  • After a year of working from home and sitting on my arse all day, I decided to pick up this standing desk from Flexispot. This is my full review of the Flexispot 48" Electric Height Adjustable Standing Desk EN1.
    I had seen some other UA-cam reviews of the product - most of them sponsored videos.
    This is NOT a sponsored review. Flexispot did not send this my way, this is my full, honest opinion of the desk which I bought with my hard earned dogecoin.
    I address the elephant in the room, which is dat wobble. Timestamps below for assembly, the all-important cable management and final thoughts and review.

    Was looking for an exact assembly video of the same model that I bought before I tightened and drilled the screws in. Good to see that you had the same issue with the power supply not having any pre-drilled screw holes. Good video. Thanks!

    Thanks for the excellent review, you provided a lot of informative, honest, funny and fair feedback. I also liked how you showed the cable management method and the ikea addons :) I can relate to not walking around in Manhattan (pros and cons) during lunch/coffee break. Great review and fun humor. Just received my desk today (November 2021) Flexispot made big assembly improvements on their end - now much easier for consumer. I only had to attach the 2 vertical legs and feet. The power supply box came neatly velcro-ed to the bottom of desk surface. I bought the cable management tray accessory, will install that tomorrow.

    Loved your review! You covered all aspects that was important for me. And, you were funny which made me rewind video at few places and watch it again ..haha. Quick question - My job involves typing a lot (and of course, with it moving the mouse). Does the wobble bother you when you have the desk in standing mode and when you do a lot of typing? Thanks again for the great honest review! Subscribed to your channel too.

    • @QuickTechReviews
      @QuickTechReviews  2 роки тому +1

      Hey thanks for the comment. For typing and mouse moving, the wobble is not noticeable. For writing with pen and paper, same.
      If you have to erase something with a pencil, the desk will definitely wobble. If you bounce into it lightly, the desk will wobble. All in all, I’m happy with the purchase and have had it for quite some time now. Still works well!

    • @QuickTechReviews

      Yes - they were labeled fine - only problem was missing some pre-drilled holes in the desk top, but easy enough to drill yourself 👍

    Excellent video! I came across this desk recently & keep thinking about it for a. urging table for my quilting room. Love the idea of being able to have it different heights if I want to sit at it or stand to cut fabrics. I have also thought about replacing my desk for one of these. I have a Mac Mini with a pullout shelf for my keyboard. Do you have any idea of a shelf. hold be attached to the desk?

    • @QuickTechReviews
      @QuickTechReviews  Рік тому

      There are plenty of options for attachable under-desk trays - in fact, Flexispot even makes their own - although they look a bit tacky and clamp on the top of the desk. I would just google "desk keyboard tray" and see what looks best ;-)

      It comes in two separate boxes, the frame and the top. The box with the frame is probably 50lbs or so? Once you hoist it over your shoulder you should be ok. The table top I opened the box and carried it down my stairs - was easier than carrying the huge slippery box

      Awesome - thanks for the comment.
      The power strips were from Lowes or Home Depot. The surge protector one with 2 USB ports is from "Commercial Electric" - CE TECH 7 Outlet USB Power Strip.
      The smaller one is just a generic, 7 dollar cheap powerstrip. The braided cable/extension cord going into the wall is HDX 12ft braided extension cord.
