This, this is my anthem. This tune gets me on every level. Had it on vinyl in 91 when I was 12. No other version comes close. 30yrs later and still get waves of euphoria and tears of emotion when I listen to it.
Rock on! It's pretty much a gospel song, but it's also bigger than that and it IS crazy inspirational. I mean, does it get much more compelling than this?

The first was by Frankie Knuckles and was called "your love".

2nd. The original was mid 80's sometime.
Pipsta Productions lots of people think that. The first was a cheesy but funky version from 86. The version you refer to is the most known release which was put together by Johnny Truelove. He put Staton's vocals and an instrumental of Your Love which Frankie Knuckles produced for Jamie Principle. And even Jamie's track was heavily influenced by other artists. This really is one of those total mish mash masterpieces of the 80s disco /funk/dance crossover periods. One of my fave tracks. I remember the first time I heard the Truelove version. Mind blowing.

1991 was such a special year for House Music. So many great, soulful tracks like this one came out, along with a lof of different stuff. DJs still played old cuts back then too, stuff from the 80s and 70s. They knew how to mix it up. It was my first year clubbing and I'll never forget it.
