Hi Josie! I’ve used the cake strips for years now! They are awesome. I soak mine in ice water while I’m mixing up my cake. Then I hold the strip high and slide my fingers down to squeeze out the excess water before putting them around the tin. Then, another cake tip, once in the oven, don’t open the oven for at least 20 min. If it’s a cake that cooks longer than 20 min, then I’ll open the oven and spin the cake tin halfway for a more even bake as well. Happy baking! ☺️

Hi Josie, just a heads up, please be extremely cautious when picking what you think is Cow Parsley (what you picked did not look like it) at the side of the roads because it could be Hogweed which is not only poisonous but also the sap causes serious burns and irritation to the skin. Good point! I only just found out about this noxious weed a year ago. I was so grateful to be spared because it looks so robust and flowers so beautifully down the road from me. (Hamptons, NY)
Maybe you'd like to consider using silica gel for preserving/drying your flowers? I think they retain their shape better that way. Although I haven't tried it so I cant say for sure. You can repurpose the silica gel afterwards (it absorbs moisture) so you can use it to keep your seeds from getting molds, your leather and camera from moisture etc.

Unfortunately, eucalyptus has nothing to do with the English garden. It is an Australian native. It is not the best representative of that English Cotswolds garden bouquet.
You mentioned brass jelly moulds but antique copper ones really look stunning, the only downside is cleaning them, a tad more labour intensive than modern moulds.

I personally love that feature and enjoy every time I get the chance to drive in the sport mode.

Gosh! I never thought about this, but driving on the right side of the road - the British way -- you almost have to be LEFT HANDED! I'm sure you, Josie, as well as all Brits, are used to this. You mentioned brass jelly moulds but antique copper ones really look stunning, the only downside is cleaning them, a tad more labour intensive than modern moulds.
