Amphibia season 3 continues with Commander Anne and Sprivy! Two episodes that reintroduce Amphibia in a way that portrays a bit of a timeskip, including a NEW LOOK for Sasha Waybright, Loggle and other lovable characters! The part where everyone inflated to get out of the snake made me laugh, including Anne, who although she was not going to be able to inflate herself, she tried to help. Seeing her with inflated cheeks was funny

I think that's something frogs actually do in real life. They inflate themselves so predators can't swallow them.

This was a great episode for a true return to Amphibia. I never knew I wanted buff Loggle until now and I love Sasha's new design. She really does look like a warrior queen. It's so amazing to see Sasha's character arc finally come full circle. It's great to see both girls finally back on good terms. Sprivy was a fun little episode, but it was nice to see Wally's dad provide support to the frog resistance. Even though the young frog couple almost butchered the mission, seeing them being adorable together was great. Remember that they were separated all-throughout season 3A so it would make sense that they would want to spend as much time as possible to make up for it. Can't wait to see more of the rebellion's missions.
Sasha Waybright has definitely changed. She's become the best friend she once was long ago on that playground when she, Anne, & Marcy were as little kids.
She is now, to quote Sasha, someone who deserves Anne.

It would be really cool to see (maybe a short flashback recap) Sasha and the villagers building the rebellion and fighting the robots takeover. Sasha-only episodes always have a different feel when Anne isn't around. I know there was Turning Point to set this up, but still.
Maybe Sasha’s angels reveals that.
I love the episode and sasha's new look is wonderful with her finally changing and ready to take charge with anne, the planters and the people of amphibia to take down andrias and to fight darcy and freed her from the core!❤

Theory I'm guessing andrisas robots are not enough to fight off sasha's army but brainwashed the wild to fight off rebels it's really interesting that how his technology works
I'm surprised none of the creatures attacked the gang even after the collar broke since most of the animals in Amphibia are hostile.

When big dangerous predators in real life end up traumatised or confused, food is usually the last thing on their minds. Usually, they just run away in a blind panic until they feel safe enough to calm down.

You know, buff Loggle was foreshadowed in the episode where hop pop's stick was broken, where they entered Loggle's shop and Sprig was like "woah loggle, we gotta talk about this"
I love saaha's new worrier look 🤩🤩🤩she looks like a viking.
I think that Anne’s power to the calamity box just gives her an absurd amount of life energy, and that energy spilled into the stick and leaves causing them to glow, much less of the stick being part of the transformation but a side product of it
Correction: I said glow when I meant grow but it still works lol
Also, Sasha’s crew: Loggle, Ms Croker and Wally all have different eye damages/differences, another hint to the Sasha loosing an eye theory
I wouldn't call what Andreas is doing "terraforming." To me terraforming is intentionally making a planet MORE habitable/comfortable to a civilization moving there, while what Andreas is doing is exploiting the planet for its resources and as a by-product changing/ruining the environment.
I guess it is still technically terraforming, in that it's causing global scale change, but I think the distinction is still important
I think what Andrias is doing is called strip mining.

Sasha the war hero has arrived and she looks so awesome
I honestly enjoyed these two episodes and I love Sasha’s new look. I think that we might have a few more bumps in the road before Anne and Sasha are truly reconciled. And, I’m excited to see the two of them inevitably face off against Darcy.
I really hope we get to see more of Darcy in the next episode. We haven't seen her since Froggy Little Christmas and I really want to see how she treats Andrias. Do they have respect for each other or is The Core really planning to betray Andrias once he outlives his usefulness

Same here. I would like to know if both Andrias and the Core see each other as equals or not. It probably won't be until The Core and The King where we learn of everything about Andrias and the Core.

These episodes were great, but I would have liked Sprivy more if it was handled differently with a similar premise. Imagine if the episode was about Sprig wanting to spend more time with Ivy but Ivy was more serious about her work with the resistance because she has been in Amphibia long enough to understand what's at stake and Sprig hasn't. Sprig desperately tried to spend time with her while she is all business even going as far as to change the teams up like what happened in this episode but tricking Ivy as well so they can spend more time together. Sprig almost costs them the mission and has to learn that there is a time and a place for everything. I think the only reason I would prefer this is because Ivy should be more serious about these things and it would add to how out of touch with Amphibia Sprig is since he's been away for so long. Would also mean that next week's episode could have him more serious and we would have an explanation to why he was being more serious. I feel like this could have been a better angle but the episode was fine as is.
My personal hope was that the two want to staybtogether, but Ivy is a captain or commander or whatever. She leads some small squadron. So she has duties, and Sprig might have things too.
I think Sprig is always trying to be accepted or belong in Amphibia and Earth for the most part so for him to have Ivy in Amphibia not change but wait for him and not change like he did for her is kind of nice especially since thier both still kids in young frog love. Not everyone needs a conflict in thier relationship. Idk ijs
@@LunatheLoungeSinger My main point would be the seriousness of the war and how they don't have time for those sort of things. The episode does illustrate that but with the time Ivy has spent in Amphiba as it became this I would have assumed she understood that already and would need Spig to learn it as well. It's better for Sprig that it didn't come down to that but would have made more sense to me. It's like Ivy doesn't understand what is happening even though she's been living it for months.
Andreas sending robots to Earth would have SUCH a classic monster of the week type feel. Like 90s and 2000s cartoons. Usually shows start of monster of the week and then transition to story, switching it around would feel so weird, lol. And it would change the style of the show.

@@edizicu9853 It's a term for more episodic cartoons where the heroes fight a different monster/villain each episode and it usually doesn't have an overarching story. Like Powerpuff girls for example. They were pretty common in the early 2000s. Since they're episodic people can watch a random episode on tv without needing to watch any other episode. :)

Didn’t Ivy have her suspicions about Wally’s dad at the end of the episode? He did seem to have a guilty face when zooming in on that shot

I loved the Easter eggs of the Core Drill from Gurren Lagann and the Scissor Blades from Kill La Kill in Sprivy.

I was expecting a scene where andrias and Darcy learn of Anne's return. We could've seen andrias showing signs that he was getting of the core barking orders at him.

I don’t know anyone notice or realize that Sasha’s Armor is a reference to another video game named Monster Hunter world/Iceborn. There is armor set called Anjanath Armor set and the monster itself matches Sasha’s herself really well.
Also Marcy’s current state is further mirroring her loss of control in her family since since had no control in her family moving etc.
It's been a while since I've seen a roundtable video, but GOD am I exited for this!
3:07 I don’t actually think that they used the same spore technology to transform Marcy because first of all Darcy doesn’t have any purple on her and we could tell that the wildlife was being controlled by the spores because it had the same purple color as the spores and second of all they used the spores to mind control the wildlife to become mindless servants where in Darcy’s case they had to put a whole new mind in Marcy’s brain the core and I imagine that to be harder than just making a mindless servant out of the wildlife
Commander Anne was kind of a rushed episode, or at least I was hoping for more. If only the budget cuts at Disney didn't cut 2 episodes from the normal season run. I still give it a 9/10 for great follow-up on season 1 and 2 plot threads, keeping Sasha consistent through her growth, and being action-packed and emotional.

I highly doubt that.
Maybe, but it probably won't be a full redemption. More like a bad guy teaming up with a good guy against an even bigger bad guy.

Since it is called Olm Town Road, and the gang goes off to explore [forgive me, I don't remember the name of the town] to look for the prophesy, and right after that, is The Mother Of Olms, where they do meet Mother Olim I think she was called.

I just realized the mion foreshadowing in the end credits. Nothing big, but it does directly draw focus to it. That's cool
Here is something I'm wondering about the three gemstones and the roles the ones connected to them were supposed to play in the prophecy. The three roles I see are Guardian, Strategist, and Commander, I think these roles were supposed to be filled by the pink, green, and pink gems respectively. Pink being strength would mean it was supposed to be the muscle and defender of the three, Green being wisdom and intelligence so the holder was supposed to be the thinker, and blue is the soul and uniter so its holder was supposed to lead. However, Anne, Sasha, and Marcy did not come to the stones the way it was supposed to be done. This is why Sasha is the Commander, Anne is the Guardian, and Marcy was supposed to be the Strategist but she was taken by the Core.

Okay, since I've been seeing people not know where the scythe is from, that scythe is called Soul Eater from the Phantasy Star Online series. It was used by a guy named Kireek and is also found in the Universe series of games and as a weapon camo for the sequel pso2. Also it did appear back in season 1 in Combat Camp along with the other weapon cameos.

The tie-ins for Final Fantasy VII are strong in this episode. Apart from the Buster Sword Easter egg, Andrias became Shinra while the Wartwood Resistance became Avalanche.

I feel like Anne losing her shoe and having leaves in her hair I see no convinced that it will tie to calamity powers fight that Anne is better at using swords and always has leaves in her hair tells
Me that in the future Anne will probably become a Nature Knight it depends what will happen before the three final episodes
The reason why Anne wanted to give the commander helmet back to Sasha because she clearly had more commanding skills then her however Sasha was vary mean to her so she wanted her to take it to apologies to her plus she saw Anne still had her calamity powers after she almost lost her long time frog friend (sprig) she realized that the frogs had more in them then she previous had thought fact that they help her defeat the Big Fat Frobot shows alot about them it
obvious that The Frogs, The Toads, and The Newts will help each other defeat King Andrias and the core in The Three Armies I wonder if Marcy can get out of the core before the end of the series however that seems unlikely unless she was a ghost or a sprit of her self then only one who has messed with undead magic was maggie marcy’s close science friend
It'd be cool if you talked about how instead of Sasha wearing the commander helmet she now wear that bird headpiece thing (probly still to signify shes commander) which I think could have some deeper meaning but idk. Still great video though!
