My local shop owner still waiting on me to order mynstarter army bundle because i told him im waiting for your USA starter bundle video. This conversation actually happened.
Don’t care what one was picked , I went with the winter Russians and I stand by them. They are excellent in my eyes. I just got a T 34 85 along with it. The winter Soviets look so nice though.
Definitely agree on the last place - no mortar, a light AT gun to accompany a tank that can more than handle armor, a very niche tank, and the most expensive means it should be last. Personally think the winter set should be ranked higher; the fact that you get two options for tanks, one of which has a heavy howitzer for all-around threat generation, and more infantry so that you can build out more AT teams is fantastic. And with the likelihood that points costs for big tanks are likely to come down in V3, I think this one has the best chance at rising stock in the next 6 months. But I think you're right: Siberian Veterans is fantastic value giving you what you need, while giving you room to customize/accent with what you like. Keep these up! You're doing a great job on the reviews!
The Siberian veteran box is a diet or mini starter set. You can make a legal platoon out of it Metal commissar as the officer MMG Team 12 man free Soviet sqd X2 8man infantry sqds ATR or sniper. Plus the metal upgrades are cool and make them unique. I’ve bought the box multiple times and it’s a great mini starter set I hope warlord does similar sets for the other nations would be a great way to get new players into the hobby without a huge investment.
