I've eaten in Peru, China, France, Italy. Many of the countries with famous cuisines(not japan). I've loved all their foods, although for me personally peruvian food is my favourite. But going to Noma, I realized that food with northern products can produce delicate results as well. It was one of the best meals i've had. Happily I didnt pay myself, as a student at the moment, can't afford that :) I haven't tried enough to say its the best restaurant in the world, but its really really good.
UK food is superb!! From Scottish salmon and excellent beef to incredible vegetables, all good. And American cars are great, too. Try a new Chrysler or Cadillac.
Oh yes, I really enjoy that as well sometimes :) Chefs tend to like everything thats well made, doesn't really matter what. But hey, you probably spend money on stuff that I would never dream of. I think everyone has something :D
Can Noma take the title for a second time ? - we'll all find out on the 18th of April....The 50 best restaurant event is being streamed live for the first time this year on a site called fine dining lovers- I've just reserved my seat - sweeeeeeeeet....
WFT!!?? 1:58, did he just serve that lady a single piece of asparagus? Let me guess that cost $30. I guess quantity doesn't matter much these days does it.
Just a little info for you guys. You don't go there to eat one dish. You get around 15 different dishes, and that's without appetizers. Also, you go there for the experience of taste. Just so you know..
@RavagoreTv I don't agree with you because Italy (when talking about Europe) is where it all started. The first gastronomic books (meaning recipe books) were made by Italian writers - Apicius 1, 2, and 3, than you've got the cutlery, when Italians invented cutlery (to be more specific the fork) the French were still eating with their fingers, until Catherine de' Medici(Italian princess) married Henry II of France and brought cutlery, new recipes, new kinds of vegetables to France
@SumoNinja1985 Italian cuisine is a lot more than spaghetti and tomatoes, I'm not Italian but i prefer Italian cuisine more than Danish. Besides Italian cuisine is far more known than Danish
Ofcource Food will be amazing bz the people who are working so hard and doing lot of research and blending the taste perfectly .. This is wat it restaurant should be .. Bz if u want same food like at home so why do people go out .. To get desire experience which u can't get at home
3. Trying to redefine Nordic Cuisine may be the most important culinary revolution ever in the Nordic region, but it mustn't be the reason why the restaurant is the best restaurant in the world, and from where I am standing it seems so. 4. Other restaurants in other countries have much more interesting cuisines and recipes, are on a much better location etc. and you can actually get a REAL meal
Well, that is just wonderful, the fact that you make your own food. But, you clearly don't understand "fine-dining" even though I hate that term. The only analogy I can give you is that - whenever people work a lot with something, any job, hobby or business and get really skilled at it, they tend to know a lot about it and want the best tools, material etc. Chefs like me have a very "skilled" pallet and admire beautiful presentations on the plate. It is an experience and not at all extreme price
@sandrodream1 you need to look at the world and see who sells most.. italy might make many things, but many greater economies exist - thus many other countries produce MORE VALUE :) also per capita. When it comes to food you have to accept that yes italy makes excellent food - but they are not the only ones who do.. and if chinotto was so good why are they not the most famous soda in the world? do people drink coca cola because its worse than chinotto?
I just love the fact that people who has no passion for food (or the general American) comment on these videos like idiots. Just go and enjoy your big mac with fries
Italy is not one of the 3 main things in food, it is France, Middle East and China, that is where most other things are inspired from. Btw pasta is a copy of noodles from China.
I don't really like McDonalds but I don't like these fancy super small portions for extreme prices restaurants either. I would rather make my own food on the grill.
People in here are harsh. Countries in warmer climates more or less invented everything, they have the big cultures, beautiful architecture ,the famous cuisines. This is all due to life being unsustainable for large enough amounts of people in for example scandinavian countries, until technology was advanced enough. Enough about history though. Animals, fruits, etc, here have less taste, simply cause sun energy is less abundant. Most of what we have is bitter or sour.
And nobody from the stuff in the kitchen has a cap on his head. Is the hair additional "spice" and their specialty?! Well, what else to expect when their "chief" is Albanian. Real "nordic" experience indeed.
I haven't been to this restaurant, nor am I interested in visiting it. There are multiple reasons for this opinion of mine, and those are: 1. I am NOT a fan of the Nordic Cuisine (personally when I go to a restaurant I actually want to eat, not taste food) 2. I don't like the ambient and the location which is a warehouse (when choosing the best restaurant in the whole world, you need to pay attention on everything not only the food or the mission but the location, the atmosphere everything)
....you ARE joking right? Gordon Ramsay is a TV chef...the stuff he prepares on TV is ok...but the real deal is what you taste. And I reckon Gordon Ramsay's stuff is ok, but these gys are in another league..
@sandrodream1 you mention seafood as a thing italy invented :) are you sure about this. while you guys were making pastas the rest of the world was inventing everything else. For example denmark you obvously think little of - denmark is the reason you can make parmiggiano because they discovered how to use cows stomachs bacterial flora to make cheese. they discovered electromagnetism, invented the harddisk, tape-recorder, alarm-system, the speaker, insulin, lego, beer, endoscope etc....
@bucketpoo these guys are usally failed chefs and restauirant owners who gave up then came up wth the idea of lets make something totally rediculous then call it food and to make the scam better make people pay very high prices....it worked.....me i eat out at my local fat eddie triple decker burgers with fries and soda
@SumoNinja1985 I now it got nominated, and i know that last year was the best restaurant in the world but i still don't like it reed my comments and you'll see why
I understand the whole art thing but hey it's just not for me. Food art to me is making your mouth water as much as possible. Like lets just compare a McDonald cheeseburger to a triple the size burger made with organic meat non of that processed bull, rare to medium rare, all of your favorite toppings, grilled buns, and just everything else you enjoy eating. Of course it's not the healthiest but it beats Mcdonald's food anyday. I respect your job though, but I wouldn't spend my money there.
Indian cuisine has incredible flavour though it might be spicy to some..but what he just served here was raw!..Come on ..all it is it's fresh..and raw..we are not cave animals anymore..I mean evolution came with cooking on fire..but i will agree some dishes can be eaten raw..but they are definitely not number one! I've been to german restaurants..the food looks appealing but the taste is like bland meat!
BLA BLA BLA, BEEN THERE, and afterwords i went down to Burger King, because the food i got at Noma was tiny and small ..you got big plates with minimum food on it and you pay 100 euros for it(stupid as it sounds). so if YOU think that you will get something for your money at NOMA then think again, its just a big JOKE.
The most I see every where ,the cook use their bare hand to touch the food ,then touch and hold pot ,knife ..too much to touch around the kitchen . how often they wash their hand ? the food is good .But good food is not always safe and clean food
if you are worried about bacteria, i can tell you in a restuarant like that, they wash their hands. and the cooked food you get, well.. cooked/heated food doesn't have bacteria since they die in the heat
British and food? That's like americans and cars. There is no history, no culture. How can I take this ranking seriously.... I'm not With 2 Michelin stars this restaurant might even be worth a trip. Although Michelin is more about business and reputation today than the cooking itself.

Tillykke drenge!
2 år i træk!
UK food is superb!! From Scottish salmon and excellent beef to incredible vegetables, all good. And American cars are great, too. Try a new Chrysler or Cadillac.
I know this is probably one of the most amazing dishes and due its worth, but come one! you must atleast get 2 clams!
@SumoNinja1985 I am talking about Italian cuisine in general, not only Italian restaurants
Oh yes, I really enjoy that as well sometimes :) Chefs tend to like everything thats well made, doesn't really matter what.

You are right about spending money on stuff you wouldn't dream of; Gaming PC and games

@SJPatrik
the plate in the video could be one out of seven plates the customer gets :-)

@RavagoreTv no, actually the worlds 3 best cuisines are from China, France, Peru
@sandrodream1 are we talking about whats healthy and not?
@RavagoreTv I don't agree with you because Italy (when talking about Europe) is where it all started. DENMARK FTW!
@SumoNinja1985 U2
I'll have the grilled cheese ;)
I just love the fact that people who has no passion for food (or the general American) comment on these videos like idiots. Just go and enjoy your big mac with fries
yes this is what happens when restaruants are selling food as plain art instead of something that one enjoy eating
good to have on the CV.....but i've heard you have to endure a lot....low payment and such.
Italy is not one of the 3 main things in food, it is France, Middle East and China, that is where most other things are inspired from. Btw pasta is a copy of noodles from China.

You are missing the point and take it way to personal.
