I restored rusty deadlock arbor press in the video. "Made in USA" I acquired this rusty deadlocked arbor press from a junkyard nearby ship-breaking facility, I paid around 20 bucks for it. It was the part that i have been looking for a while. I fell in love with it in first sight. I am very glad for getting a chance to restore it. Hopefully you will be glad with my restoration as well. It it was the same person, it would be a smart move financially. Most of his subscribers would be subscribed to both channels since they're so similar, essentially turning one subscriber into two.

I worked in Grand Haven Michigan and I live in the next town over. It's a great City and Resort town. Great place to visit if you are not from Michigan.
The fact that your shop is so quiet you can hear the bolts breaking loose is a luxury i will never know.

Absolutely outstanding, it was like watching magic happen before my very eyes. There must have been a tremendous amount of work that we didn't see.

I had a thought while watching you paint the raised letters. Maybe you could try covering the letters with Plasticine or Blu Tack and then using a small roller to roll the plasticine until the letters show through. This would perfectly mask the letter edges and when the paint is dry just peel it away to show perfectly painted letters. It's got to be easier and neater than freehand painting. Pain stripper, rust remover than sand blast?... I love the way you debur the castings, really classy.
That really turned out fantastic. I cannot believe you were able to get it working again without any major parts. The way it used to work you could have got it done without no parts but the way you went was really worth the time and expense. That is actually something you could keep in your home. I know around holidays people put peanuts out this would make a good nutcracker. I just don't know with how good it looks that I would want to use it in the garage. If anything I would keep it on my workbench in the house. That one I don't get so involved is dirty crazy parts I normally do more electrical work in the house on my bench and gunsmithing.

You should get a hobby powder coating set and powder coat some of your projects. It will be way more durable than paint. Just an idea. Great job.

Nice. A very common and useful mod for these is to mill or grind the bottom two teeth off of the ram to allow it to ratchet in the full up position. This allows you to position the handle better for leverage.
I've used one of those many times in different factories over the years. You made that piece a thing of beauty.

There was more than one arbor press that was restored. Countless number of them were. The only thing that's different is the product's brand name. 💯

You can put clay over the raised lettering, sand it flat to expose metal, paint it , and remove clay to achieve perfectly painted debossed letters.

Beautiful work. I doubt if the workers on the factory floor many decades ago could distinguish between your restoration and a press they had just built.
The Dake factory would never made the same degree of investment in appearance for reasons of cost.

But major mistake at the end. If you are pressing a bearing into a hole, just musst press on the outer ring, otherwise you could destroy or damage the bearing.
