This is a really good interview and Danny Padilla gives clear answers to your questions and he clears up any misconceptions on his training methods. Danny is proof that the push pull system works. These great bodybuilders knew how to train to see results. You revealed very detailed information in the video

Rife with the testosterone boys and anavar Queens. I'm 55 I enjoyed the sweat and sawdust raw nature on some gyms in my youth but I also enjoy a lot about the gyms now. I've learned a lot since those days that I wish I'd known then and I've also lost some things I wish I still had. Keep turning up, keep training, keep learning.
A Natural Athlete can *never* get away with the volume (6 days a week, and sometimes twice a day) that these guys on anabolic chicken did. A natural athlete would overtrain themselves into oblivion
Yeah..they juiced. But they juiced less than you're average non professional gym rat today. Those guys simply worked harder and didn't look for the easy way. Everybody screams steroids because they have shit genetics and shit workout ethics. Like you take steroids and you develop a champion physique overnight. Takes work people...for years. Nothing easy no matter if you are on drugs or not.
@@bradleyellis7336 exactly right mate it's pathetic how many soy boys think that juice is a magical substance that just gains muscle all on its own when they really have no idea what they r talking about
Technically the push pull split is a split where you train the push bodyparts on one day and the pull bodyparts another day. Day 1 : Chest/Shoulders/Triceps Day 2: Back/ Biceps Day 3: Legs. The split described in the video would be A Torso/ Arms/Legs split.
I actually just started this.....after hearing about it all my life since training..., and I must say I really like it. I've been doing now consistently for around 3 + months or so? ...... kinda like how he said,...u can get a lot of work in with this routine, that seems to be the main benefit that I can see... I'm currently lifting at a frequency that I've never trained at because of this split. I've joked (even though its true) a lil about how im training at Ronnie Colemans frequency now....with this new methodology. I'm probably hitting every muscle atleast 1 and half times a week, with it, Coleman being everything twice in one week...., however I don't consider myself a bodybuilder really. I switched from the Westside bar bell method, to this....due to boredom. I'm into bodybuilding, but I hate the idea of neglecting strength and power, so I guess I'm a power builder? As they say. Anyways it's good, I really like it....., it really allows u to train with a super high frequency, that I've never done before, ....cause like him , I've broken my days into 3 different days.....2 being 90% of my entire body, the 3rd day I just hit calves and abs usually split into two different days, which equals either 3-4 days of training however u wanna look at it.
12 sets is not a lot if your doing legs or back? For chest, shoulders, or arms. Sure... But, I'm doin a minimum of 6 different movements for legs or back 3-4 sets per no less than 6 reps. I'm natural but am on point with my diet and recovery supps. Looking forward to more info on his routine👍.
Training six days a week and twice a day is doable if you're on anabolics. Otherwise your muscles and endocrine system get fatigued. It'll be counterproductive. It's a good way to get rabdo.
I am 68 years old and have been working out for 52 years. I always said that I never wanted to be a bodybuilder like Arnold, I did not have that level of commitment BUTI have used Arnolds training methods for many of those years, and why not, he was the best, and it has given me a very nice physique even to this day.

Whenever these training sets of pro bodybuilders are mentioned, it needs to be noted that these sets are done while on steroids, and the body recovers much faster in such conditions. Most people learning new techinques do not use steroids, and try to replicate these sets without realizing that their body would not keep up with such intensity.

@@Hammerhead1986 this was a general observation of all training programs being promoted by steroid users.
