This is an excellent build that I think shows the full potential of this kit especially for brush painting! Well done! Just to elaborate on what you mentioned, the alignment issue (and minor flash) has been completely solved with the re-cutting of the tool. The new test builds went together very well and we're now proceeding with the tooling for the clear canopies and Supermarine Spitfire. Once these first two kits are released we plan to follow with the next two - an He111 and Bolton Paul Defiant!
The BF 109 looks pretty darn good for a pre production model, but what really impresses me is that little pilot.. sorry, I'm always on the lookout for nifty military figures and to see a well done pilot in 1/144 is super. Great job on the painting Matt!
you make everything look easy Matt! I am building a revell 1/144 scale eurofighter bronze tiger and you should see the amount of decals. im really not enjoying it. do you think i should quit it or just push through to the end? :D
There's no harm in getting to a stage you're happy to finish at, or popping it in a box and coming back to it at a later date - I do that all the time and find that i'm able to solve problems that I didn't think I could originally
@@ModelMinutes No problem. I'm also 100% jealous about how You casually and fast paint the figures. I'm working on my third diorama (and fifth project at all) and I can't finish it because I'm constantly unhappy about how I paint the figs and fix them. Luckily I've started some more projects too. 🙂 How one can snap out of the vicious circle of constant improvements? 😭
@@calibear569 well, I do speed up the footage 😂 the figure was probably a good 30-45 minutes of work tbh. But it is practice, the more you do the quicker you’ll get
With respect, everyone to their own BUT....I'd never bother with a kit so small .....I simply wouldn't have the enthusiasm to make such a miserable kit.
Incredibly impressed by these kits, especially from such a good pricepoint and a small UK business :D Really looking forward to when they become available, hope it's soon!!
I think these would be great to collect and build a fleet for a great display especially where space is of a premium as it is at my home. Thanks for the video.
That was what we thought when designing the range, and it's why there will be many marking schemes available. You'll be able to build an entire squadron, if that's what you want :D!
I genuinely think this is a good product and have tried to be objective with the shortcomings of the model. Just because I receive products for free to review doesn’t mean I have to give them a good one…
Very nice looking little model. I really like the look of round base. The possibility of building a diorama without it taking up a lot of shelf space makes me want to get one. I'm just wondering if really all the parts for other versions are included as they are sold seperatly on their website.
The parts are all in the boxes the same plastic frame, the only difference between the boxes are the decals included and the instructions with paint schemes etc. This is just a decision we made to make the products more fun for kit collectors. However you could build a tropical E-7 using the parts in the E-1 box if you wanted, as long as you had the decals you wanted to use (whether from us or another company :) .)
Amazing work Matt on this 1/144 scale BF-109 & diorama. Also well done for bursh painting the model as well. It was great seeing you using your trusty paint brushes again. Hope we get to see you make the Beacon Models Spitfire or Hawker Hurricane next!
Thank you very much! Yes, I'm looking forward to getting the spitfire! I think the next models Beacon want to do are the Defiant and He111 . . . I imagine the Hurricane will follow if there is interest
@@ModelMinutes you imagine so.......one can't make a series of The Battle Of Britian aircraft without the Hawker Hurricane. Hopefully we will see more releases from them. And get a few of thier kits too 😁
Yes, most ww2 fighters are tiny compared to their modern day counterparts (edit - but i was more referring to how the kit looks much bigger given the level of detail, and it could be mistaken for 1/48 scale rather than 1/144)
Definitely one day, we're currently trying to work out the best way to to staggered releases within collections from different eras - but we're going to finish the ten Battle of Britain aircraft first.
@@beacon_models Thanks for your response 😊 I like to create dioramas but they’ve been in 1/48 and 1/72 and you can imagine the space they take up. 1/144 would be great for airbases, I’m imagining RAF Germany, USAF Europe etc 😁 All the best with your products, I’ll be keeping an eye out 👍🏼 Ian
@@bugler75 this is certainly a great scale for dioramas and we're going to try to make sure there are some interesting accessories available to download and print at home that could never otherwise be made in plastic.

Amazing kit! Good luck on the designing!
@@ModelMinutes got a free kit only last week with latest issue of "model aircraft magazine".
Anyone remember the range of WW1 fighter kits that came free inside Kellogg's cereal packets ?
that's interesting!

@@ModelMinutes ok thx for the tip!
A little tip:
Use the oil paints on a matt surface, then they will stick better. Otherwise, the plane turned out great, as always.
Thanks for the tip! I thought the gloss would help the wash run into the panel lines but I may well try a matt surface next time
Nice build!
I don’t think I’d be able to paint a model this size with my fat clumsy fingers.
it did present some challenges due to it's small size, thanks for watching!
5 star diorama. Congratulations.
thanks!
I’ll have to pick one of these up some time!!Great video!!!
awesome!
It's CaliBear not Calibear. 😜
Apologies, I'll fix it for the next one

Hope you enjoy it!
Great build and video, thanks for sharing.

Good job! And a great video as always.

I'm building the same plane
which manufacturer?
You not only painted the messersmitt but then you whent an extra mile with a nice backdrop 👍👍👍

Quite good, Matt, dispite the tiny scale. Keep up the good work :)

Do they sell to the US? I see no pricing in dollars on their site.
I believe they have US postage but might be worth sending them an email to confirm
We do, yes! The website should have regional currencies displayed, unless there's an error. I'll look into it.
Mate - please send me (a link to) your logo - I want to print one out for my modeling pad. Cheers
Are you on my discord? Probably the best place to get a higher-res version if you ping me on there

Are they considering making more Cold War era aircraft?
