PBK0051 - 2000 Honda CRV AWD at Angeles Forest in the snow.

Driving a 2000 Honda CRV All-wheel-drive which I bought recently. I took a short trip up to Angeles Forest. Most of the roads are closed including Mount Wilson Road. But the road to Mount Pacifico was open! So I decided to take a drive up Pacifico Mountain Road until the snow and ice became a little to risky. Still, I think the CRV did great!

It’ll be nice because parts are everywhere and anywhere for the crv’s and a lot of parts are interchangeable with Honda civics. So there is no shortage on parts. They will last forever if you keep up with maintenance.

Hello sir (Project boardem) , I’m buying a 2001 Honda CR-V it says Real-time AWD I’m just wondering is it always on AWD? Or is there a button to press for 2WD? (It’s a audiomatic (PRND12)

I wouldn't say it's "always" AWD. It kicks in automatically when there's no traction on the front wheels. I've noticed it when I drive. Does decent mileage on the highway. When I go climbing and start to slip, the rear kicks in and kicks me forward. Pretty cool, actually.
