    Static or DC modes on any detector are best for milder soils and large targets. CACHE mode on the Anfibio is a good example of this. In highly mineralised soils GEN mode or VLX2 do really well on the Impact.

    Don't know if I agree with you on Freq used for hunting...I would use 14-20 for relic hunting. And for wet ground and nails maybe for more 20 freq on that. You also didn't go through the other programs that most of us use and you didn't mention all metal gen

      We got some feedback from the manufacturer on using metal gen. We needed to turn down the discrimination as well as use the metal gen when we didn't pickup the gold nugget very well. That setting would have significantly improved to response. Thanks again for your comments. Tony
