ This one is in my top 5, not a particularly noteworthy film but the music, magic, cast and cat had me from an early age.
Thanks Jocelyn, listening to your busy Bee self is a tonic! Up and going after time down with omicron. I'm listening and enjoying you going about your day while getting ready for mine back to the world!
I am pretty impressed with how quickly you get the items you purchased on your ebay store! I sell my sister and my cross stitch charts and know it’s a lot of work just to get them listed!
You could buy both pieces with the broken legs and take one of the good legs from one piece and put it on the other piece? You would sacrifice one for the other?
Ya know, I think the FTD, Teleflora, and the like, ceramic decorative pieces that may not currently sell very well, may one day be MORE COLLECTIBLE and popular. Yes, they are virtually always made in China. But I’m tempted sometimes bc some of the pieces are really nice and super cute. I think for people who aren’t resellers but want some really nice vases or planters for their home, these might be a great source. But I’ll probably still hold off for now.

Love the sweater you got❣️And you found a cute little dish with a puppy on it from Wendell August Forge…first time I see something cute like that. People can be so rude in shops,Jocelyn…I don’t know why..🤷🏻♀️ I really like the lamps, the are so different. But I think you left a lot of great things behind…
Oh, I actually know something! The owl trivet was marked "E.P. Zinc" - means its electroplated zinc - silver plate. Worth maybe $14-$20. I will sometimes pick them up if they're a good price.
Love,Love the pair (?) of lamps, but up on the shelf they appeared to both be White, in your basket one of them appears >tan, brown, great sweater. 🤷♀️
The last piece you pick up is known as a courting candle. It’s basically like a timer. When the candle burnet down to where it was set to then it was time for the courter to leave.
The two round metallic boxes with lids and a shallow dish inside were mainly known as music boxes. It’s too bad they were so damaged. I had a blue one in the late ‘50’s, early ‘60’s. I loved it. Often, if they were given as gifts, a piece of new jewelry was under the lid.
If you are referring to the black lotus bowl with white lilies, I too loved it. I guess we just have to trust in Jocelyn's instincts regarding resale value.
Referring to the leaf/feather Tapiola Wirkala’s stuff is always classy and holds its value. He called that one a feather (Sulka, in Finnish)I just checked and prices for those in Europe and they’ve fetched some thousands of dollars on a good day!
Hi! At 11:26 there was a Scott Living house planter. Those are sold at Kohl’s and The Property Brothers from HGTV sell the Scott Living merch. Also, the flower arrangements at the beginning of the video had a brand of Sonoma that is also sold at Kohl’s. Maybe Kohl’s donated clearances items.
I recently found you on UA-cam, I enjoy your videos. At the 8:05 mark, you weren't sure what you found. My mom has one, and she used it as a jewelry box when she was a kid in the 30's. As long as I can remember, she has only had 2 of the 3 legs! It's also neat that we visit some of the same shops! Great price on the Wendell August Forge puppy coaster.
The Italian plate is 'Ceramiche Busa Caltagirone' Sicily. Any ceramic from Caltagirone (that's the name of the town) is worth picking up. The brand new ones are very expensive, the vintage ones are extremely valuable!
That was so cool when she had that little love ink well granite pc it said Ozarks Missouri because that's where I live now is in Springfield, Missouri which is in the Ozark mountains so that's cool who did that we find a piece of Pennsylvania?
I had two of the metal musical powder vanity compacts. Both sold for around $16 each. I am sad the ones you found had broken feet! I think those were prettier than mine. ☺
Great end to my day! Glad you didn’t let that guy push you around the store, shame people have to be that way! Good luck on your next hunt, hope you find treasure !
I found a couple of those small round Wendel August Forged pieces at my thrift store last month so I hope I can get the one you found to add to that collection!
Those are things to put powder in. I have my grandmother's .and I am 71..mine is probly about 60 years old or older. To bad legs are broken off..my music box still plays .
