4 years later you’re still helping people. Adjusted my glasses with hair dryer, thank you! (Was going to make sure because online article said absolutely no hair dryer but I think it’s ok lol)
Saved me 1 1/2 total driving time and probably 20 minutes waiting at the eye clinic, in total you saved me at least 2 hours and about 6 bucks in gas and on my Saturday off....... PRICELESS! 👍👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 thank you.
Thank you for this video! I just spent 45 minutes watching 3 X 15 minute videos about how to do this (via one method!) on another channel. It took 30 seconds to understand how by watching yours.
I wasn't able to pop my lenses out so I just covered the lenses with a small microfiber cloth when I was heating up the eyeglass frames. I used the hair dryer on the lowest setting for 10 seconds for each part of the frame I wanted to adjust, and it worked perfectly. He didn't mention it but you can also loosen your eyeglass temples with his methods.
This helped so much I ordered my classes online and with the virus going around I had to make the adjustment from them sliding down my nose myself. Thank you
I have same issues with mine, it kept slipping off my nose also. Due to the virus that's been going around I dont wanna go in to any places at this time. I might have to try bending the curve part to hook onto my ear more so it won't slip off my nose. Hope it works. 👍
Recently I experienced pinching behind my right ear caused by my new eyeglasses frames. I returned to where I bought them, they made a slight adjustment, but the problem wasn’t solved. So I searched on UA-cam and found this tutorial. I filled a bowl with kettle boiled water. I dipped the eyeglass arm (10 - 15 seconds at a time) into the hot water. I carefully made adjustments. Now FINALLY my eyeglasses are comfortable. No more annoying pinch. thank you very much! 😃 👍
It works! Yay! My glasses kept sliding down my nose and now they stay put! I skipped removing the lens (only adjusted the bend at the temple) and I pointed the blow dryer at the frame for about 20 seconds (I have a low power hair dryer). Thanks!
@@papl20 Nope, nothing. I assumed that as long as I'm just adjusting the bend of the temples, there's no point in removing the lenses. But if I do fix the other parts he talked about, I'll definitely remove them, I don't want to risk distorting them or overheating them and whatnot.
just did this, what a godsend! Like many others, I got glasses during the pandemic and this has helped m,e so much. My glasses are actually staying on my face
How strong is your script? Saw another comment that said don’t do it with a strong prescription and my sons is really strong but the back of his frames need bent so they stay behind his ears. I don’t want to pop the lenses out if they don’t go back in right!
Thank you so much!! My new glasses kept slipping off after I had worn them in -40 weather. We only get glasses people coming to our community 3-4 times a month so I'd been just not wearing them. This method fixed it!
2:44 "From there you just use some force, and the lenses will snap back in" - It was terribly hard to push the lenses back in when I first tried. The trick was to push evenly from all sides and not try to push in one side first. If working just on the temples one can wrap the lenses with a cloth maybe to protect them from heat. Other than this the video was very helpful - thanks.
@@zinwaiyan6474 If you push in one side then try to push in the other side then it's hard. The trick is to push all sides evenly and it should be alright. Also if the lens and frame opening are not perfectly matched it's hard. I guess applying heat to the frame would help too like you did.
Thankfully I had the opportunity to watch the professionals at visionworks struggle for 2 HOURS trying to pop the lenses back in (the frame color was wrong so they gave me the frames off the display & had to switch the lenses). I had to come back the next day so someone else could do it 😆 Needless to say, I will never ever be popping the lenses out of my glasses! At least not on purpose lol. have the exact same frames as the video, but my lenses are -8.00 & only medium-slim, so the lenses are THICK, between 1/4th & 1/2 an inch 😅
I love that you're using the exact same frames that I'm trying to fix (generic visionworks), but for whatever reason, I can't seem to fix the over extended arm. I fell asleep on them with one of the arms open, so they were bent under pressure for hours 🤦♀️ I've used both a hairdryer & hot water, & was able to fix most of the bend, but the last little bit just won't go 😭
Ty! While I got my frames locally we have been in there several times for adjustments and sometimes you can't tell if it's going to be too tight or too loose until you were them for a little while. With all 4 of us getting 2 new pairs we have been in there a lot -_- I just had them adjust mine last night and I kept telling him they were crooked and didn't feel right. I thought he was getting frustrated with me so I said forget it and told myself I'd have someone else adjust them when I went back to get my 2nd pair that they had to reorder. ANYWAYS it was making me so annoyed to have them sit crooked on my face and with this video I fixed it in 30 seconds. Wish I had seen this before when my daughter's were too loose and kept needing adjusted.
Nov. 2024, genuine thanks for keeping this video uploaded to your channel. I’ve lost my favorite pairs of designer shades 6times (yes, I’ve bought the same Gucci Polarized 6 times 😅) and until the 7th pair they’ve fit me perfectly thanks to your video!
I bought my glasses online and they are a little loose. I'm thankful for this video. I'm looking forward to having glasses that fit. Thank you for this video.
What adjustments can be done to stop the deep red mark on the bridge of my nose caused by my new plastic glasses. I have been back several times for adjustments. They've eliminated the marks on the side of my nose and have now caused the ones on the bridge of my nose. Very frustrating! Please 🙏 advise, thx!
Thank you!!!!!! I had to use hot water to soften mine, but it worked like a charm and now my stems aren't flaring out anymore and my glasses have stopped trying to run off my face!
You helped me save my favorite pair of glasses from Zeelool that had gotten so loose and after following your steps I repaired them perfectly than what they were when I first purchased them lol
I tried the heat method to bend out the temple tips on my TR60 glasses because they pinch behind my ears, but they didn't budge a mm. Is there some trick to adjusting TR60 frames?
I'm not sure there's a fix for that. Sounds like the frames may be too narrow. If you have an older pair that aren't like that, check the width and that may be your width requirement. I just learned last year about frame width and arm length when buying glasses and now make sure I look at nothing with a short arm length.
I left my plastic glasses in a soft case inside my backpack for weeks. My PC was sitting right on top and bent them up. I saw this video, grabbed my heat gun and did exactly what he showed us. Fixed! Yes be careful not to overheat with a gun instead of a hair drier!!!! If it burns your fingers its probably too hot!
What if one ear is lower? Frame won’t be level with eyeballs. Then frame should only make three point contact with table. Twisting nose piece will put lenses out of parallel.
Thanks for posting! My new pair of glasses arrived on Monday in the mail and I love them except the fact that one side tends to pop up where as the other side sits flat on my ear and Behind my ear and the top of my ears are hurting because I had to be in the air pieces down in order for them to stop sliding off my face. What do you recommend I do?
Thank you for posting this video, it helped out alot! The glasses I got today seemed WAY too small and then I did these tricks and they worked out great!
Hi Lajm 92 - we recommend popping out your lenses when adjusting your frames, to prevent scratches or effecting any coating you might have on the lens.
Accidentally fell asleep with my glasses in bed! Woke up and the arms were so far out I thought I could fit them on a horse's arse. Thanks to your video they wear like new.
Thank u. I got my glasses in store but I lied and said they fit because I'm super awkward and now they've been annoying me ever since
Hahahhahaha I can 100% relate
Me today.
Me tonhaha
Me... right now 😂
Cmon man. Don't be a stereotype. Break the mold! Be bold!

Even still now cant push back in

It is okay just right now.

god thanks I literally had so much head pain cus it was so tight
How do you adjust the fixed nose piece on a plastic frame to make it go in tighter on your nose?
Thanks! Used the dryer method..bought Gucci sunglasses second hand. Fits so much better!
Great video and amazing tips!
Will be great having more people posting useful video like yours.
AWESOME ...MANY THANKS IT SAVES ME A TRIP TO THE OPTOMETRIST EVERY TIME THEY NEED ADJUSTMENT .CHEERS

Thank you, your instructions were great, worked perfectly!
need to keep from slipping and WoW worked Great, Easy & Fast ! Thank You Very Much
If the arms don’t sit equally on a table and you adjust them on the nose bridge portion, won’t that make the lenses Crocker from top to bottom?
Thanks so much for this information.
Very helpful. Worked for me !
Thanks for the tip! P.S. You are ADORABLE! ;)
Thank you very helpful 😄
OMYGAD REALLY HELP ME WITH THE NOSE BRIDGE PART!! THANK YOU SO MUCCHHHH
This video is perfect. To the point and with enough information needed to DIY. Thank you!
So glad we could help Chris :)
Great video. Thank you.

Hoe do i adjust the sport plastic frame
Thank you! This worked out great for me.
YES this worked! THANK YOU
He’s as easy on the eyes as he is on the glasses 👓 seriously thank you for this clear tutorial
Would this work with Ray bans wayfarer??
Thank you, very useful!
Looks like a great video
I recently got new glasses and they feel tight on my nose. Is there a way to widen the bridge so that my frame feel as tight on my face?
I'm short sighted and can't go without my spectacles, have 2 new pairs I don't wear cos they just don't fit the way I want, will definitely try this😊
Hi thank you for this. I was able to fix my Tom Fords.
It works! Thank you!
I just slept on my glasses. The left arm is bending out really bad. Would this work on it? I'm worried about popping em out and cracking them
Thank you so much dude! Such a better solution than just bending the frame bars... clever! saved me from returning my glasses back!
Would you advise against using a heat gun instead of a hair dryer?
I need to push the left temple in. Do I have to heat it up before pushing the left temple in?
I tried the heat method to bend out the temple tips on my TR60 glasses because they pinch behind my ears, but they didn't budge a mm. Is there some trick to adjusting TR60 frames?
Helpful - also, dig your tats!
Can you do that with Bose frames too?
Wow I needed this video. Thank you!
Can/ should you do these to plastic rayban arms?
It applies to all plastic frames but feel free to contact Ray Ban if you'd like to make sure.
What if i dnt hv dryer???
Nice (space) Heater... I put a Marble top on mine.
Thank you my friend!

I'm so flustered lol....what about if the frame is bent closer to one eye than the other making it not fit properly. How might I fix that?

Does this apply to acetate frames?
THANK YOU! Step-by-step perfect tutorial!
If I don't have a hair dryer how can I heat the plastic up? Thanks
Hi Edward, you can run your frame under warm water for a few seconds to heat it up.
Welp, this worked perfectly. Thank you.
What if there too tight?
u just saved my glasses THANK YOU!
Can I do this with my prescription glasses? I'm afraid to pop out the lenses though
How do I adjust the nose part of the plastic glasses if they're sitting on top of my nose not fitting properly for my nose size
Unfortunately Rebecca, you are unable to adjust that. Just the temples and arms of your frames are adjustable.
Good advice
Thank you for posting this video, it helped out alot! The glasses I got today seemed WAY too small and then I did these tricks and they worked out great!
