Well done Dave and Fiver. 😊 What a fantastic setting for a lovely run - you did very well, running, holding a dog lead, filming and talking all at the same time. That was terrific. Xx
Great video, looked a lot of fun…Beautiful country park..It is a task keeping the weight off in your 50s for most of us, I try and do 10k steps every day. Thanks Dave and Fiver. Have a great weekend 😀
Fantastic run Dave and Fiver. Its not easy to run and talk at the same time. We almost felt we were there with you. I knew you played rugby once, but I didn't know you were a keen runner as well. Lovely weather to boot. Well do e to both of you.
Thanks Lavinia. Fiver was a good boy. Canicross is still a bit new for him at the moment and so he keeps checking to make sure he is doing it correctly!
Wow! That brings back memories - from the age of 11, I lived just behind the stables shown at 1.24 into the video. In those days, St Giles House was not lived in and as a child I could roam freely around the grounds. The gate that stands on its own, was the entrance to the tennis courts and there used to be a hedge along there. I guess it became overgrown and was grubbed out,
Looks like a fantastic event and very interesting video of it. Great job multi tasking there!! I used to run 10ks but my best time ever was only 42 mins. Now in my mid 60s I do not run at all now. Though the other day I suddenly did a stretch of scouts pace along the seafront out of the blue - and I did run for a bus today! Fiver was great in video too - especially when he saw the ducks!!
Thanks Jean - doing 4 things at once certainly tested my senses! Your time for the 10K was good - we could have had a good race together in days gone by!
Well done to you and Fiver! Very tricky running and filming! I’d probably fall over 🤣🤣 Do you think you could recommend a nice wooded walk , so we have a chance of staying a bit dry on tomorrow’s walk ! Dogs don’t care about rain like us hooomans !🤣🤣 All the best , Alan and Michelle. ( and Maisie 🐩 and Fred 🐕 )
Really well done Dave. I was interested and surprised to hear about your running history. Very entertaining as you passed people. I think Fiver would have shot ahead if he was allowed to. 😊. Thanks for showing us St Giles House. Can you imagine how many servants the Earls needed in the old days. 🛏🛏🚽🚽🪣🪣🧹🧹
Thanks Cathy. Fiver & I did a 9KM trail race together at Matterley (near Ovington in Hampshire) at the weekend. It was "undulating" with elevations of over 150 metres (!). I must admit that I prefer the flat but Fiver enjoys the hills!
That was great Dave and very entertaining. I knew the Ashley Cooper name rung a bell with me. Adam Ashley Cooper the Australian Rugby player who recently retired after representing his country on 121 occasions. I wonder if any family connection with the Earl of Shaftesbury family ?
Thanks Geoff. Interesting point about the Ashley-Cooper name - Wikipedia suggests that Adam is indeed a descendant : en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adam_Ashley-Cooper
Hi Dave and fiver well done. That is definitely tricky running/ talking/ filming/ and with a dog. I have a whippet and live in Dorset 😊 I’ve been loving your videos. I just wondered can anyone walk round the grounds of St Giles house or is it only if there is an event on ? Thank you 😊
Hi Marie. Yes, Whippets are simply the best! The grounds at St Giles House are private so you can only have access to the grounds when there is an event on. Logan & I have just filmed a super 5 mile dog walk at Wimborne St Giles - it will come out in March so do look out for that! Thanks for watching.
Thanks Will. Yes, Fiver is the youngest in the pack at just 20 months (Logan is 6 years old & Monty - who rarely appears on the videos - is 8) and whilst he is a bold chap he still looks up for reassurance from time to time when he is in new situations on his own.
Well done Dave and Fiver. Must say Fiver looked completely chilled. Beautiful setting. 🐾🐾
Thanks Jacky. Yes, I think it is fair to say that I was breathing heavier than Fiver!
Fantastic! Angus and I enjoyed watching that from the comfort of our chaise longue. Well done to both you and Fiver.
Thanks James. I imagine that Angus would just love Canicross!
It is just a beautiful area Dave. Hope you and fiver are doing great💕Thanks Dave I really enjoy seeing and learning about all places you go too. 👏🏻🇺🇸
Thanks Melissa. It was a beautiful setting to run in for sure.
Well done Dave and Fiver. 😊 What a fantastic setting for a lovely run - you did very well, running, holding a dog lead, filming and talking all at the same time. That was terrific. Xx
Thanks Rachel. Fiver was a good boy which helped with the filming!

Thanks. Yes, I am sure that if I cut out the biscuits, my knees would be very grateful!
Well done to you both fab plays for a run.
Thanks Stefan. We certainly enjoyed ourselves on that one!

Thanks Lionel. Yes, I am certainly not used to running AND talking at the same time - something i will have to train for if i do that again for sure!
I like how Fiver Keeps looking back at you. good job to you both.
Thanks Lavinia. Fiver was a good boy. Canicross is still a bit new for him at the moment and so he keeps checking to make sure he is doing it correctly!

I wondered why that gate was standing out there without a fence!
Great run with the dog
Thanks Keith. I think Fiver enjoyed that one!

Thanks. You could try Eyeworth Wood (near Fritham) - that would give you some shelter!
@@DaveFord . Thank you ! We’ll give it a go 😊😊

Way to go Dave. Fiver looked back a lot like a beta would, I assume Logan is the Alpha dog?

@@DaveFord wow, still a pup and very well mannered. In the end betas are the best dogs for training as they are looking for guidance.
