Thanks for the honest opinion of this knife. I used to think Boker was a high end company but after viewing several other videos, I've changed my opinion. Thanks.
That's why I love your videos, honest and to the point. This looks like a great hunter/skinner, however not much else. Let’s hope that this was a one off and the rest of the production line does not ship as dull and with the handle pin problem. Keep up the GREAT work!!! PS because of your reviews I just ordered the Brovo1LT (Elmax), Bravo 1.5 (S35VN) and Bravo 2 (S35VN). I love my Fallkniven A1, S1, and F1 regular and PRO but you turned me on to Bark River because of the quality of built and handle ergonomics. They should be here next week and I can’t wait!!! Again thank you for all that you both do and you will be celebrating 6,000 subscribers very soon!!!!
Nice review guys! I have experienced the same problem with my boker plus knife. The factory edge was uneven, took we quite some time to fix it with the landsky. If they would not rush the sharpening they would actually increase in value imo.
for sure! we would have had a much better experience if it had come razor sharp. Delivering a sharp knife shows that you stand behind your product. didn't seem so on this knife... it looked rushed.
Say Heah Dutch, I just bought a Bokor Coye Ridgeback, I teamed it with a Benchmade Arvensis 119, I bought them for wet, and snowy weather, I think Bokor nailed Tempering their 440c. But the Aversis 119 is in the 154 CM. and I think the two will compliment eachother. Nice to see you again.

Dudes, the all around knife by Boker is the Vox Rold. You need to square the spine. The finger choil allows you adjust your grip for caping, but it is more of a survival blade.
they are beautiful indeed! I do think it's unacceptable to sell a knife with an unusable edge. you can't expect all your customers to be able to sharpen a knife.

I got 2 boker arbolito and had the same problem. The heroe g model was terribly dull when i received it. Love the look and after a lot of sharpening it works fine (7/10) for EDC. My other one its a Drop point. Acceptable sharp (8/10). Like this one for allround. Its a shame this poor quality control and the "esthetic above all" product development. Hope to see review of this 2 or some Yarara knives ( argentinian brand with fans and detractors! ) thanks and sorry for my poor english. Excelent work!!!!!
Your english is perfectly fine! it's like you say, these boker knives have great aesthetics but quality is off. I loved my boker arbolito el trampero 100 anniversary edition but I guess they put more effort in that one.
Dutch: not a good bushcraft survival knife. Roland Welker season 7 Alone: Son I just stabbed a musk ox, took him down, processed it, and survived 100 days in the arctic winter with the Boker Arbolito.
I hate knife companies that don't sell their knives sharp out of the box. For the pins to come loose like that I think it was just a poorly made knife. That should not happen. I am curious how much would one buy that knife for? great review.

Shame on Boker for sending out a poor example and putting you guys in a weird position... Did I mention that this was uncomfortable to watch? Lol
N695 is Bohler answer to 440C, a good balanced steel. N690CO is one rare alloy containing Cobalt which makes drill bits tougher and more edge holding. An Italian drop forged N690 blade is amazing! Vg-10 is another Cobalt bearing alloy that I know of. No pm sintered powder metallurgy alloys have Cobalt that I have found.

The "Arbolito" knife isnt made for survival or buscraft , and the mark makes Gaucho knifes , collection knifes , but not bushcraft knifes , you can use them like that but that isint the real use :| , but good viedo
The knives from Boker Arbolito obviously suck. I purchased a Buffalo Soul 42. It also was completely dull. More like a blank. I could press it against my skin, making sawing motions, not a mark. Second, the tip was ground badly, beyond a reasonable recovery. Now I did grind it into shape, but I had to remove a LOT of metal to make that happen.
By the way, if this is a review sample they sent to you for testing and they want it back, there's a good chance they sent the same knife to someone else for testing before you. That's most likely why the edge was dull and poorly sharpened, the guy before you was just bad with it. You can expect Böker to sell well sharpened knives, especially at that price point.
+Stephanie Dubois agreed. Sadly we were out of the season. Testing knives on game isn't easy in the Netherlands. I love my toyokuni mountain stream knife for deboning pigeons. It wouldn't last long in survival type tests but I still love it.
thanks mate. We never actually have seen a knife that came so dull or badly sharpened as this one. It's a shame we didn't make a close-up of it before sharpening. cheers!

you could always use a wedge
primitive technology 😊
The knives from Boker Arbolito obviously suck. I purchased a Buffalo Soul 42. It also was completely dull. More like a blank. I could press it against my skin, making sawing motions, not a mark. Second, the tip was ground badly, beyond a reasonable recovery. Now I did grind it into shape, but I had to remove a LOT of metal to make that happen.
+TacMed yea it was a big dissapointment!
Hell boker just got one a their knives sharpened for them and I bet they try and re sell it lol
Can you sing wanderwall?
Nice Atlatl mates lol
ohh the editing is so funny ohh 💩
hahaha thanks Joe!
How does it cut meat 🥩? Yarrr bois
Funny as hell mates hahaha
haha thanks!
In the knife 's defense, that looked like oak, what if you got lost in a soft wood forest? LOL
Well, fact is - if it does good in the hard tasks/wood, it will do good on the soft ones :)
Peicho Kostadinov But I'm God I know best.
When i make a knife and sell it to a customer i make sure it's shaving sharp every time.
try hunting knives first on game. Because I think each knife has his duty !!
+Stephanie Dubois agreed. Sadly we were out of the season. Testing knives on game isn't easy in the Netherlands. I love my toyokuni mountain stream knife for deboning pigeons. It wouldn't last long in survival type tests but I still love it.
It's listed as a hunting knife, you need to skin things with it? The dull blade was defiantly a down side. Thumbs up!
thanks mate. We never actually have seen a knife that came so dull or badly sharpened as this one. It's a shame we didn't make a close-up of it before sharpening.
cheers!
