The answer to your question would be when you’re gonna do something get it done right if not, don’t do it at all whether for yourself or anyone good video keep them coming
@ still haven’t figured out the one I put the Chinese carb. On. Runs great for about 10 min. Then shuts off give it a couple mins. Starts right up wonder if screen in muffler plugged
Hey bro, what's up? If im repairing my own equipment, I'll make sure that it's clean and working properly. I'll probably run it for a good ten to fifteen minutes before I'm satisfied with the way that it's supposed to be working.
Hey, i have a honda gx 35 that i'm trying to start. It came without the carb and the carb mount, so i got a carb that is from a chainsaw and i build a mount to it. When it works, it works very well, but is almost impossible to start. I already tried to ajust the carb and it didn't made a diference, but when i utilized a air filter (sponge) to it it started and run but it never started again. Can you help me?
sure then, get the correct carb and mount for it, otherwise you risk damaging the engine. I like what you did, and if it had worked without any problems then it's a double win. But since you're experiencing problems it's best to but the parts that's supposed to be on it.
I suspect the carbon buildup left in the engine by the port could be an issue. It seemed about halfway blocked to me. With that much carbon, I ensure the rings aren't immobilized, check the spark plug for carbon buildup, and ensure the gap is still in spec. If reuse gas filters, I give them a hit with carb cleaner spray in the fuel line to blow out any possible clogged pores. If I can, I let it soak for a bit before that.
thank you for brining the exhaust port. The port has 2 profiles, the opening against the cylinder and the one for the muffler. They are not the same size. The opening on the cylinder side is much smaller.
I would probably check for compression, clean the carbon out of the exhaust port, check spark plug, and possibly new carb if it still doesn't work after all that.
not this time. As I was tuning the carb, the blower started to loose power and speed, as if it was loosing power. And when it did stop, the rope was twice as difficult to pull with or without the spark plug in the engine.
@ wow I definitely need to see that it must have been unreal well it’ll be an interesting learning experience that’s why i love this channel I learn a lot here
@@HomeGaragechannel I like the leaning experience that way if I ever had to work on my go kart when I get it I have your channel to learn how to fix it if I need to I wish more people were into learning stuff from this channel some people on UA-cam aren’t into learning stuff people like me anymore are rare I tell people about your channel all the time I brag about it this channel is enjoyable to me I learn a lot I always look forward to new posts this channel rocks love it
Amazing work keep it up ❤
Thank you, I will
More excellent content. Thank you!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.
Glad you got it running again by taking care of doing that
I appreciate that !
@HomeGaragechannel your welcome home garage

I like this comment
Pretty nice u seem to fix these alot
yes I fix more than I like to admit
Always have to start at square 1 and I just use oily foam and a couple zip ties if the air box cover is gone. Happy weekend!
not a bad idea. IF I can't find one, I'll have to consider that
@@HomeGaragechannel All I know is that it beats nothing.
Sounds good now
it's not bad, but on the test run it's started to slow down and stop.

A clogged screen would affect it immediately, no need to wait. Have you looked at the tank vent?
@@HomeGaragechannel I'll check that out thanks
no problem and hope you find it!

Only one good test run then? That's what I was hoping for but that's when things went bad.
@HomeGaragechannel yes. I Usually just need 1 test run and that's it.
Will you have more on this blower?
yes I will.
Hi HG, what is your rejuvenation mix for diaphrams?🤔 mineral motor oil?
Thanks for all the great videos
thanks I use Brake Fluid, However I never tested if mineral oil or diesel would work though.

I have essentially the same blower, badged as McCulloch and i’ve always had a hard time getting it to run properly
oh I rarely get to work on McCulloch stuff, so hard to find these days. Did you ever replace the carb on it?

Could it possibly need crank seals?
it if did need them, it wold be unlikely that the engine would even start and run. Although you are the closest one so far to the problem
@HomeGaragechannel so then I'm thinking it has an air leak somewhere
I wish, it was a "physical obstruction"
@HomeGaragechannel hmmm sounds interesting can't wait to see what the fix was
don't worry, you'll never guess what the problem was. I know I wasn't ready for it.
I think I’ve seen you work on snow blowers once or twice on the channel? I take it you don’t see much snow?
Correct. You don't find them for sale or even in use in the area.
I typically do 3 test runs at a minimum, and more if it acts up.
I like your method
Hope you can find the carburetor cover so can sale it as soon as possible lololol.
thank you I think I have a spare somewhere .
Just when you think you've seen it all. Cheap blowers often need an ignition coil.
I guess I've been on the other side of the coin, it's not often that I have to replace the coils
I would probably check for compression, clean the carbon out of the exhaust port, check spark plug, and possibly new carb if it still doesn't work after all that.
all great ideas, but the issue that's stopping it, you'll never guess what it was.
@@HomeGaragechannel bad coil?
think internal.
@ flywheel key?
not this time. As I was tuning the carb, the blower started to loose power and speed, as if it was loosing power. And when it did stop, the rope was twice as difficult to pull with or without the spark plug in the engine.
Hello I think of what I seen in this repair it just needs a new carb
that's not a bad guess, unfortunately it's a lot worse than that.
I have got one of these blowers that I have got running
nice, what do you think of it? Is it okay?
Id jus toss that in the parts pile bc poulans blowers are hard to get running again
I've had really good luck with the ones I've worked on. This one however had a problem I've never seen before. So 1 out of 30 isn't bad.
Will there be a video on what the real problem was if so I will definitely wait for it if not what was the problem
yes the follow up will show why it was slowing down and stopping the engine. It's a real brain twister.
@ wow I definitely need to see that it must have been unreal well it’ll be an interesting learning experience that’s why i love this channel I learn a lot here

I know they're there for the entertainment and you can't blame them. Most of what I watch is just that.
Sounds like it's got low compression but maybe I'm wrong
in the later video we'll do a compression test to find out.
Runs like a bag of cat turds🤔
I know right,
It sounds like it needs a shot of Nitrous.😂
LOL!!!
